i honestly think we are going to get a really fun season where all the girls are actually enjoying their time and having fun instead of being overstressed! Can't wait for that season honestly, really fun cast!

After the last All Stars season where Ru had to step in when there was discord and queens threatening to walk out, I'm not surprised they've decided to take this approach.

I really liked the non elimination format, and if it's for a charity, I think many queens will consider coming back for All Stars. It might take out the aggressive aspect of competition between the queens, but I don't live for that. Regular seasons are here for this. Cannot wait to see how this season turns out!

It’s been rumored each of the queens were given 25K as stipend for looks, and 50K as an appearance fee

More screen time for the queens is definitely better. This affects their careers... i do hope there will be interedting twists thooo

Honestly this non-elimination SHOULD be the All Stars format, like they all paid their main competition dues, let them have fun and REALLY show their best form

All of these queens have already proven themselves. All Stars is either extra cash, coming back into view, or just for fun. I definitely prefer non elimination. Why make them struggle to stay, let them show off what they are good at, and continue to improve on what they are bad at.

It's a shame that you are bringing this subject up since it's for charity. Who cares if they receive any money from production, you are missing the point snob. Underestimating what queens are trying to do.

I feel like this is just a season to promote their Vegas show. Because haven’t all of them been in it

I'd rather have this, not only is the incentive to come back bigger but coming back is so expensive it's only fair to give them a budget so they can showcase each of their individual creativities

I think non-elimination seasons should be kept for winners and legends only. I already watched season 14, I don't need to watch Jorgeous in the bottom basically every week

Their looks being paid for by production was my only concern. If they're not dropping serious coin on looks only for the price money (if they even win) to go to charity, then I don't see an issue

When you think about how often local performers and bars do charity events it makes sense to take part in this as it is a part of queer and drag culture in it's own right. Not every season needs to be this but it's a fresh idea that I can get behind as this show becomes more mainstream. Using that platform for good!

I think I prefer eliminations. But with a fair treatment to the queens. Non elimination episodes, crazy twists and all this thinks are a BIG THING in all stars. Idk how they gonna fill that blanc. I hope it'ill be iconic, but I'm not that exited. I prefer bigger casts, at least 10 queens, more episodes. I would do 2-3 episodes with rate-a-queen, then eliminations, and then a road to the crown without eliminations and special episodes with the returning queens. Something like that i think it would be more fun and dramatic.

It has to be better than AS8 when Heidi left the show and didn’t 3 other queen’s allegedly threaten to quit too? Jessica wild? Kandy? Kahana? Ru needs to figure something out lol I think this season is a nudge in the right direction

Honestly, drag race fans grossly misunderstand the state of all stars. We’re at a point in the show where most of the true “all stars” are not risking their established and successful careers to come back to the show. If there is eliminations, they will complain it’s “some stars” because these heavy hitters are only gonna accept a non elimination season at this point. If you want eliminations, great we’ll just have an all stars season where half the cast is first second and third boots. if you want your big names you’re gonna have to sacrifice eliminations.

Giving an allowance for outifts should be the norm.

I love the non elimination with All Stars because it gives us more time with each of the dolls! Also giving to charity is a very noble thing to do and looks good for the brand.

I like the non elimination aspect of it for AllStars 😊 if they're all properly remunerated and the wardrobe is paid for - why not have a fun season where no one is leaving in tears.

I kinda wish there was a way for queens considered legends who don't wanna go through the theatrics of regular drag race to just come for all stars and showcase their drag. Just an all winner's format, shorter season: ball, snatch game, girl groups, comedy, maybe an improv or a rusical and a talent show/one woman show.

Is cute and all but now they have to do this from now on or else people will say they are bad people. I personally liked the eliminations for All Stars. That format has given us the more interesting Drag Race moments in recent years…like “LIFE’S NOT FAIR!”, I MEAN THE ENTIRETY OF ALL STARS 2, Ben DeLaCreme sending herself home when she was totally going to win, Ginger’s “The got me gal”🤔and Detox’s cackling, the super dramatic yet cheesy tapping of the lipsticks with their nails, Silky’s exit after a 6 win streak by shaking her a$$ lmfao. This is just a variety show for charity…what are the stakes? There are none.

