I always loved your videos, this was very spot on. My current Evo 9 is my first ever own car, the car has brought me so much joy, always a brings a smile to my face when someone tells me “Hey dude nice Evo!”. I don’t ever see myself selling mine either , I love this car too much to let it go and don’t want to live with that regret like most Evo owners do when they sell theirs

This was very insightful, I’ve had my evo 8 that I imported for about a month now and I already love it although at 20 (going on 21) I already know the insurance, servicing and fueling is going to be devastating but I don’t care because I get to own an evo that I want to take care of and keep long term!
I bought my Evo 8 from Japan last summer after saving for over a year. It has a whole lot of Kansai Service bits which is awesome. Still in winter storage but soon I can bring it out!

Beautiful car. I'm on my second STI now. Also owned an Evo X and it was probably the best drivers car I've ever had. Your car is timeless and I can tell you take care of it.
I bought my Evo VIII MR new in 2004. I ran my mobile window tinting biz out of it, so it has a lot of well kept freeway miles 278,000. It's been garaged every night since new. It looks absolutely new. Had the engine rebuilt and then tuned by WORKS. Does it get looks? OMG YES! Everywhere I go, it attracts lots of attention from those who love it to those who want to buy it. I had $40k offered from a guy in a new S class who wanted it for his son. I'll never sell it. Drives perfect to since I've had all maintenance done on time. And no rust as it is a California car that now resides in Arizona. It's an exciting, addictive car to drive every day

Congrats bro. It’s been amazing seeing this car over the past 11 years. You Know me I have car/truck issues but even if I had my first. 1993 Mazda B2200 truck it wouldn’t even be close to how nice and well taken care of as the evo. I will in the very near future be back a x country trip to come visit! Congrats again it’s an amazing car!!

Agreed with everything you said love the videos man I’m exactly the same and feel the same about this car. Was born in the US but came from nothing but at 17 saved for about 2 years and put a down payment on and brought it home at 19 with 19k miles as a first car. Love it so much and am dumping tons of cash to build it properly mines currently at 28k miles. These cars are just wayyyyyy to badass
I bought a 2003 Evo when it was new and I had 4 cars insured with AAA. I had the first Evo insured with AAA. I had another daily driver so it was a pleasure vehicle until I sold my daily driver. It went from $350 a month for insurance for all 4 cars to $530 a month just for the Evo when my Evo became my daily driver.
Every person has a price. My evo x is worth 32k at 56k miles, got it at 34k with 11k on it back in 2014. I wouldn't sell it at 32k but damn sure if someone offer anything over 40k, it will spark my interest
Thank you! It’s a Sony ZV1. I don’t really recommend it for my style of shooting. It’s designed for self style vlogging. The stability is terrible on it. That’s why I got the gimbal for it.
I feel like I'll never be able to own a Lancer Evo man. Grew up playing with it on all the NFS games and it's my dream car. I'm 17 looking to try and study a degree and I'm worried more about buying my first house, covering an expense of babying a dream JDM car sounds so unrealistic to me. Do you think I'll be able to own one someday in my 20s/30s with the inflation happening to the JDM market? Let alone gas mileage and insurance. Your channel though with how clean that Evo looks is inspiring me to try get it someday
That really depends on you. Why are you focused on buying a house at such a young age? There’s nothing wrong with that but there’s also nothing wrong with enjoying your youth. These cars are becoming more scarce but they’re not unattainable. Even at a young age. Save your money and buy one in a few years.

It took me a 1 year and a half to get all the money up to purchase my 2017 Jetta SE. CJX2 I know where your coming from. My dream is to someday own a MK7.5 or MK8 Golf R manual
@@CJ2X yeah ran too much for some years. But for the last 2 yrs running around 10k, more leisure driving now.. Regular servicing is the key, doing it every 5k mileage
@@SlimLu1 The motor is still unopened from 2003. Im at 235k now still hitting 28 psi on a daily basis with no issues whatsoever. Maintenance/Good tune is key.
My dad had a 2003 evo 8 gsr and i got it as my first car i felt bad for the clutch tbh but when i kept driving i got really good i've taken care of it until i broke a belt and that turned into multiple problems but in all i love the car don't get me wrong i felt bad for breaking it but I enjoy the car so much.
if the vehicle engine perfomance is not modify then why change suspension. i would believe those who change suspension would also change engine performance, increasing the vehicle speed n acceleration way above what stock suspension where made for, hence suspension upgrade.. tyre rack test is irrelevant.
Idk about other cars, but I hopped in a buddies Evo 8 and I was in total love, the seats, the shifter (short shifter), and even tha gauges. My type of car. I was even pressing down on all the panels and even the dash and didn't hear a peep. I like to think that these cars were made back when even a sliver of fuck was given for cars. Nowadays it's not the same. Now you pay how much for an a90 Supra and the interior creaks on the door panels after taking the car of the showroom floor. Tf is that? Edit: yea I want this as a first car. Also are these easy to drive? With Stock clutch that is.
I want an evo 8 so bad and I fell in love with the car so quickly, sadly I’m in high school and it’s almost impossible to make around 30k in a year for a student like me :(
@@IdKhOwToPlAy80 I know what it’s like. Sounds corny, but if you put your efforts towards it, you can accomplish it and more. I come from a poor country. If you would’ve told me as a kid the things I would obtain as an adult, I’d laugh at you. Anything is possible. Prices will increase but they will still be obtainable.
@@IdKhOwToPlAy80 buying a clean evo x isn't going to be super hard. 8/9 might be a bit harder, still possible. Sti is also a good car too, feels very similar. Just save money out of school, you can easily find the funds if you grind hard enough.
I had my mother co sign a loan for me back in 2006. I was 19, fresh out of high school. Fast forward 7 years and an emotional breakup. …I wanted to delete her from my life. Everything went; the dogs, apartment, furniture and yes my beautiful Evo IX. Easily the hugest regret of my life. I wish I still had that rumbling beauty.
I drive my evo X everyday. Its never for sale. The fanboys who probably have only driven evos in video games might want to hate the X because its the cool thing to do. But they'll most likely never own any generation so meh. Only cars i've considered adding to the fleet are the m3, cts-v, 911, or lotus emira because 3 pedals is life. Maybe an Aston as well. The kids can have their flappy paddle or electric vehicles. I need a car that will scold me if I drive it incorrectly. Nice to see another florida evo that will probably never be for sale.

The Evo 1-9 we’re only manual with the exception of the Evo 7 GTA (overseas) and I think some of the Evo wagons (also overseas). The US 2005/6 Evo 8/9 had an MR 6 speed option.
@10:07 dude is sugar coating that lol he fact the car is expensive to maintain and own. Unless you are in a decent financial situation it’s going to stress your wallet. I have owned mine from 2010. Definitely not a every day (city with stupid mindless people that will ding n scratch it accidentally while you parked it on the street) type of car for sure.!
