Boruto didn't learn Sage Mode. His Rasengan did.

Uzuhiko seems to disconnect the internal equilibrium of your senses from the planets rotation, essentially causing Permenent Vertigo (dizziness). The way code falls is exactly how someone who's just been spun around rapidly would react. I also interpreted that the wind swirling around Boruto act's like a barrier to itself, so when Code tries to attack, he's being swirled around Boruto, not Boruto dodging.

In terms of Boruto's no nonsense behavior, I have a couple theories: They guy has been hanging around Sasuke and/or Kashin Koji, two very straightforward people who are known to exhibit this kind of behavior, and the people we surround ourselves with tend to rub off on us. Another thing is remember Boruto's and Momoshiki's consciousnesses have been merging. Boruto might be in control but I wouldn't be surprised if through this personality merge, Boruto has been also getting some of Momoshiki's memories, especially those related to the 10 tails.

I think that this direction for Boruto is really good and will no doubt bring some attention from people who didn’t like Boruto at first. The only problem I have right now is Code. Kishimoto better have some plan for him, he ain’t looking too hot rn

I’m guessing Sasuke didn’t simply spend the timeskip teaching Boruto fancy new moves. He taught Boruto how to think critically, and to plan 10 steps ahead of an opponent. Also idc what anyone says, Sasuke is NOT dead… Yet!

Right now, I think Code is being used as the example on how “being a Shinobi” beats raw power. Boruto came at him and easily swept him with a move that wasn’t a pure nuke, basically making Code stumble into himself. Code will now look to adapt.

Code isn't out of power-ups just yet, it wouldn't surprise me if, in a desperate attempt at fulfilling Isshiki's will, he absorbs the rest of the Ten-Tails and becomes its Jinchuriki. Having a Karma wielder who is ALSO a Ten-Tails Jinchuriki becomes a problem fast.

I love how rasengan uzuhiko has basically the same effect as Tusk act 4, without the ground sinking thing.

Pacing has been kinda ass for these initial chapters for a monthly series. Each chapter has been minor tussle and then Main characters sharing minor insults and bluffs(code) to each other. They stayed in the same spot in konoha for 3 chapters just being bitchy it felt weird waiting months for small development. character developments do look cool hope to get more of the original boruto personality once he smooths things out with kawaki or kills em

Yep, since Samurai 8 failed Kishimoto is gonna use Boruto as a predecessor and give all the Boruto characters the most op abilities imaginable. Its the 3rd chapter and were already talking about using the planets rotation in a Rasengan 💀.

His jutsu reminds me of how Sasuke made Kirin instead of a thunderstorm being used to cast the jutsu the whole planet being used.

I think the number one thing holding the series back is the paneling and drawing still. Like the speed lines everywhere and the choreography of the fights are still just so bad compared to naruto. The other thing is the power scaling just continuously escalating at war arc naruto pace like it’s already so absurd that Boruto gets introduced with an infinite damaging technique in base like the karma/momoshiki power ups are just going to be so dumb powerful that all tactics in fights that made Naruto a beloved series are never going to be seen again.

Maybe Boruto jutsu is like Kirin. A powerful jutsu using chakra to control the power of wind. Since wind can influence how high or low the pressure is. Taking it in that way, pressure is something that can cause a person to lose his balance, make him feel dizzy, or even have heart attacks.

I appreciate the fair assessment. I feel like Code is there to lead the series into the future where the Claw Grimes become the villians. Code is blinded by his own misguided love for Isshiki, much like Kawaki is blinded by his love of Naruto. He cant see what hes doing but Boruto “the star of Hope” can see through it. Code leads to something bigger but hes not a threat much like Dr Gero in DBZ. The threats after him will be real threats. But welcome to the fandom man! I gave you subscribe. I think Code is meant to be less of a villian and more like one of the 4 major players in the story (being Boruto, Kawaki, Eida/Daemon, and Code) At some point he may even become an ally to Boruto somehow (if he doesn’t die)

10:36 I wouldn't be so sure KK's out of the story just yet. Don't forget, he did survive his fight with Isshiki and escaped. And what do we see Boruto using in ch. 3? Little toads, exactly like the ones KK used. Now, how could Boruto get them? Simple. KK's been training and helping Boruto for the last two years after Sasuke, presumably, got either killed or, which is more likely, turned into a tree by one of Code's claw grimes. I don't remember KK's little toads speaking before, and since we don't hear the voice, it could very well be him talking to Boruto at the end of ch. 3 while seeing where Code is through the eyes of the other toad. We've seen him watching stuff through his toads before. Perhaps he can speak through them as well. I also think that what Boruto is casting in the last panel is the Flying Raijin. The hand sign he's waving is the Seal of Confrontation, which is required for many things, including the TFR. KK's known to have blazing speed, and he knows a lot of the Leaf-specific ninjutsu. It's not unreasonable to assume he knows TFR too. Not Minato's version, perhaps, but certainly Tobirama's. That's how he's able to move so fast. His little toads are all over the place constantly, he just teleports to them. He could've taught Boruto the jutsu, and given him access to his teleportation network. That's how Boruto got into Konoha so quickly in ch. 1. KK's could've had the toads in Konoha watching the situation for Boruto, and when Code attacked, one sneakily snatched onto him while he was talking to Sarada, and Boruto teleported to it. Now he's preparing to do the exact same thing to teleport to Code's new location.