There is no world in which 8 queens of 200+ agree to go into debt to compete for a cash prize that they can’t take home. Mark my words, they’re competing for $100k for their charity, but also $200k for themselves.

If they gave them money for drag than it’s basically free outfits and exposure. Sounds great.

Honestly extremely disappointed abt it being non-elimination. This kinda make AS7 less special and if they’re being paid $25000 just to show up then and more money to donate to charity, why not use that money to pay the queens more to do an elimination season. Idg why they can’t just do a regular drag race format but with returning queens, this season is gonna be so boring because of this format.

I love the top 2 format, but the he fandom cannot take the way that game is meant to be played. This is why so many great queens have refused to return because the elimination format brings so much hate and drama to their doorstep.

I love eliminations but for the sake of the queens this is def a better move. I like the idea of donations and paying queens too! This whole approach to me feels more like an all stars setting that respects drag artistry and the people behind it!

I mean if they are getting $75,000 anyway, it's not like they're not getting any money and at least this way they are guaranteed to get at least some money straight up

I love the concept for this one, though I wish maybe they added in more queens who had less screen time for a non-elim season like this, omg I just want Maddy back so bad. I love the picks though still regardless, excited to see Angeria again, wish Camden was back with her bc those two were so cute on screen 😭❤️ Same with Shannel, being on Season 1 with the pitiful budget and All Stars 1 which was just messy, I’m happy to see her back

I really hope every season isnt non-elimination from now on though. Hopefully this season is just a transitional one to reset the all stars franchise

I honestly would prefer the non-elimination format. It takes away a lot of the stress of the competition and allows the queens to have more fun. This in turn may also make more queens consider coming back in the future. The only con I see is the lack of queens returning each season, but AS7 was still a blast, and it also allows each queen's story to he naturally fleshed out throughout the runtime. I don't think non-eliminations should bleed into the regular seasons of Drag Race, but I see non-elimination All Stars to be a big net positive.

At the end of the day, the charities win because the show spreads awareness so people will donate themselves.

I think the queens will be motivated by the prospect of increasing their fame, getting more bookings, getting higher booking fees etc, based on how well they're able to perform on the season. I mean, who doesn't wanna be the next Trixie mattel? The next Chad Michaels? Their net worths are CRAZY, way beyond some All Stars prize money. Drag race, to me, seems like a way that queens can build a portfolio of well-known exceptional performances. People see these videos, see them on TV, whatever, and go "I want that girl in my show" or "I want a ticket to that girl's tour"

I think it's nice that there's a non elimination option. But It feels like the shows not going to ask queens that haven't been able to show how much they've changed since their season. Like I really don't think they'll ask Dida, lashawn, jaidynn if there's something like this where all the big names (mainly finalists) can do it virtually risk free.

I heard they got paid a larger appearance fee to make up for the prize money, I think Heidi mentioned that.

I like the non elimination format as this is exactly what we need for All Stars 9 since it’s about donating to charity after how toxic All Stars 8 became with many queens quitting!

I'm so glad to see them branching out from the elimination format for All Stars - the Queens having to be the ones to choose who went home each week really sapped the fun out of the experience and drag started to take a backseat to the social game which was exhausting

Any opportunity to be on TV, especially emmy award winning RPDR is worth it. They got great stipends, and the exposure is worth it alone.

As good as AS2 and 6 were, the others were kind of a let down. Drama is fun and all, but you do want to see your favourite queen return and do well. Now they won't go into a season with the chance of only being there for one challenge. I think it's better for the queens at least, we'll see how fun production can make it for the viewers.

I would end All Stars as a spin-off. Like if yall are going to complain about competing, don’t agree to the show, or there won’t be one. But also, this is productions fault for trying to have a competitive reality series and scripted drama. Let the rules be rules whether the fans agree with the outcomes or not. Like Jinkx should’ve lost AS7. Makeover challenges should have a CLEAR assignment. Queens should pick their own Lipsync songs if they have to LSFYL. Stop trying to produce a competition and let the competitors just compete.

