Wow. I have wondered why I played so much better with my Stiga allround classic after trimming the head down by around 3mm, the balance allows me to play faster and keep the ball on the table, even during aggressive shots, this with a non tensor rubber, once my confidence goes up, I hit harder, spin better and recover way faster and smoother, I also noticed that Technically faster blades did not give me faster shots as the balance was not working for me. Good to hear all this, now I can think about the angle control you have mentioned. 😂

Thanks for your comment. Yes, balance is more important when doing fast strokes. Also because we are often in a hurry (doing fast strokes) and less control what we are doing.

@@victorpopovich Ok, so rather than cutting down I will now try adding some grams to the handle to see if I get a similar control, will the bat head feel lighter and therefore allow me to swing and recover faster too ?

So that I can be sure of my answer - are you a shakehander or a penholder?

@@victorpopovich Hi. I am a shakehander, often stepping too far from the table too soon, so I have a strange set of requirements, from my blade. Close to the table I move fast to attack so prefer a lighter blade, but as I tend to serve and step back too early I also tend to loop hard so as not to lose too much pace from the distance. I also use a stiga allround classic, if I go to an offensive blade I tend to over hit, putting in more power than I can control and consistency drops, but when I drop from the table works well as the range is manageable with the power. A habit I am trying to work out.

Hi, Insert 5 - 7 grams of weight into the paper and secure it to the end of the handle with a rubber ring. And pay attention when performing tops at high speed - have you become better at consistency than before? If so, try 10 grams. Please let me know the result of your test.

I don't understand ehy we have to change balance between training and competition play. Is it a risk of injury to muscle and hand ? I play in european shakehand grip.

Thanks for your comment. I said: do not do this before the competition until you check it in training games. When 3-10 grams of weight are added to the end of the handle with shakehand grip, the ball flies from us along a lower trajectory and flies off the table less often, which means it hits the table more often. And since the muscles quickly get used to these additional 3-10 grams, it is necessary to play without this additional weight in training, and then add this weight before the games. Even if your racket is very light, 3-10 grams at the end of the handle has absolutely no risk to muscle and hand.
