This Is Truly Our TDS. despite accelerator not being the best tower anymore, it is still a better option for those who don't wanna spend hours grinding for the engineer cuz it's not really that big of a difference (other than it's usability in early-game and perhaps mid-game) but most of the time you'd probably be using these towers in late game so yeah it's just like what u guys say, each are good in their own ways
Ok so, engineer have a way cheaper price to max and deals way more dps then accel but barely affected by the dps buffs making dj vey useful, however accel although is also only partially buffed due to overheat, it benefits way more from buffs from engi, so to make it better you basically need every dps buff possible, do note that the higher the buff the lesst effect the buffs are

For the price of an healthy kidney. The engin buff was needed😭 people were getting scammed before the buff, as they expected for the engi to have more DPS than the newton third law tower💀
It can actually be diffrent for multiple gamemodes imo engi is better for stuff like fallen and badlands bu accel is better for hardcore and poluted wastelands since the bosses spam thier moves and your sentrys are often gonna be destroyed and yea ik engi can deal with lead baloons but u got ramger for that overall they share the first place imo Edit: dont mind the typos im bored
as a TDS nerd it depends on what waves they are good at, like accel being better than engineer at early-mid game and engineer being slight better at early but better at late game. If you wanna kill single tanky enemies its better to use Accelerator because it is cheaper with high damage, and crowds is better to be tackled by the Engineer because of the war machine sentries. Now if your saying which one is better alone, its def the Demoman bc it is super cheap and counters almost everything through early-late game.
I don't thing you is tds nerd, engineer is cheaper than accel at all levels and has higher dps, level 5 engineer and level 4 accel have same price but engineer have 20+ more dps that accel, so engineer is also better that accel to kill tanky enemy, and engi also have 70 dps splash at max level and very good to kill swarm, max level engi is cheaper that accel but have 170 dps more that accel with splash, better targeting and stun immunity. All engineer level value is better that every accel level value and that's not even close
@@Dimas-gt9pc no it depends on damage plus firerate and depend on the enemy speed and hp, 2 level 3 accel can do better than level 5 engi and engi can leak more than the 2 accels bc one accel focus first while the other focus on the tanky enemy. But demoman is better bc its very cheap and counters crowds and tanky enemies
@@kokosanssmo31 "two level 3 accelerator does better than a level 5 engineer" this is so wrong lmao a level 5 engineer have the same price yet does more dps than that of 2 lvl 3 accels. Your targetting logic doesn't work because you're splitting the DPS in half, which makes no sense because it does basically nothing. For 21k and in early game you'd be better off with engis than accel due to his annoying chargeup and a low 600 damage cap (1200 for two accels). "Engineer takes time to build her sentries so it delays her DPS" which have low significance. The issue with engi is not her building time but her warmachines, only disappearing and reappearing one by one for 3 seconds with charge up. 4 WMS can go a long way, each lasting a minute and having different lifespan, the DPS loss is insignificant comparing to accel's chargeup. Also, engineer have better value since 6 unbuffed maxxed engineer does better than 8 unbuffed accelerators. Even with buffs accelerator only does better for 110 dps (comms + MB), which is miniscule. You can just bring them both, so it solves everything.