Since the money goes to charity this makes for a NO DRAMA ALL STARS which I give it the boot and rather skip this season and rather get GLOBAL ALL STARS instead

I expected 9 queens for AS9. It only clicked in that it wasn’t when I rewatched the werkroom entrances and Nina’s “nineconic” line isn’t as impactful as it could be. Just my two cents. 😅

Honestly, this format of all stars should be the main format of the season because; 1. They really waited for this opportunity to come. They even spend LOTS AND LOTS of money just to showcase their runways and talents AGAIN on the main stage. 2. To lessen the queen's stress and pressure. The main season is already that pressuring. All stars now gives double pressure as you compete with queens with high fanbase and stuffs, so eliminating someone to win is already a pressure. So let's just give them a chance to prove themselves without giving them any pressure. 3. This is also a fun season to watch as you get to know the queens more as the season progress. Example here is raja. Some newer fans doesn't even know how talented Raja is, so that no elimination format got them to know Raja more.

I mean, I've always been Team Best Friends Race. I watch Drag Race for the art of it, not really the drama or the competition. I loved AS7 because of this, since there was no pressure of elimination it gave the queens a certain amount of freedom to screw up that they wouldn't have otherwise. I've always thought eliminations on All Stars was kind of unnecessary anyway. Like, I get having eliminations ob the main show, but when I watch All Stars, I actually want to _see_ the returning queens and see what they can do and how they've grown. Like, for AS8 I was really hoping to see a queen like Monica on DR again and she got eliminated immediately, it was so disappointing since I love her so much. I'm really excited to see how AS9 takes the AS7 format with a more standard type of cast for All Stars since there's more room for surprises in the growth of the cast members as opposed to a bunch of winners who have pretty polished performance niches they carved out for themselves.

For me, I have a feeling they’re springing it on them on the show. Like, they came to compete for some coins to pay for all their stuff. Going on the show is an investment and they’re taking that away from them.

I’m excited to not have a chunk of every episode with “I wanna be here so bad” and the “I could choose her lipstick for strategy, or I could choose her and be fair.” It’s time for something new. :) I’m also glad they don’t have to vote their friends out. That process sounds rough.

Look I know I’m in somewhat (?) of a minority, but I think all stars should always be a non-elimination season. Of course I say this after getting a non-elimination like two years ago but SHIT I loved that format. Especially when it comes to queens I know and love. I know all of these girls and I absolutely love them. For godsakes all I want is to spend time with these people. I find that on All Stars all I want to do is spend time with queens I love. So why not have them stick around? I know this may be unpopular but I just want to hang with the same girlies week after week and have them show that they slay or do not slay. I’m sorry I just love when people stay idk!!!

I was honestly done with All Stars after season 2 because I hated the lipstick voting off format too much lol. So I guess non-elimination doesn't sound horrible horrible?

I saw a post that has theorized that the format for all non main seasons is going to be changed up pretty soon. That regular All Stars is going to basically be this from now on, a way for these superstars to show how they've improved in not so competitively (in less of an "I'm better than you" way) whereas Global All Stars and Vs The World Seasons are going to be the seasons for those who really want to actually compete and will have eliminations. Aka, regular All Stars is taking a turn so it's more of a showcase of the improvement while also giving to a good cause. Because really, what's the point of having drama in a season where at the end of it all a bunch of money is gonna go to charity? Theoretically they've gotten their money to appear and for costumes, so they've been paid. It's Chopped for Drag Queens. Whereas VTW and Global All Stars (Won't be surprised if they need to find something different to call it) will be the actual competitive seasons

If we're gonna do no elimination, queens who showed up before shouldn't be coming back for a 3rd, 4th time. There are way too many queens these days. Roxy had her chance and was pushed to the final by her friends. I'm not questioning her talent, just the chances she had time and time again... Come on
