@@jj18057 Sure it is. 5th QB picked. Nix > Drake May, and probably better than Penix Jr. (If he had the same weapons). Not to mention the Jets take an OT when 40 year old Rodgers is coming off a torn Achilles and Tyrod Taylor is his back-up while Nix was still on the board?
Long time Broncos fans! 🎉 We Finally have something to get excited about. A roster full of hungry young talent. Whatever "it" is. You can tell that Bo Nix has it. Sean Peyton did good 👍
@@vivahernando1 Did Brady? Elway? Pat Maholmes? In college...You know who won big games in college? Bryce Young, Vince Young, Mac Jones & Tim Tebow...it never translates!
Smart young man. To me that’s most important. I think he’ll beat Elway numbers . I love Elway. . Nix I think is smart like Brady, manning, Elway, Jake Plummer. Kyle Orton. These guys are all great. I think Nix will change , Elway numbers. Very great job on ownership, and coaches. Great pick. Hopefully it works. 🎉
Why did anyone think that Russell Wilson was an Elite Quarterback? Why do teams keep pursuing him. His 1st SB Ring was thanks to the Legion Of Boom defense and Marshawn Lynch. His 2nd SB Ring, he gave away to Malcolm Butler.🏈💍
Russ’s one big strength is he can throw an absolutely beautiful deep ball but his inability to throw over the middle of the field and insane number of sacks he takes does not work in the nfl today
Because Pittsburgh had Kenny Pickett and Russell Wilson was $1 mil… it was worth the risk because it was basically free. It’s a 1 yr trial he might not even play and it didn’t make a difference between Russ or Pickett playing. Hence why both QB’s (Russ & Fields) are on a 1 yr deal. It’s a bridge year and basically hope a real QB is available in 2025. I’d take this over signing and committing 4 years to Kirk Cousins for $180 mil at age 36 with 1 playoff win.
Age caught up to Wilson. His style has never been sustainable with past QBs. Pure pocket passers play into their late 30’s like Brady or other QBs before him who never relied on scrambling like Wilson.
He was elite back in the day , come on now. He’s one of my least favorite people in the world trust me but he was a literal magician in the pocket. Do u know how many close games they won because he could extend plays and move the chains on pivotal 3rd downs?
As an Auburn fan, I saw it, too. He just happened to play under the worst coach in Auburn history in Brian Harsin. But Im glad he ended up at Oregon. He got to unleash his full potential.
They're talking potentially. He's always had the potential it's just a matter of finding the right situation & coaching staff to bring him along & it looks like a good fit up this point.
@@saw12367 I agree! I have been saying this all along if they can just give the kid a little time to gel and get used to the speed of the real NFL defenses and not preseason he might do well. But let’s keep him upright and establish a powerful running game that will help immensely.
Im a Denver a Fan and very excited about Bo , but i think some need to slow down about his overall game. I feel like we will know what Denver has after week 4 or 5.
If we see signs of progression and learning, he's gonna be good. But the success of the team will rest on the ability to run the ball and the defenses ability to stop the run.
I see Denver winning 6 to 8 games this year. Bo still needs to grow into a true NFL qb. A lot of young, hungry guys on the squad want to make a name for themselves.
Bo nix doesn’t have the best arm talent out of the drafted QB’s however he is a lot like Peyton manning or drew Bree’s. He is extremely intelligent on the field and will dissect defenses and dink and dunk them to death.
I said it 4 months ago and I'll repeat it again. If Denver can establish a consistent running game, find that all down back, It will help Bo a ton then Denver is going to make some noise in the AFC West.
@@antoniowomack9859 now here is where I definitely want to see some movement! We have too many people back there that can run the ball to only be getting two or 3 yards per carry.
@@Joel_Aleman It's funny you think nearly a decade straight is "a few years" and giving up 6 touchdowns a game for 5 straight playoff games is "bad luck."
Going into Seattle the 1st week is going to be tough for a 1st game rookie. Nix is gonna be spinning going into that game. And that crowd noise is gonna make it hard on him.
Pete didn't draft, and I think John made a great name of himself from 2011 2012 drafts then saved his job with 2022 2023 draft. So 10 mid to bad drafts in-between really hurt my boy Pete
You silly Broncos fans are going to actually try to mentally project Russ Wilson delusions onto another team? We remember when that trade happened with Seattle as Im sure you do to, lol. Pepperidge Farm remembers, Broncos fans try not to.
@@adam88819 Yeah, getting an inch above the depths of hell is a relief, lol. I remember one time being happy that Mike Singletary was the Niners head coach, lol.
I mean 0-2 is a terrible record then you realize wait aren't the Superbowl winners 0-2. We aren't talking about the chiefs struggling in the preseason.
10:20 that's the point!! When you hire an offensive guy the defense crumbles. Sean Payton amd Mike Tomlin have a similar winning percentage yet we are talking about them differently. They are kinda the same guy.
8:00 when they actually sort of talking about Bo nix. Why would you title this video what you titled it then spend over half of it not talking about that? First time listening, probably won't be back if you make a habit about taking 50% of your video to get to the subject of the video. 😢
The 1st part was relevant and laid a foundation to talking about the broncos drafting Nix. As a Broncos fan, I enjoyed the context and background to knock Russell and Steelers for taking him a bit. Just jump ahead a bit.
Broncos defense wasn't egregiously bad after they got rid of Gregory and Clark. They started egregiously bad. They held the Chiefs to 28 pts in 2 games and had tons of turnovers down the stretch.
Drafting a QB is always risky and based on a body of work for 1-2 seasons. Bo had 61 games, but his game was not “flashy”. He’s seasoned, efficient and effective. Scouts missed this find!
Go back and watch Russ Wilson's games earlier in his career. He was great when he had a top level defense AND and top run game. But he had quickness to escape the rush and make it happen. Wilson's decline is his age. He lost some of his quickness and this was fatal. He became much less effective. End of story.
Pittsburgh and coach let the best and cheap qb walk. I don't say Rudolph is Brady or Mahomes, but he was playoff caliber. Tomlin is losing it and always disliked Rudolph.
Listening to you name the broncos receiving room is hilarious. The Starters are Sutton, Josh Reynolds, and a mix of Tim Patrick and Marvin Mims. Franklin has been awful all camp
Russell Wilson was an absolute elite QB in Seattle. There's no question about that and this is coming from a lifelong Denver fan.. he should have retired from Seattle..
Colin is extremely wealthy and dismisses the struggles of ordinary people because of hyper-inflation. Inflation does not affect wealthy individuals but is devastating to the middle and lower classes.
Honestly everyone is excited to ruin bo nix on a trash team i dont get it his rep and confidence is in the hands of a bottom 3 personnel team i feel like im the only one who seea this
Nix has been better than expected, the best rookie so far but it's only 2 preseason games. Let them all play a season 1st. Caleb has a lot more talent around him that will help him out this season
