I have literally gone to at least three shops and spend hundreds of dollars, and I haven't got my jk to drive as well as it did before the lift. I guess I'm paying the price of a new jeep owner. Thank you very much for the video. It's helping me understand bump steer.

This video just answered my question. Thank you. Drag link flip kit, track bar relocation bracket and a new tie rod.

Assuming the track bar and the drag link are perfectly parallel, how important is the length of the two? The track bar being shorter seems it would have a tighter radius through the up/down travel even when parallel with the drag link.

2015 jku 3.5" Rock krawler lift on 37". You finally defined what I'm experiencing on turns, between 30 to 60 MPH the jeep does a quick fast jerky movement on turns only and quickly catches itself. Also the steering wanders where I need to adjust the steering wheel constantly left and right. Currently the jeep is in the shop not sure what mechanic will advise. What do you suggest I need to tell him. Thank you

Great video!!! Would having a 2 inch front levelling kit affect it enough to make the jeep bump steer?

I have a '15 wrangler JKU Rubicon. I dont get death wobble and my alignment is good as is my track bar and draglink being parallel. When I drive i have to pull to the left with 2.5 - 5 lbs pressure to the left. My toe is slightly off and needs to be redone. When I drive, the jeep darts left or right without ever moving or feeling it in the steering wheel. I cannot drive in confined lanes like driving through construction with barriers out of fear its going to steer me into a head-on or into the barrier... grazed a barrier couple weeks ago and havent been back down the road. All my CV and ball joints with my tie rod ends have been replaced. Still does the same thing. My tie rod is loose even with new ends and upgrading my front with Yeti Steersmarts. Tire tread is not bad and had to add air so they werent gripping so much, which helped a little. I feel play in my steering wheel and may tighten the gear box, but waiting until I've upgraded the tie rod, track bar, and draglink and a new alignment. What other causes could there be or am I on the right path. Just dont want to spend money where I dont need to....

Has the Jeep been lifted? I would be suspect of the caster angle first causing a darty(loose) driving condition at highway speeds. I personally would not tighten or adjust the steering gear box. If the Jeep is lifted I would adjust the caster either through adjustable front lower control arms, longer lower control arms, Geometry Correction Brackets, or caster adjustment cam bolts. This will make the Jeep want to drive straighter and not feel so "loose" at road speed. Additionally I would make sure that I have the tie rod toed out 1-1.5 degrees, preloading the joints in the steering system. This is all providing that joints are all tight and within tolerance. Thanks

I'm trying to figure out the death wobble and bump steer on my WJ. Previous owner couldn't figure it out and sold it, I've made it better but still there.

I get the shimmy from 38 - 43 mph. Never below or above. It's annoying as heck but definitely not death wobble. How the heck can I get rid of this?

My 2017 jku with a fox 2.0 performance 2 inch budget lift drives great accept when I hit rough patches in the road. The steering gets janky and the Jeep shakes for a bit. once I’m over the rough patch it’s smooth sailing. Am I experiencing bump steer?

Michael Doubtful. What it sounds like you are experiencing is the start of death wobble. Check out my first video about caster I believe that will answer your questions. Can always message me.
