I just luv the fact that you don’t take it so seriously! Like you’re just a homeowner doing what homeowners do! Nothing extravagant. It’s awesome to see!
Your going to learn to love those 2 in 1 sharpeners. I own 3 and won't go in the woods without them. As for the mini, definitely not the right size for a wood yard. But I must say, everytime you run it, it impresses me. I'm actually shocked at what all you have lifted with it.
Good info here. You need to develop a process with less handling. Like tossing the splits into a tractor bucket rather than just another pile on the ground, which you have to lift and move. Think minimum lifting. As a 70 year-old guy with a sketchy back, minimizing lifting is a priority...
Fuck A Duck ! That was a Funny video--- a little LOL That "Machine" is a back saver in some applications yes. But, it's really not a "Machine" It's a Tinker Toy. Thanks for the Video. See you on the next one :)
Thank you for this video im lookimg to purchase a 2.5 ton unit for working logs at my hobby sawmill and am now confident that thats the minimum size machine i will need no second guessing muself that i couldve made do with a smaller cheaper unit
Hey Kyle ... I was thinking about making my Champion log splitter into a permanent vertical unit like you're planning to do to your Husky.. Are you going to put an oil cooler on it that has a fan built on. Was thinking that would help cool the hydro oil a bit. Could hook it up to a small portable power station to run the fan.
Thank you for this video. I really needed to laugh this morning. Going through a tuff time. The sharpener is good. Have used it for 3 years know. Have a awesome day . God bless you and your family.
Thanks for sharing this! If I could give any advice,,, id recommend carrying the logs with the excavator over close to the splitter before bucking them. Unless you think this machine was too small to carry them?
If i lift the front blade while picking the larger logs it would tip. I was just trying to demo the machine doing different tasks. Moving logs and rounds.
Kyle, could you cut some teeth with a "machine" into the side plates that look like they are bolted into the bucket? Maybe that would help with grip holding up a tree trunk in the air to cut? This is a great video, as I'm sure people would try to do this kind of thing with the excavator on a property. Best, --J.Andre. / Old Iron Acres
Look into a dermal chain saw sharpener. I got one and love it. If you wanna go crazy. Buy the Milwaukee dermal. Love that to. Can sharpen your chain anywhere.
The issue of the hydraulic circuits leaking down pressure will be the same whether the engine is running or not. The clearance between the bores in the directional control valve body and the spools (the part of that moves inside the valve body) precision ground clearance fit that is metal to metal. Due to design and operational limitations o-rings and/or seals cannot be used internally between the porting of the valve body and the lands on the spool. Therefore some bypass leakage is always going to be present. In higher end and more expensive machines check valves are incorporated in the circuit to block the circuit and eliminate the potential for that bypass leakage. Those components in their added expense and complexity are not viable in an inexpensive piece of equipment like this.
A lesson I learned from my dad: NEVER put your hands on the ends of the rounds when splitting. He learned that one by chopping his brother's hand off when they were young.
I would retorque the valvebodies together, there been cases where it was bleeding off between them, without actually dripping on ground. Or thumb cylinder leaks internally?
@@rickeyman2215 the video was just to demonstrate the abilities of the excavator. Wasnt about woodyard workflow. I wanted to show it lifting logs and moving rounds.
People probably need to realize that these Chinese machines are basic machines but if you have some mechanical ability some tinkering around you can make them run pretty well the hydraulic thumb not being one the joy stick makes bonkers especially when you are use to running bigger machines alot of times they set pressures low another cool informative video especially on the bypass valve I think increasing the bypass pressure would help with the hold material
Good evening yall. I really think most all mini excavators don’t have much travel on the thumb. I run a Case at work and I really have to curl the bucket to get the thumb to grab. I enjoyed the show as always. Cheers 🍻
Whenever I use a chain sharpener, I Immediately feel that a new chain is pretty cheap. Maybe that one is better. You think the quick connector would make the thumb line up better being a few precious inches longer?
Hah! Ya i know what you mean. After a good 15-20 minutes of filing the chain. And no, the quick coupler actually makes it worse. Its more of an issue on the larger machine.
I have not. Id have to imagine with excessive weight like that the hydraulic valving in them just cant handle it. It will lift it bo problem, just struggles to maintain it.
Kyle, I enjoyed the S#!+ Show ! Stay safe and hydrate Bud wear light clothing on these hot days! .,( um maybe I shouldn't have used the words...'Bud' and 'light' in the same sentence?) Ahh,... Have a great weekend from a guy that lives in the....... 'KEYSTONE' State!😏
I'm glad you fueled up that with that alien fuel from that spaceship fuel metering device. LaDerryelle will probably be very pissed and demand do-over with non alien racing fuel. 😅
Really looking at these kymrons. I don’t really want to add the backhoe to the Kioti NS5310, but want something “equivalent” to the backhoe. Thinking a 22 size. How are both machines holding up?
Hey Kyle, good video. IMO a machine that small makes me cringe lol. I guess it has its use but I would never buy anything less than a 2-1/2 ton machine. I have a lot of different chain sharpeners and that one you used is my favorite, especially for touching up the chain after a tank or two of fuel.
ethanol fuel is the only way to go in small engines period !!! i also like to use the true fuel end of season ... ethanol fuel kills the needle and seats in carbs...and as you stated non ethanol runs cooler and i also use that style fuel can from racing jet skis , i have the clear looking one .. people always remark on what it is and why i use that instead of red😂 I DONT CARE im the only one using them. any way nice video as always your a mans man for working in the heat like that and still doing a video for our entertainment 😊
might want check the relief pressure of the auxiliary, could be why the thumb is not clamping as you think it should. also there is a cussion valve you can add that will help smooth it out some. well if you are selling my comments are not worth what you paid for them.🤣😜
You should have driven the excavator closer to the wood splitter before cutting the logs. You have added an extra step of having to pick up the cut rounds and carry them to the splitter.
Really the flag is fine on the sleeve. The Boy Scouts wear the flag the same way and it is because the “leading” flag is a military thing and the scouts can not be referred to in that manner. So theirs are the traditional way on the right sleeve.
@@SpicerDesignsLLC Not a "military" thing, but dictated by the Flag Code. The union always faces forward in the direction of travel. Look at the right side of any commercial airliner, same thing. If the Boy Scouts are wearing it with the union aft, they're wearing it wrong. Bonus "military" misconception: 24-hour time. It's pretty much the global standard; the 12-hour clock is US civil and not much else.
@@SpicerDesignsLLC from what it looks like on the video, at the base of the thumb where it meets the stick there is a hole that lines up with another hole on the stick. Looks like you can solid pin it there. It would be pinned at full extension if that works. Just what I saw while watching but I could also be wrong.
