Depends on your rank, if you're celestial because celestial gets levels and world dollars like whatever vs people that aren't celestial. That's why some people are like level 1000 or higher on certain characters
A.B.A is simultaneously the best and worst character I’ve ever played, so I think they succeeded in what they wanted her to do! Still gonna use Anji for parries tho
As a defense oriented player I don't see her normal mode as a problem. If they rush down they're giving me an advantage. She wants you to get closer. She's also great with dealing with zoners using sway or astonishment to gain meter. Her jump dust is the only vertical jump dust and is really underutilized especially for starting a quick combo. I really like her mechanics.
I don't know why but I have legit been playing A.B.A non stop since she came out. I've playing Millia since the game came out and I for the life of me cannot stop playing A.B.A
As A Zato main who was close to dropping this game ngl💯…ever since I picked up ABA, I’ve been feeling less stress. I too cannot stop using her. Even in her normal form, matches feel easier 4 me than when I used Zato😅💯
She’s like, the most mid character literally in being the weakest in normal form and then a crazy burst in rage form People online can’t grasp how she works or figure out her meter management but she’s a very high skill character that can be insane when used correctly
Aba will literally never hit you all match then land one rage combo and take out 80% of your hp. She's Potemkin for people who only occasionally huff glue
The problem with her is shes basically never out of jealous rage. If you get hit a single time she's going to do bonding and dissolving and then melt you. Theres no trade-off because she barely has to deal with her normal mode
Not at all. You have to use all of her abilities. You can gain meter from fireballs using astonishment, and you can get closer and dodge damage by using swaying. That hop she does also advances her forwards by a lot. Air dash is also a great way to close distance of course. Close the distance enough to where they feel cornered and then you can go to work with 5H to start. She has amazing potential when fully utilized.
Depends. Her dash is low profile, not full invulnerability. Any character with really active or low hitting normals are hitting her. She's definitely not the worst character. That was just clickbait

Really the best thing I can say for her normal it's terrible unless you manipulate her moves her down circle (ps controls), and both Quarter circle x moves are good for movement and get on top of them do not give them space your standing circle, and your right Quarter circle x, her Quarter circle triangle and forward triangle are really good for combos then us her changing and swaying to go into julousy then still same game plan do not give your opponent space there is like 3 ways to do it depending on how you want to do it. One your Quarter circle Square for when you're away from your opponent, and your cinematic or half circle Circle (I think it was that) when you're on top cinematic when you're full changing and swaying when you're halfway. These are some of the tricks I've learned from using her, and they work really well, so in my opinion, she's really good but that's pretty most of the roster is Depending on who you are or how you play will depend on what you think is the best. I play brutal and brute force, so aba is my opinion good. So that's what I'll say about Aba, plus she's my favorite character next to faust and bedman.

I've seen people in the EU discord post clips of normal aba zooming over 3/4-screen zoning right into keygrab This is gonna be a Goldlewis situation where people are dooming about how bad she is, then in the next patch they give her frame 1 armor on danzai or whatever other minor buff to meet the complaints, and suddenly she is public enemy number one and people will pretend like arcsys are actual children balancing a game thinking that shipping such a broken OP character was ever gonna be okay.
The best way I describe ABA is basically the same way I'd describe season 3.5 Frieza in DBFZ, the character is so reliant on their other state which that state is really really strong, but you still have to play the base state, which said state is kinda trash
I mostly play Giovanna and Testament currently and those two feel very different when matching up against A.B.A. Giovanna has low range so when engaging the A.B.A. you often end up in keygrab range. She can also outrange you in normal mode with her 5H and has good anti-air that also works well against Sol Poente. But playing Testament, you can mostly just outrage A.B.A. and only get in for combos and meaties. I did play against higher skilled players in the park as Giovanna though, which probably colored my impression of the matchup.
I just wanna add to the example about HC being bad at launch was true for 2 top tiers IN THIS GAME. At launch, Nago was routinely put in bottom tier cause people thought the risk of blood rage is too high for the reward. Then Hotashi went on a rampage at tourneys and people rralized how good he is.
From my time as a faust player, I can normally snag parry attempts with 6hs and the items make it nea impossible to dodge, and also the goat that is 2hs as faust
It’s always the first impression that happens to be the opposite. People thought Johnny and Elphelt were really strong when they dropped. I am willing to bet this will be the opposite.
Being simple on the surface can be a death sentence. Elphelt felt super strong day 1 because that's all she has. It's all surface level and depth is where real strength comes from because depth provides tech
The main issues really aren't her speed or normals. Its the fact the she cannot tick throw without rage. there is no threat of anything when she is up close out of rage.
I feel like A.B.A mad underrated: Normal mode is really bad, but jealous rage more than makes up for it and getting into it isn't too hard especially if the player has a good punish game
i think bridget and faust are the worst matchups for aba, which is kinda good for me cuz im a faust main, but also bad because i trying to learn aba :(
Im personally of the mind that she's strong but her volatility and current mu spread makes her a bad tournament character rn Im not against letting her have certain buffs but i also think she shouldn't get most of them for free
I kinda figured you're going to pull the "get fucked nerd this is click bait" however it's nice to hear your thoughts on the character this early on Also as an asuka enthusiast I can say that he has been changed slightly, his projectiles got a bigger hurtbox and dp started to hard knockdown
not being treated the same as nago on freeze frame return to normal mode sucks too. She gets nothing but buffer into block, meanwhile nago gets a pause screen into buffered invincible super...sure thing homie
From me playing her a bit every day from relese. She isnt bad, she is hard tho and defo not somthing a good amount of people will like or have fun with. But she is not bad at all. Imo at least.
I say she good I mean you can she isnt any top tier since you can bully her in normal mode. But when she gets start she can easily steal the match. Just takes some patience and good meter management
Aba is simultaneously likely the best and likely the worst character in game. I think once routing and rage management gets figured out she'll be pretty mid, you just want to be spending most of the round in rage and that's a pain to do right now. Now when she gets massively buffed like Sin next season, who knows. They make that parry frame 1 active and it's over boys. Either way Feral White Woman Gaming has been fun
I refuse to watch your video and dispel the myth that A.B.A. is mid tier best psycho goth lady on the roster that Daisuke should leave exactly as she is because she's perfectly viable.
Calling her a stance character is so inaccurate nowadays so I prefer to call her a mode character. Stances nowadays usually are movement restricted and end after 1 input.
Full dedicated stance character? Definitely not. Feast and Famine? 100%. I wish she'd didn't go from braindead and bad thn to braindead and broken but that's what you get with strive plus this kinda archetype
