In my humble opinion - it's a big deal because it's all about leadership and accountability. It sets the tone for the lockerroom and teammates that your veteran QB is there. Is it okay for a rookie to go to Egypt? In a world of what have you done for me lately, Aaron hasn't produced yet, so I'd be a little annoyed if Aaron wasn't there after the amount of money they paid him and have gotten nothing in return yet.

Its real simple folks..... It doesn't matter if he's been attending voluntary events. Missing mandatory events at your job can't be justified by attending all the voluntary ones. Your boss won't care about the voluntary events because they're optional. Mandatory events are not optional, and you can't skip them regardless of how many voluntary events you attend.

The only reason this has become as big a deal as it is would be because of the way Saleh, Rodgers and the Jets handled this. First off didn’t Rodgers say himself Jets need all distractions out of the building essentially to focus on football? Seems pretty two sided when that same guy is skipping OTAs without even letting any of his teammates know. Then Saleh went up and made everything 10x worse. I was a casual NFL watcher from 2000 to about 2020 when Covid hit...then I got into the NFL games with my neighbor, who is a SF fanatic. What is shocking to me, is how for years and years I thought Rodgers and Brady were neck and neck with winning, Superbowls, stats, etc... In fact, I thought Rodgers was kind of like Montana out there; just so incredible...doing his belt swagger stuff. And come to find out; Rodgers has a grand total one Superbowl, and a Single--as in ONE--visit to the big game. That is absolutely astonishing....and Brady has 7 and TEN....WTF!!

Rodgers has been to several NFC championship games but has not been able to INSPIRE his teammates to win any of them. Brady has managed to do that on half a dozen occasions and perhaps coach belliache on the rest.

I think the jets may be in a Breyer spot since Rodgers missed… Tyrod Taylor got important reps, and he’ll be seeing the field a couple times this year.

Is mandatory mini camp irrelevant yes is missing two days of training irrelevant yes but the bigger problem is he didn’t play last year. The dude has played four snaps. You need to be at everything, the schedule for a while. You can easily reschedule or just don’t schedule it when you have mandatory camp come on. Next, why was every other quarterback there at Mandatory camp and you weren’t?

To the argument about rescheduling, we don't know who he was traveling with and their ability to alter their schedules. Also, I'm pretty sure he cleared it with the team first. Lol.

He did the same in Green Bay with us, but I really think he should’ve just went to take care of business and then take the trip afterwards or even before. He needs to put in work and build chemistry with the players. On top of that he got injured fast last year I would personally put in work with the guys
