A few years back I caught a crazy video on RU-vid of a 13 year old kid tearing it up on bass. I didn’t even know who he was at the time, but I was completely blown away. I later found out that his name was Michael Pipoquinha and that he was from Brazil.
Most people might only know Brazil for samba or The Girl from Ipanema, but that's only a fraction of the story. Brazilian music is a whole world of its own with some unbelievable bass players that everyone needs to know about!
