he's not underrated he's just overlooked

Carlos is definitely underrated. While probably not as fast as the very fastest, he's not far off, and is very consistent and able to get the most out of the car more often. Very good driver.

I think the vast majority of those who underrate him are those toxic Ferrari fans who feel the need to belittle him in order to make Leclerc shine. Sure, Leclerc is better in terms of raw speed, but Sainz has shown great consistency and intelligence. And I have no doubt Sainz would have helped Leclerc if he had needed points in order to actually fight for a championship

This also just puts into perspective how good Verstappen was/is. Carlos Sainz is/was such an amazing driver, yet a 17 year old Verstappen "wiped the floor with him" in 2015.

Yes, and Ferrari should be ditching LeClerc. He’s not aggressive enough. A Sainz/Hamilton teaming would have been epic. If he goes to Redbull they’ll rue the day.

You underestimate the difference the car makes, not just team but individual cars on a team.. most the grid can win with the best car on the day.

I think he needs a teams that will see him as championship potential, in mclaren they only really care for lando like Ferrari they only care for charles, he could go to redbull but its maxs team, maybe mercedes without hamilton he has a team he can help build for him since george is also relatively new.