Its not entirely correct because even if the dps is much more than the other tower, it depends on how fast and tanky the enemy is and how fast and many damage the tower can do. level 5 Engineer has only 35 damage even with its Sentry it has only 50 damage in total which the fallen has 180 health which could make a struggle against fallens, because there is 4 of them and having a high health with fast speed would be a big problem if you are using Engineer. if you are using 2 level 3 Accelerators there would be 40 damage which is 10 more than level 4 and it costs 100 less than level 4 Accel, which can counter fallens very easily due to Accelerator's fast firerate and decent damage. This can also work on the Giant boss very well using the Accelerator as Engineer needs 140 scrap in total to place down a minigun sentry which barely does any damage, and the two level 3 Accelerators which has 40 damage would do way better because of its fast firerate and decent amount of damage. Not about DPS, it is about the damage and firerate and depending on the enemy's speed and health. The second one I agree because you are comparing the max level Engineer which would rapidly spawn a war machine sentry at late game and the Accelerator which would delay lots of DPS due to its overcharge and at that point Engineer would have more dps BUT I am talking about 2 level 3 Accels vs 1 level 5 Engi, which has a similar price only for 2 level 3 accel is 100 dollars cheaper (there is no difference). 2 level 3 Accels would do a better performance than the level 5 Engineer which I have already explained in the first paragraph. The Accelerator and Engineer does insanely horrible alone because of how expensive it is and how it does not counter that much things (especially in early game) like the Engineer can't counter the hiddens that well in wave 13 and 15 and the Accelerator being so expensive. One embarrassing thing about these two hardcore towers that shreds bosses, breakers can easily counter them. There is a reason why mortar and demoman mostly exists (same for MB's insane AoE) if you are saying Engineer would do good alone bc it has level 6 no problemo with war machine sentry's crowd control right? good luck getting it without farm bro because that 54k is not going to catch up with breaker4s 💀
I have them both and like them both 🤷♂️ And I think the engi’s buff is legitimate since it costs almost the double of the accel so it was making it kinda unworth the farm
Harsh reality for me, I always thought the accelerator was the best, in the 3 years I've been playing tds, the accelerator was always the top g, throughout heaven and earth, I thought it was the strongest. (great video bro keep it up as always)
I'm an Engineer User but Accelerator is not far behind its still a good HC Tower, hell it can even back Engineer up if she needs more support and DPS ❤
@@boxerthatisntcool That really isn't possible for a boss to do that since Engineer would get unstunned before another stomp happens (Unless a boss like Fallen King does his sword spin attack and stomps but that's rare)
Acell is better for continuous damage and engineer has higher dps but its dps can drop easily in modes where multiple of engineers turrets can get destroyed so both are good
accel is best tower, but only if you use all of the boosts like damage flag and firerate flag + commander + mercenary base, pretty sure he can get up to like 720-1000 dps
Actually, Accel is not completely affected by the buff cuz his charge and charge up, accel with mercenary base+commander+all flag have 502,09 dps Meanwhile engineer with mercenary+commander+all flag have 610,71 dps
Overall engineer is better more dps, sentries are stun immune, flying detection, versatility throughout the game (early to late) But accelerator is good at other things hidden detection, doesn't need to rebuilt sentries (needs a small recharge time tho), maximum placement limit of 8, compared to engi's 6
* mercenary base laughing in The corner * (in pw2 sm1 placed maxed accel on like wave 18 and i placed maxed mercenary base on wave 20 and when final boss died my mercenary had like 260k total and accel 170k)
since brawler update i haven't used accelerator, and since engineer's buff I've been mostly using engineer for dps in non solo, and i can confirm it's better than accelerator (I'm level 320+)
I love both towers engi(recently got it had a lotta fun) and accel(got it for over (3 years) and I think.. Engineer is better, yeah I agree, but I have a question how the hell is plasma energy weaker than bullets and bombs(I am not an accel fanboy or some shit like that im js saying)

The answer to the video without watching it: Engineer is cheaper and has 500DPS (under max commander) while accel is a little more expensive and has 427 (under max commander) so yes the engineer is better in every way (unless u stack mercenary base commander Damage flag and firerate flag, then accel surpasses engi by a little but who is gonna do that)
Explosions. Also accelerator doesn't have a death beam. It's most likely a laser beam in which we actually have nowadays. The Devs never confirmed that the accelerator to be more advanced than today's tech anywhere
Accel is better let me explain(btw pls pin this comment so everyone knows): Because of new mercenary base accels max dps with support has increased to 448.2071712143 while engineers is just a bit high of a dps of 472.1024924012 However if u see 8 accel dps and comare with 6 engineer dps 6 engi:2832dps 8 accel:3585dps So accel is better
