This makes sense to me, but every time RU-vidrs give hair growth tips they always say minimize heat. 🤷🏽♀️ When I used to try air drying, my hair would feel like sticks. 😂
I do not believe one has to dry their hair When there were no hair dryers no blow-driers. Our ancestors/indigenous peoples had the most healthiest hair. We wore 100% authentic fibers cotton hemp silk raw silk mineral fill fabrics. So this info is modern studies. Pushed toward our people. I have clients who only air dry their hair. N their hair/scalp is very healthy.
I’m natural…but my hair loves heat. Heat to pre poo, heat to deep condition and heat to dry especially…rollersets or blow outs it’s a requirement. My hair likes to be stretched. Right now I’m on a little protective style journey (anything with minimal styling for 1-4 weeks) and i can literally apply heat to my roots (hooded drier or blow drier while hair in a bun) daily after a workout with no damage…what will damage my hair is keeping it wet for longer than a few hours. When i do mini twists for 2-3 weeks I’ll blow dry my roots daily to refresh the style, or if i need to fluff by using a little water or leave in I’ll immediately blow dry on low heat with a heat protectant and my 3c/4a curls are intact and retaining length.
I also air dry my hair. I may sit under a steamer to deep condition with my Ayurvedic ingredients on my scalp n hair However i style n air dry. If you prefer to dry your hair that’s cool
I tried air drying a few years ago, and it never worked for me. My hair also felt really dry and tangled when I was done air drying. I got the Revair last year and haven’t looked back since. I can definitely see a difference in my hair’s health and it makes the process so much faster. Blow drying was my least favorite part of wash day until I got the Revair
I use standing fan to Dry my hair 😂😂😂😂😂not that I don’t have blow dry, anytime I use my blow dryer my hair feel like stick And when I air dry it sometimes feel very soft and sometimes feel like stick
Ladies please go watch Afrikan God's rebuttal to that lady who said air drying is damaging... I PERSONALLY don't believe that air drying is damaging and he has a different prospective that makes so much sense.
Afro hair natural or relaxed does need to be air dried smoothed or stretched to prevent aging & damaging your lengths. The scalp does need to be properly dried to prevent breeding ground for bacteria etc. She is abrasive with her approach 😂 but i understood where she is coming from 20yrs natural currently 10yrs relaxed Once i got that no more having to chop my strands. Everything requires balance so I limit it to one a month whether Blow dry or flat iron
Most Ethiopian women have hair down their backs or longer!! African women hardly EVERRRRR buy electronic items to dry their hair artificially. Yes, the temps are usually 90 degrees or higher so the hair is not hot for hours and hours anyway.