On a side note. Having kawaki get clapped by either Boruto, the claw grimes, code, or the 10 tails itself would be ideal, considering that I don’t think Naruto or sasuke coming back at that point would be anywhere near proponent enough to justify being sacrificing to the story. They have to be further then dimensional and I believe momo will introduce that element later on in the story.

Think the major thing people are missing about code is that he’s more portrayed as the protagonist who keeps losing and getting stronger to Borutos villian vibe who’s broken beyond comprehension, His main goal as we saw at the end of part 1 was to ruin what boruto( who he thinks is kawaki) holds dear aka what Naruto holds most dear (since kawaki took everything from him) , THE VILLIAGE Code isn’t an endgame Villian, he’s one who will leave a big bang before going out , he’s most likely the one who will destroy the Villiage and take out a lot of ppl in the process

I think I understand the value of Code at least with the context of the past couple chapters. He's not meant to be a 'big villain' like a Pain or Madara figure, more like a gate way villain. Mean look at his set up, he was a follower at heart, now he's like a dog without his Master (Ishikki) he'll roam about like any unchained dog and can be about as threatning as one, but the real danger lies in his wild card actions that he could be messing with forces he's too inept to handle (The Claw Grimes/10 Tails) and may unwittingly open the door for a bigger threat some how that might promptly get him killed as a result and make things worse for everyone else as well.

Boruto performing some of the feats he has in base without the Karma or Jogan is just proof that he's the strongest yet in the verse. He's beyond Baryon Mode Naruto and Isshiki levels imo, if you factor in the Karma and Jogan's amps to his base, which his base alone is already stronger than Jigen if you consider Code to be stronger than Jigen like he's stated to be.

Code's devotion to Isshiki and Otsutsuki clan in general has always made him look quite pathetic. Like a stereotypical fanboy that idolizes a great power figure, in order to absorb power from this character, become like one, to the fill the weak, scared, helpless lonely void inside and become part of something greater.

I don't think I've ever seen a major antagonist mishandled as badly as Code, he drags everything that happens around him through the mud Also, Boruto's new jutsu is way too broken to do anything of importance ever, very much expecting it to be the next Amaterasu

That's just being tenacious; it's no different than someone using a summoning. I understand people's frustration with Codes' character. Still, I've already seen this exact thing play out with Super, and the monthly manga wait is just causing people to hyper-fixate on even the _slightest_ thing they believe is stagnating the plot. I also would still include Shibai, Amado's planning, and Momo as threats, with the Claw Grimes possibly being added to the fold of menaces if they break free from Codes control. We have a lot of threats circulating in the plot.

I like Code because he seems like an underdog villain. A different take where I'm rooting for the Villain to get stronger to get his one moment of glory. Maybe I'll be disappointed but I think if it's written well regardless if he gets his moment or gets robbed before it and he's never really going to be the final villain I mean he never was most likely that's Kawaki but even if he's only a stepping stone for something before Kawaki I think it could work if written well. Code missed all kf hus attacks because he's dizzy. His pov of Boruto proves that he's experiencing some kind of extreme disorientation and that's affecting his physical body. He also can't stand properly just like a very dizzy person normally wouldn't. This makes Uzuhiko and interesting hax but in terms of AP, it is FAR BELOW planetary.

So the major question is does the new planetary rasengan (spirit bomb or susuke lighning style Kirin of some sort) But can it use to counter daemon jutsu shin-jutsu vs shin-jutsu for its like he just need to touch code or his opponent to activate it for it resembles daemon way of activating his own shin-jutsu

I really hate how people who really dislike Boruto always seem to make it their entire personalities. There are a lot of good reasons to dislike Boruto as a series, but whenever you hear someone talk about it, you could be reasonably misled into believing that they're talking about Mein Kamph or something. All the conversation has done is make me want to be overly generous to Boruto just to spite all those butthurt, hyperbolic losers.

Tbh code would be a great final battle for sasuke, imagine it’s his final test and he has to fiend off code long enough for boruto to run, like code attacks boruto and sasukes base early on with his army, boruto wasn’t ready yet and code was hell bent on killing him, so sasuke being sasuke tells boruto to find kashin koji “sasuke knew him and had connections most likely” while sasuke uses his EMS to destroy a healthy portion of the ten tail army, but code takes the fight into his own hands fighting sasuke who doesn’t give in without a fight, but Boruto witnesses sasukes defeat, in that moment he flys back in with his otsutsuski powers, slashes a heavily fatigued codes eye out and takes sasuke away from the battle field where sasuke sadly dies and gets to speak his last words to boruto, and then koji would appear and sasuke would be buried and his stuff taken by boruto, it makes sense to me but you could probably make a better theory lol but yea koji toad+boruto wearing uchiha drip=sasuke ain’t doing something right currently

The writer will have to introduce something new to the story to power up code. Having code continue to lose only makes sense if it builds him up become a real threat. Similar to how sasuke grew in strength with his hate.

I thought he was using the planets chakra in order to assist with creating the rotation inside the persons body. Think of it like lightning a candle with another candle you didn’t add any significant energy or power to that unlit candle all the potential energy is still in the unlit candle it just needed the spark. In this case the earths chakra serves as the spark to trigger that internal rotation

Good explanation on why brouto is like that and his focus on the ten tails as a threat and finding it's location. Because I was baffled on why ten tails mattered when code and brouto is so far above it in power.

It’s interesting because Code isn’t a ninja so his power ups are limited to Tech or becoming Otsuki. But just by power level alone, any upgrade would make him OP. I mean if he is stronger than Jigen, jumping Ishiki in power would probably be his next step.
