@@xxxpeachy_spritexxx6207 for me it was a natural follow up on my diet. I'm opposed to diets that starve you, but I'm ok with one or two days without eating a month. What works for me was slowly removing certain foods, been sugan my main target. At some point, I stop liking the taste of cola, but I still like a lot the sensation of carbonated drinks. note, by slowly removing foods, I mean over a year.
Sparkling water helped me kick my alcohol addiction. Everytime I felt like drinking a beer, I'd chug a Topo Chico and the tingling sensation from the carbonation would give me the same rush I'd get when I'd chug a beer. It wasn't that easy to quit, but I think sparkling water helped me a lot.
Same for me except with soda, I used to like chugging soda with a meal, the sensation just felt good after eating. I get the same effect with sparkling water. Going to invest in a soda stream this summer
I cut all soda + most fruit juice. I feel less fatigue in the day and I lost weight! And now the thought of drinking soda is scary because of all the sugar.
You have a home carbonation system? We have sodastream and yeah, have never looked back either. I still spend about $40 a month on the gas cartridges but I don’t drink alcohol except for the occasional wine or beer so it’s still cheaper than drinking/ Soda.
It’s pretty gross but I’ve come to realize that I’m addicted to the fizz rather than the taste because I can’t stop drinking it now. I guess I just needed a good quality
As a kid and young adult I hated sparkling water. Now at 25 I love it. And it's a lot healthier than sugar soda. I just love how it feels when it's ice cold and going down my throat
Most people think that it is gross at first. It is an acquired taste for sure but once you get into it, it is fantastic. I prefer plain over flavored now and even the lime is optional. So much better than drinking soda regular or diet as I used to for years.
Yeah, I was drinking plain up until a few minutes ago. This is my first time trying flavored and actually enjoying it. It's the Grape Waterloo. I love it!
Yeah I come across those people quite often. If your going to tell me something is bad for me you better no exactly why, don't just repeat stuff you heard on Reddit.
I seriously doubt there could be any bad effects of carbonated water.Even if there was, there are thousands of other real things to worry about in life haha
I had a horrendous Mt dew addiction, and I've replaced that with a soda stream machine to make healthier drinks that are still carbonated. It's a game changer.
You and me both I love love loveeeeeeeeee mountain dew I bleed green lmaooo.. but had to cut it out but when I do go for the dew I get zero sugar one lol.. but now I'm into the sparkling water
This is great video. I’ve been using sparkling water to curb that “soda craving” that I feel ever since I’ve dramatically reduced my soda intake. Sparkling water has been a great alternative for me. At first, I didn’t care much for it. After several days of drinking it, it’s all I want.
In order for your liver or pancreas to hate sugar you have to either: 1:have your metabolism off the scales 2:experience "chakra opening" which is really just you consciously regulating your glands? Im pretty sure?
Shejustdidnotsaythatshit Gorlplease My general practitioner recommended it and from my experience it has shown promising results. I normally had this urge to burp when my reflux was bad, but with each burp I felt a bit better. And you know how drinking mineral water (because of the carbonation) forces your to burp more frequently and deeply? It kept provided me the feel-good pleasures while also mitigating the pains of heart burn. But again, just my experience
@@agamemnon4889 Yes of course thank you. My mom refuses to take the medicine given, so i'll offer her some sparkling water today. Last night her acid reflux was really bad.
Shejustdidnotsaythatshit Gorlplease That sounds like a good idea. I use to take a prescription drug acting as a Proton-pump inhibitor (pantoprazole medication ) for my GERD. It’s safe and I’ve experienced no side effects. Off-the-counter medicine like Gaviscon chewable tablets works well too. Acid reflux was also tied to my anxiety which I did not know, until my reflux went away
Like many people in the comments section, I HATED sparkling water and I couldn’t go a day without having a soda fix, especially Mountain Dew! Ever since I turned 20 I got myself to drink sparkling water to replace soda and I’ve never looked back! I tried drinking Mountain Dew the other day and I nearly gagged , it was way too sweet. I’m glad I made the change!
I can't have Mt.Dew not cause of all the sugar but all the caffeine, pretty much all my drinks bar sweet tea have no caffeine in them. If I have any regular soda with caffeine in it I get pounding headaches now. Tea has very small amounts of caffeine so it's not enough to set off my headaches but a soda like Dr.Pepper, Mt.Dew, Coke..any of those will send me into a serious headache that I can't stand up from the pain.
@@KarolineTheDaughterofLilith my local grocery stores don't sell it..first I've heard of it. I usually drink Clear American sparkling water or store brand sparkling water or seltzer..I like the Clear American brand rather well cause the flavors for them are really good, best Key Lime flavor I've had in a sparkling water..the best one though is Orange Cream Soda..I use that to make ice cream floats without all the extra sugar from root beer..I still like a good root beer or sasparilla every once in a while since I can find ones with no caffeine fairly easy.
This was excellent. You pointed out different variables, and gave research, then pointed out a study needed to be studied upon further. Sounds honest and well researched to me.
It’s not the videos fault if there isn’t any studies proving what has been shown to be potential as far as health effects. The narrator obviously is not biased since he doesn’t drink the beverage.
Well, I'm glad that just because you think it's gross doesn't make it bad for me. I have a hard time keeping hydrated because I don't like plain water and tend not to drink enough especially in the hot summers - but I love fizzy water - so hydration isn't such an issue.
