It's depressing that our local media continues to call Hauser 'just a shooter', when his most important contributions, all season long, into the playoffs, were on defense. At some point, you have an obligation to update your first take on a guy to match what they are actually doing. This analysis could have come from any random talking head at ESPN.
Did you watch the whole video? These guys fully recognize Hauser’s defensive contributions and that he wouldn’t have had any finals minutes if he couldn’t hold his own. Sherrod literally says Hauser was top 3 in guarding Luka on the team
I would hope that they’re all still resting til next week. Can’t work on your game if you haven’t properly recovered from the long season they had. After that I agree he should work on his strength and maybe add some 10-15’ jumpers
One would hope he also works on remembering those moments in which he made plenty of 3 pointers. It was a good few seasons ago so he may have forgotten...
Theis double-screening for JT was amazing back then but that was a different time, and a different team, and they're both now different players. Still may be the best option for a vet's minimum
@@FutureDreamZzHe may not be the DPOY he was in Europe, but Theis is actually a good defender, especially in the pick & roll. Good chemistry with the Jays and Al. Bringing him back is an easy call if he’s willing to take the minimum.
