At the time of posting I'm not sponsored or affiliated with BarkBox in any way. Its probably my longest running subscription other than Amazon Prime and Netflix, and I wanted to share how much the dogs enjoy their boxes.
For anyone recently considering a BarkBox subscription, I had a BarkBox subscription for almost a year and frankly I ended up canceling. Honestly? For the quality of the toys, treats, and chews coupled with the price Barkbox gets the bare minimum of giving customers quality products for a fairly affordable price… but it ends there in my experiences. For the first few months it was excellent. Easy updates on the progress of my box, helpful and friendly customer service reps when I had any questions or issues with my box, etc. After about 4 months though, I started receiving some boxes up to nearly a month late, duplicate boxes, wrong size toys or incomplete boxes, and the customer service reps started acting really rude and dismissive. Eventually I got tired of always having so many issues and being given the runaround, so I cancelled. It really sucks that they seem to no longer care about their customer base and are more interested in roping in new customers with their “first box” deals. Edit: apparently there’s a subreddit for Barkbox and it seems like nearly every post, someone is making a complaint about something going wrong with their box/account. Thought this was interesting so I figured I’d add it.
@@LilMaezeeofficial I think it’s under the subscription settings iirc. I highly recommend buying toys from their shop barkshop though. They actually seem to deliver in a (relatively) timely fashion, you’re able to sort by toy type, and they have a sale section.
Thanks for the video. Nice thorough review. We have had the Super Chewer version by Barkbox for about two years or so. It's worked out pretty well for Charlie so far. I use the treats all the time for cutting his nails and training. The majority of the toys last well without problems, but they are really receptive to sending a replacement toy if the toy does not last. My most recent subscription I signed up with their code to get an extra toy in each box for $37 a month. Comes out to about $7-8 a toy plus the treats that I think is worthwhile compared to Pet Stores or Amazon. The coupons/promotions really are the only way I would sign up for a subscription. Their regular price is probably too expensive for just 2 toys, 2 treat sticks, and 2 treat bags. Thanks again for the video. Andrew
We just got our first box, came with a free bed that is really good quality bed with memory foam mattress. He immediately loved the bed and absolutely loves the toys. Thanks for the video, very helpful.🙂
I would recommend Chewys Goody Boxes for dogs or cats. They aren’t a subscription so you can buy one whenever you want to or are able to. They vary in price and I recently got a $70 box for $25.
This is neat, unfortunately not any room in our budget for this and as it is our puppers needs lots of stuff to chew for longer. She loves loves loves chewing on stuff especially tennis balls and the bones we get her. We don't get rawhide, we unfortunately get the plastic bones at this time. I want to get her a good solid, real animal bone that won't splinter but as she is my brother-in-law's emotional support animal i really have no say.
Great dog toys for sure, real bones aren't as tough maybe cuz they are real. Bark box toys are great, but l always recommend you purchase a size bigger than your pets recommendations. Some dog's could tear up a cinder block! LOL
They do not make grain free treats.! I just do not care for their cheap toys Thus far we got 4 ball like toys, and no stuffed animal squeakers, and no pul toys. To cancel... After 4 months they want to charge me $171 rip off!!!
Barkbox is a scam, I don’t know how everyone hasn’t realized by now… they are playing on your emotions for your dogs, that’s it. If you truly cared about your dogs, just take them out once a month to find them new toys or treats. You can find better quality toys and treats for about the same price. Subscription based businesses are a giant scam to get you on that month to month billing cycle 🤡
I just saw a ad where they claim that the very end that "it's basically free" so no, I won't be buying from a company that uses stupid marketing like that told from a idiot sitting on a couch
They forced me into a second six-month subscription without my permission. I can't even find a single e-mail from them during the transition period from my first six months to the second six months. NEVER AGAIN will I trust a subscription service like this. What a rip off.
What is the quality of the toys? I would be concerned about having so much plastic with them chewing on it or worse. I think a bone would be better. Although I haven't had a dog as a pet in a long time, so maybe the dog lovers can give a more informed opinion.
Generally, I think they are okay for dogs. The toys will be a mix of canvas/cloth and rubber/nylon. I have not really seen an issue with safety except for one that had cloth shred off easily. My dog does not swallow or eat that, but could be an issue for other dogs.
@@remyllebeau77 I just canceled…although phenomenal customer service….I found out toys are made in China and I won’t support that. I informed company. I found American made toys of the same caliber. Treats are made in America company states.
