Is Bowser ACTUALLY the best in Mario Baseball? 

SPOILERS Well guys… we almost had it. It’s bittersweet because I honestly think that overall this is the best I have ever played mario baseball, yet Jason was still better than that. Hats off to you, Jason, you earned it brother! But between Matty taking game 1 over me in our best of 3, Dennis rallying a win in our series when he was down 2-0, and then of course going down 3-1 in the world series, I feel I faced a lot of adversity throughout my run. I feel proud about how I stayed composed and trusted in my game. There is still so much more to improve on too though, that’s the fun part. Ima dump some appreciation now. Fair warning: the further you go the sappier it gets. To the MSSB community… I feel like a broken record whenever I say this but to this day I have never seen a game’s community be so gosh dang cool. Never have I seen a game’s community be so willing to help, so welcoming, and so safe for all players. I am so lucky to have stumbled into this. To the fans… The support you all show this channel is absolutely unbelievable. Between the comments, members, merch owners, and lurking viewers. You all allow me to live the dreams of my younger self. I avoided responding to comments throughout this series to dodge even the possibility of spoiling anything, but I read every single comment. I couldn’t wait to read what everyone had to say after each game of the series. It's hard to put into writing the happiness I felt seeing the words of so many people who are not only passionate about this channel, but also passionate about us Dinger City guys. The Jason fans celebrating in this comment section, the Colin fans who never gave up on me, the Dinger city fans who count character records or tell us what time of the day they are watching the game, the fans who don’t always leave comments but decided to just to say how much a particular video impacted them; that’s the biggest takeaway for me, and it fills me joy. Thank you everyone. WHY DID I PITCH TO KB WITH 2 OPEN BASES INSTEAD OF A NOKI WITH NO STARS???? Who knows, that misplay is haunting and I’d prefer not to talk about it lol. It made for a great short though that's for sure. To the fine Dinger City gentlemen…I love that I get to spend as much time as I do with all of you. Papa Den it all started with you buddy, quarter finals of the first dinger city meetup on stream was my first on camera game, and you got this whole ball rolling for me. To everyone else, the laughs we all share in that basement are special, and it always lightens my day. Jason Jason Jason… If it couldn’t be me, I am so glad it’s you buddy, you deserved it more than anyone else. Papa may have been my first rival, but I have always seen you as my true rival in Dinger City (dennis you’ll always be my papa tho dw). Whenever we play I know I am in for a wild ride, and the competitive comradery you bring is something I cherish. I thank you most of all today, because you gave me the most fun that this silly little mario baseball game has ever brought me since I started playing the game as a toddler. I can’t wait to run it back in the season 11 world series! Sorry for the essay, but as founder of Colin’s uncomfy question I hold the firm belief that sharing your true thoughts for others to see is, duh, uncomfortable, but also leads to some of the best interactions you can get with other people around you, so I hope I did not bore anyone :) The wave of this world series may have come crashing down upon me and sent me spiraling, but the funny thing about the beach is that if a wave swallows you up and takes you for a ride, it will always deposit you back on the sand. It allows you to get up, dust yourself off, and do it all again baby! For now, you will see me soaking in the rays before classic 6 and the rest of the mariolympics. So so so much more to come. Players who win when it goes down to the wire are those that can use crap bats well. Jason just went 3-3 with DIXIE in a game 7. Absolutely unheard of. Reminiscent of Prime Andrew’s dominance with BJ and Red Toad. Also, goes without saying: the pitching, fielding and baserunning in this game were absolutely nasty from Jason. Really made the difference closing down those margins. Can’t think of anybody on the DC crew that can truly encapsulate the meaning of a COMPLETE player like Jason does. Can’t wait for Classic 6!

Obviously, win rate does not correlate directly with viability, but it's still fun to look at. :)

The draft was really cool. You could see Jason switching it up a bit going for broke. I thought hed have a chance if he was able to get one of his typical Jason inning, where he cycles through his line up just hitting singles, and yeah the 7th was super clutch. I was popping off.

Hail to the jester, baby the mad lad actually did it, and he did it on *his* terms- pitching, defense, singles bats, always taking the extra base and never taking Bowser (while he and Colin gave us the most content possible, naturally)

I started watching around the beginning of this season, locked in becoming a City Hall fan before I realized my mistake, and just rooted for good ball in the playoffs, and you all delivered tremendously. An amazing game of course! congrats to Jason on the win he truly proved what he set out say, BOWSER SUCKS! But really, I think not worrying about having to get bowser helps Jasons play style so so much. in all his big wins you can see star hitter after slap hitter. he is able to just round the bases with all of them without even needing to hit home runs. AND in this game he was still able to draft 2 homer run hitters. I think there is so much value into how Jason drafts, but boy did he play well. Ive been rooting for the big kahuna from the start and it was so cool to see him get all the way, he played SO WELL! Colin is such a consistent player, getting almost exactly what he wants done with this lineup and this game is actually a great example of that. he was able to round his lineup back to a toadsworth leadup so many times this game, and bowser ALMOST got done what he needed to. . . . but bowser sucks p.s so excited for the next classic its my favorite format bar none!

Spoilers: You've got to feel for Collin, man. You could argue that he played a better series than Jason, but when it came to performing when it counted the most, Jason simply stepped up. Great stuff.

For the part with the birdo star for the star chance, I'm not sure I see the argument against it. Just the off chance that it's not a free single? Seems like it's more about depriving it from the opponent than it is about winning it, because it's a lateral move to egg for it.
