This is silly, is your skill that matters, not the software you use. You can use industry standard software and have a bad portfolio, you won't get hired. Companies that hire you on the basis of what softwares you know instead of your skill are just restricting themselves out of talented people.

I just finished with a client before watching this video, it's actually can make money. for example I have a clients who want - an interior design - model (game assets, project for school or university, ... etc) - animation these things what I use blender for to make some money and it's good.

I hope ill get a job one day in the future as a blender artist but at the same time i think it's important to at least just enjoy using it as a software. And if blender gets big with the industry one day... lucky us!

I think if you know how to use script in Blender, then, yeah, you have a chance to make some money.... What's the point to design something in Blender if you can NOT use game engine or do NOT know how to usw script... i think at some point the critical mass will make being in the industry not as important. as everything gets democratized in terms of access its going to just become important to find your community and ecosystem and be a part of it. money comes when you develop a skill and share it with the world eventually. keep your day job until your really prepared and ready tho. although im not sure day jobs will be as much of a thing in the future. our whole system is changing financially right at this moment. ubi or some sort of society beyond money is inevitable or we go extinct. we all go into the future or none of us will as buck minster fuller said. i work at a corp doing art, not exactly my kind of art, for money. im lucky i think but as things progress i see us humans should all get a stipend or earth resource dividend to cover the basics plus some more. anything over that could be earned. as the current fiat system collapses now i hope we remake our civilization to get rid of this bs about jobs and money. its often said that without having to make money no one would collect the trash. well what the fuck will that mean when robots are doing it......so its time for radical change and thinking. we've all gotten used to slave thinking. we all need to think bigger together. theirs more of us than the slave masters!
