Is Brisbane worth visiting? In this Brisbane Australia vlog, I'll be talking about how you shouldn't skip Brisbane. I avoided coming to this city in the past because to me the city was just not as interesting as other Australian cities. However, I'm so glad I made the choice to visit Brisbane this time. This video explains why I think that as I take you around the city.

Love driving over the bridge at night. The city buildings right on the water and their lights reflecting off the river is quite striking.

Nice video. My mum lives at Roma St Parklands and loves her walks around there every day. It always looks immaculate. The staff are constantly refreshing the plants as well. Much of it is built on an ex-rail yard.

I'm glad you checked out Brisbane. It's notoriously underrated and unfortunately many people regurgitate a lot of the nonsense that may have been true in the 80s and even 90s, but it's a much more vibrant city these days. Don't be one of the sheep! By the way, Tuesday is a relatively quiet day in the City these days, as many people remotely work from home.

@@mohanad0550 Conservative governments - and some would say backwards thinking - limited Brisbane's ability to progress with new ideas and ways of living that promoted a vibrant culture. Brisbane is a VERY different place to what it was back then. Unlike the other states and territories in Australia, until recently, most of the people in the state of Qld didn't live in the capital -- Brisbane. Rural politics and issues, which are usually more reserved and conservative, often dominate Brisbane and hold it back. Brisbane is a much more vibrant place now, and is an amazing place to live.

That color of the shirt 😻 And omg! That sign at “3:30” it says “who cares about you?” “We do!”. Such a happy yet morbid thing to have. At the end, brisbane seems very metropolitan with the skylines, bridges, metal jungles, the prks and nature placed in the city.

The sign advertises free counselling services for anyone considering suicide. Unfortunately there have been many suicides from the Storey Bridge. That's why there is a large net next to the walkway.

missed at Southbank: sets of swings, picnic areas, little streams for kids to play in. toilets/showers, eating places. ......AT 8:31, that church has magic woodwork inside. Neaby is the town hall where you can walk/climb up to the clock tower........Also see Saint Johns church in Ann St (between the city and the valley) is a must see for me. I live here in Brisbane and it's a great place to live. Not for traveling through, but for work/life balance.

Love your video. One thing, when you crossed the Story Bridge you were actually in Kangaroo Point, not South Bank. You did get to South Bank but it's further around from the Story Bridge.

5:43 the building you're pointing at is our new state Government building- it's shaped like a piece of cut sugarcane , which is a big part of Queensland's history.

Brisbane is awesome. I live there. I also lived in Melbourne for 3 years. Worst place ever! Atrocious weather and people and nothing to do. Sydney has assets in terms of harbour and weather. Brisbane my favourite though.

Ouch! I grew up here and was happy to leave in the 1990s. Back now it's a great place to live.

Brisbane doesn’t have a tropical climate, it’s not in the tropics. In fact it’s nowhere near the tropics. It has a subtropical climate. That makes a huge difference. It can get close to freezing during winter mornings and the western parts can go below freezing. I think it helps to do some basic background research before popping yourself in front of a camera.
