We’re continuing our Balkan food tour and have made it to Bulgaria. We can’t wait to try all the incredible street food in Bulgaria and eat all of the most popular food in Bulgaria. We’re starting our Balkan food tour of Sofia with some traditional and local Bulgarian foods.
We started our Sofia food tour tasting the local banitsa, a must try food in Bulgaria. We continue on to a super traditional restaurant for some local favourite foods like shopska and kavarma. Next up was a local cafeteria style eatery to try some homemade dishes of moussaka and tarator, finishing off with a unique tripe soup and of course, rakija! When in the Balkans, you’ve gotta have rakia.
The tastes and flavours of all the incredibly delicious food here in Bulgaria is really making us look forward to exploring this cuisine even more.
