Next video..i got 3 tickets for holding my camera and having 2 radar detectors and my friend got arrested for using a radar gun and impersonating an officer..
The first time he did it, he did it wrong. He used both of the radars in the same car and ran them both at the same time which is not how you do a radar test.

In the last 10 years I've had 2 tickets both from state troopers and both perty much said they pulled me over cause I was in front of them. These tickets were both for 6mph over in the fast lane of I-5. I admire and respect those officers who uphold the law and help those in need. The cops that gave me BS tickets can both go to hell and couldn't care less about them.
@@Damien-Lugnut no whistler has a 100$ one and i have it. it gives you the option to turn tdsr off. which tdsr is basically the ones that cause false alarms around the saftey features on other cars. doesn’t false alarm very often but still works with cops. saved me many many tickets
For all those concerned it's illegal in your state. Simply unplug it when you get pulled over. There isn't any laws restricting you from possessing one, only operation of one.
You are not a lawyer, so stop giving legal advice. IANAL as well, but I know in banned states they use radar detector-detectors, so they will know if you were operating it.
@@rulocastaguzman6310 Exactly, I always wondered why police didn't use automatic doors that set-off radar detectors as a desguise but the answer might be that the radar used by the automatic doors screws up the radar gun or at the least would give a good ticket lawyer a valid argument in court.
If y'all want to see more calculated and in depth radar tests check out the Vortex Radar channel. He does a great job at showing off all the radars and their capabilities. Uniden R3 is the best one by far and is $200 cheaper than the Escort 360.
kool test thanks! However a more realistic test would be a $250-$300 vs a $650. to large of a price difference. someone considering a cheap detector wouldn't even look at a $650 and visa versa. I would like to see a do over bro.

Good test Parker. Here in the netherlands you have to hide the detector because if they see it dangling on the windshield they confiscate it plus you get a big ticket. They even have radar detector detectors for a while now and they take the head unit and a big ticket.

Does the difference in mounting position effect the comparison, Or It doesn't matter where you mount it? You mounted one on the driver side and the other one near the middle passenger side how is that an accurate comparison?
It needs to be in the middle of your windshield and at a certain height on the windshield. Also we have to hope the guy in the Raptor was actually having his radar gun up and directing it towards you.....we don't know because you didn't have a split screen showing him at the same time as you were approaching him. If you were given the expensive one for free to do a demo to knockout the cheaper one then we could see why you weren't being totally transparent with this review.
Great review but Lidar is becoming the the gold standard for most police. I got a ticket for doing 30+ the device was a Lidar and he got me in the last 900 ft at night. $500 ticket and no traffic school.
yea but as you drive around in your neighborhood with the 360 it learned your roads. i bet you when you first moved to the new neighborhood the 360 went off a bunch of times until it stored the false alarms.
The Max360 is useless against LiDar which I got a ticket with here in California by CHP. From my understanding LiDar is a variant of laser and pop radar.

I hate it when uneducated people review products, i run a Valentine one one with custom sweeps. First of all chp does not use radar guns. They use lidar guns, they do use radar while driving. I turn x and k off in California. When i do use k band outside of California i use the filtering options and it never goes off. That max 360 is not necessary in California since u dont need filtering just turn k and x off. Buy a v1 or uniden program it to scan 34.7 plus or minus 200mhz and your fine. Mine never falses.

Dude I bought a cheapo off Ebay for $20 and ithas saved me thousands of dollars in tickets lol the one thing you did not mention in this vid is that even a cheapo is better than nothing! Also manh times driving really late night/early mornings thee only vehicles that tend to be out are bar crowds and police so the police tend to follow any vehicle they see and wait for a crime to take place or law to be broken well my det goes off with quite some distance between us and I just change my route to avoid the hassle and being followed....

So do they only go off when they are using it? Because if that’s the case, what if it’s lonely on the road and as soon as a cop sees you they turn it on and it’s too late too slow down?
Radar detectors won't help u if the cop decides to point the laser at your car. Once the cop points and shots the laser at your car, than its too late. The detector only works when their laser is turned on. The only thing I can think of radar detector working if it goes off and if ur not the lucky of being caught u can slow down. But than again, usually the cops is only going to get the 1 car they caught.
There’s a good one called cobra rad 350 which is the one I use yes it does false alert but It is consistent with real alerts it detected a speed sign about half a mile to a full mile away
See, i drive an old Chevy. But i do have a habit of driving fast in the left lane, just cruising at 90+ in the left lane. Havent been pulled over yet, but i dont want to lmao.
what about laser detection? Also, these detectors can't detect if a cop is pacing you from behind so you still have to keep your eyes open especially for the bikes. Also, using a radar detector mounted on the windshield so it obstructs your field of vision could result in a ticket. Also, you can fight the ticket and get the case dismissed. So your cost savings should include getting most of your tickets dismissed if you fight them.
I’m guessing the Whistler CR series is a much better option as it detects radar AND laser seeing as how most departments use laser now to try to bypass people with radar detectors? These radar/laser detectors must be fairly new right? I remember a few years back I only seen radar detectors.. but now most pick up both
it would make more sense to test detectors while you are actually speeding. at high speed you have less time to respond, also your response time should be slower cuz you are focusing on driving hard.
Maybe perform true testing. How about both radars on windshield at same time? The environment changes from when you tested whistler compared to passport.
Both radar detectors on the windshield at the same time would lead to inaccurate results. The detectors will interfere with one another even at 5 feet apart.
I have the whistler and do not have the false alarms and I have not got a ticket since owning it. May be a product by product thing man not saying it’s as nice as the other you have but just saying the whistler is not as bad as you make it out to be because I don’t have issues like tbat

How can you still use the German export licence plates? The insurance that comes with those is invalid since 12/2017 and afaik you cannot use those plates in the U.S.