I cannot fathom people that dont like water.... I can understand liking carbonated water but I cant understand not liking water. Like do you even live broooooo?
The greatest discovery I made in my journey to become healthier was that the only part of soda that I really missed was the Fizz. Carbonated water takes a short time to acclimate to the lack of flavor that your typically get from sugary soda. Best decision I’ve made in some time was making the switch from soda to sparkling water
I like this water because it gives me the same throat burn we look for when we drink a soda..thats all we look for. Now i barelly drink soda. I do drink this water alott
I'm glad it's not bad, my three year old niece has a hard time drinking water but she absolutely loves sparkling water. I figured she would like it because she likes pop and thought she might've liked the bubbliness, she even called it pop for a while. :) I'm even looking up recipes for it, there's a lot of good looking ones I can't wait to try out.
Make it at home, yourself and you don't have to be concerned about what's in it! I make mine from filtered tap water, nothing else! Perfectly fine! I'm not buying commercial 'water' when I can make it at home...
I decided to stop drinking soda a few months ago. I have missed the carbonation and gave in to sparkling water. My craving for that bubbly feeling has been satisfied, and I feel so much better than after I drink a bunch of mountain dew.
For those trying to avoid soda, sugar, fructose, aspartame, etc. who want a soda-like drink, I find my homemade ginger ale as satisfying in the summer heat as store-bought ginger ale with all the junk in it. I just add ginger and stevia to sparkling water and serve with ice. Mm.
I decided to stop soda about 7 years ago when I saw a ziplock bag of how much sugar was in a can of soda. I started drinking seltzer and I still love it. The first month I Lost about 10 punds.😊
Thanks... I drink sparkling water when I am out and I enjoy it. LOVE THE WORK YOU DO. I am a wellness coach and refer a lot people to your website because you support what I teach. :-)
The best way to have carbonated water is to put a few slices of lime in, however you have to squeeze the lime into the water, this makes it cloudy and it will taste better than any commercial soda drink. Put some gin in there too and you've got the perfect alcoholic drink.
As someone who dislike soda, carbonated water was also easily shot down by me. It’s not that I dislike the soda itself, I like the taste but I hate the fizz, it makes my stomach bloat and give stomach cramps ever time I drink it. Sometimes I wish there was a drink that tastes like Coca Cola but doesn’t have any carbon in stores near me.. maybe then I’d like soda :p
Why did he had to say its gross its actually good tasting alcohol beers that's gross but sparkling water tastes good may God bless us let's spread positivity 🙏💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
This video forgot the biggest benefit: you will have much better burps than with regular water. They’ll be longer, louder, and with more bass. Your wife and kids will love it.
I love seltzer water I used to hate it and was addicted to soda everyday all day lol been stopped but now I love seltzer water Polar is one of my fav it gives me a nice feeling I love it also helps with my depression and anxiety lol
I drank carbonated water every day for one year (~500 mL/day). Then my gut started acting strange: constipation, anxiety, sensitivity to caffeine. I removed carbonated water from my diet, and then over the course of 2-3 weeks my gut has returned to normal. I'm wondering if the carbonic acid or natural flavors can interfere with your gut bacteria over time? Decided to just stick with water from now on.
I drink club soda all the time, it's an excellent substitute for soft drinks. I always feel better after drinking it and sometimes down a can before sleep for better rest.
I drink sparkling water because I'm supposed to drink water but flat water is boring. Sparkling water is more fun to drink so I drink may daily required amount.
I have a SodaStream machine and mix 2/3 carbonated water with 1/3 mango (or any type) juice into my glass with ice cubes. Cranberry juice is nice and so is grape juice. It sure beats ordinary water or pops.
Cracked me up too... I used to feel the same way but sparkling water (flavored, of course. I.e, Aquafina Sparkling and Bubly) has since grown on me. Tonic is awful. Don't EVER drink it...
I've been drinking a majority of flavored sparkling water now for about...4-5 years vs. caffeine free sodas like Sprite, various Root Beers, Fanta, and stuff like that..all my drinks other than sweet tea are caffeine free while the tea has small...very small amounts versus what I used to drink 8-9 years ago. My health has actually gone up due to cutting out all the gunk and extra sugars that are in regular soda..sure I'll have one on occasion but we're talking about a guy who used to drink 2 cans of Mt.Dew a day for over 15 years. Now I'll have a soda on occasion but it's like..3 caffeine free sodas in a 2 month period..maybe 4 or 5 at most depending on if a party is going on and that's all they have. Every time after that it's either regular water or flavored sparkling water. On top of just being better for me a 1 liter bottle of flavored sparkling water is cheaper on the wallet than a 6 pack of soda..like legit Kroger brand sparkling water at my local Kroger is 59 cents for a 1 liter bottle versus like...3 bucks for a six pack of bottles of the average soda.
I HATE sparkling water. I swear, when It gets in my mouth by accident (because at the restaurant, I may choose a cup with sparkling water by accident) I spit it out immediately, leaving a mess.
I say read the contents. Many carbonated waters have no added sodium at all. Club Soda however is specifically a carbonated water beverage containing highly softened water containing sodium bicarbonate. People on a low sodium diet should steer clear of it. Like I suggest read the contents..
I enjoy the Bai Bubbles carbonated drinks. They contain only 1g sugar, and are sweetened with erythritol and stevia. They are delicious and full of electrolytes and other minerals that are good for you.
