not really the case, yes that's important but even among the pros they still run steering dampeners because the r6 has a twitchier and lighter front end than most.

My first bike was a ‘04 R6 black edition, still the most fun bike I’ve owned. I sold it because I’m 6”4 and felt cramped on longer rides. Been on liter bikes ever since.

@@wishesm3 That was my initial choice, but I went for a gixxer K4 at the time, because those where a little bit more bulkier. After that I got a 1400 Intruder hardtail and a FZ1 naked. And just this week I got a 2024 ninja 1000SX. But love to see the R6 content!

Ima stick with the Rebel 500, would love to get a "street bike" yet i know myself, and I'd end up killing myself on it. Especially where i live at seeing dudes constantly going easily 150+ mph, and have sadly seen a few of the aftermaths of crashes. Know yourself and your limits

I have a 2003 r6. Its an amazing bike. Very fast lol handles great. Just put new bearings, brakes, plugs, coils, rad flush, front and rear sprocket, new chain, tires about to order new fairings. New gas tank and pump. Bought the bike for $500. Runs really good..

@cutieee_x a friend of mine wad going thru a break up with his girlfriend and she wanted it out of the house. He also has a Harley, the r6 literally sat for years un touched. They didn't have a truck and trailer, so I offered to come pick it up..currently I'm re doing all the fuses, wires, stator and rectifier. Tbh he's a lazy bastard and a bike that nice should've never sat that long. Hi loss I guess. Harley are gay anyway lol

The r9 wont be an inline 4, no smooth delivery, no high reving, no good sound, performance wise, similar power to a r6, that can be bought used for 3k $, I think answer is obvious

As much as I would love a super sport, naked bikes are way cheaper and only have slightly less horsepower for similar engine sizes. used 2020 high mileage z900 for 4000$...as an r6 that same year would be 10k minimum...

I'm looking to upgrade from 22' Ninja 650 to an 12'-16' or 17'+ R6. Problem is, and you talked about it, people around are looking for like 14-16k for a bike in the 20,000mile range with some scratches. Sucks cause the R6 is my dream bike but these deals just aren't worth it

I just got the r7 and I’m already wanting a r6. I really want the 2020 and newer models but hard to find near me for a good price. Wondering if I should even bother with them and just look at different 600s. Almost a lost cause :/

Dude these things can easily go over 300K before an engine swap, of course bear in mind, you have to conduct proper maintenance on said bike.

The 750 is very unique in my opinion, but the 750 will feel similar at lower speeds but feel much better above 120.

if you’re comfortable on starting on a 600 and have the budget for one then go for it. in my personally opinion for a 600 starter bike i recommend the r7. goes like 150 or so and is ~10k after tax. very forgiving bike and not to large or heavy. if you’re not comfortable starting on a 600 or you’re worried about dropping it or causing damage to it then i would look around marketplace for a used 3-400. you can get one in good condition for as low as 3k. and they’re easy to resell when you want to upgrade. definitely don’t buy a brand new 3-400 it’ll be a huge waste of money in the future.

I just have to call you on one thing my bro...... You are on a gen 4 R6 which was 2017-2022 the gen 3 was 2006-2016 gen 2 was 2003-2005 and gen 1 was 1998-2002. That being said yamaha was the king of the 600cc class above the crb the ninja and the gsxr and stayed there for all of gen 2 and the majority of its gen 3 run. 4th gen could arguably be the worst for the r6.
