My zhongli pull went from "cope skill issue pull" 2 years ago to now "I got 4 teams who all at the same time have to share him somehow" but I have to admit thats mainly because I like to replace important early Cons like nevuillete/hu tao C1s with other characters like zhongli/xianyun respectively.

Clorinde is designed to be very middle ground, but due to Fischl, she's only good with Quicken. There are a lot of better-synergized with Fischl, being Yae and Keqing, so she's like Cyno, but Cyno benefits from buffers with long buffs' duration like Yelan, Xq, Furina,Baizhu and Beidou, while Clorinde is only limited to Fischl only. Her only upside is her self-healing but against aggressive enemy, you would need defensive utility anyway. On another note, Kirara c6 provides not only to Aggravate driver, but also Fischl, so she's not that far behind Nahida.

As far as I see the main issue of Clorinde is her rotations are too quick for classic hypercarry and too long for quickswap Damage vise she seems okay, strong but not earth shattering
if you play her with thundering fury, and supports with long uptimes (nahida, zhongli, and furina) she’s able to do two rotations before the buffs expire
she fits pretty well with Ayato, he has 6s skill duration 6s CD, and his burst field increases NA damage. Which means you can use them together as quickswap DPS core.
High Ping definitely affects how much BoL she gains. It also slightly affects how many rounds of shooting she can fit in during battle before it runs out.
@@jorgedr5835 Above 180 ping is when the BoL react later. If u have another conection problem that is not ping it also stacks bad (but this is more ocassional tho). Like i play on 170 ping and i can play her nice, but when i get over that i start stacking BoL like a second after the shot Xd.

Since the billion dollar company Hoyoverse cant create servers in certain regions, we are forced to connect to servers with higher pings. High ping usually affects our input delay and in this case, Clorinde's bond of life gain
I think fontaine just increased standards when it comes to dps. Also releasing clorinde right after the monster that is Arlecchino just makes Clorinde feel kinda underwhelming. Not saying that she is bad, just decent with some issues

I feel like Neuvi and Arle are kinda like the new exceptions to the "character dmg doesnt have to follow lore" rule(?). Neuvi, after all, is the first playable sovereign dragon we have in the game (the sovereign dragons are one of the most important characters that affected the entire game's lore, like how we see Celestia and the Archons) and then next is Arle who's the highest ranking harbinger we've encountered (and Nahida did say that the higher ranks of the Fatui have power akin to gods). Imo, it'd make sense if hoyo purposefully made them powerful as shit to show the players the kind of power they're now facing with, both from new allies and enemies. That said, Idk if it will become a trend and that Clorinde just got yoimiya'd in a way by having two of the most powerful DPS characters release right before her. Or maybe Neuvi and Arle just happen to powerful and that's it **shrugs**
Most proximity attackers have an interruption resistance of 0.5 while activating their skills. The only exceptions are Keqing, Klee, Ayaka, Alhaitham, and Arlecchino. Arlecchino has a full interruption resistance placed on C1. The placement of Clorinde's interruption resistance backward is no doubt intentional.
Yeah, at least with most of the other main electros, they feel good without shields. Raiden with her POISE, Yae with her ranged afk camping strats, etc
Clorinde and Keqing really don't feel similar to play at all. You're swapping pretty often with Keqing and there's no set rotation with her because of her flexibility. If anything Raiden is the most direct gameplay comparison. Very similar damage windows, N3C Vs N3E rotations, and neither is able to swap out during those times. I think Raiden offering utility vaults her above for most people, but Clorinde is flashy and fun to play.
I think this ultimately speaks to a need for Hoyo to diversify things like cooldowns and buff durations. If they're going to make a DPS with an awkward downtime, then they just need more characters that work with it. They've been pretty same-y with timings, so it hurts the few characters that don't fit the mold.
You do realize she has 100% uptime with thundering fury right. With the thundering fury clorindes speed can allow her to trigger the 4 pc at effect enough times that that makes her skill reach 100 uptime.
I feel like they've been trying for a while, but every time people in beta don't like it. Like, Yoimiya and beta v1 Ayato feel like they're designed to be played together in a dual carry team. In the beta, Ayato needed to have someone else do NAs on field to... reduce his E cooldown IIRC. And Yoimiya's burst seems designed to have someone else attacking while it's active.
As they say in cooking, not every waffle is oerfect. Some ate mid but still delicious. It applies to chars. Sometimes u hit the mold, sometimes misses a bit

I think the one major QoL feature i think Clorinde is missing is a visual indicator for when she is at max BoL. Something similar to Wriothesly's red glow effect when he gets his enhanced CA would be much appreciated on Clorinde, because having to look at her health bar to see my BoL stack up feels awkward
Just do the N3E1 x 6 combo without looking at the hp bar and worry about your BoL. Occasionally you might not do a lunge at full BoL or do an extra pistol shot if you get interrupted or have to dodge, but otherwise turn the combo into muscle memory and her dmg should be very good and consistent. It works for me.
Seriously...seriously...I have to ask...do you have clorinde and tried her trial. Her skill literally starts flashing when the bond is max so you know to press it. Once you hit the 105 mark it starts to pulse for you to use.

Plus you are not considering the fact that high ping players have to wait even after completing N3 so we have to look at the hp bar just to make sure that we have enough BoL.
Worth noting that that Qiqi,Zhongli,Furina team also benefits from that healing received bonus, as it has two character's that provide that: Qiqi and Furina. And it has a lot of other little synergies as well. Qiqi's burst is big healing for the on-field character, so you need fewer normals for Clor. Zhongli debuffs phys resists as well, on top of electro and hydro ones, while Qiqi will likely be in Clam. It's an interesting team that has a lot of synergy between its characters, while addressing most of Clor's comfort of gameplay issues.
@@cleod7439 Adequate, that's the word you're missing. This team has Furina, who does damage and provides a big DMG boost. Qiqi can be in either Maidens, for more BoL for Clor, or Clam for some phys procs of her, so that's some extra damage. The team also lets you do less normals on Clor, which also helps offset the dendro edge. And Zhongli debuffs phys, electro, and hydro. On top of that, there's the Zhongli comfort factor. For most players, having that comfort factor means they'll play this version much closer to its ceiling than one that has an inferior or no shielder. And so while in theory, the damage gap will be big, in practice, it won't be for these players. At the end of the day, there are two things to consider: 1) Can you clear the Abyss/content fast enough? Not how fast. Just fast enough, because rewards are binary. You either make the time or you don't. 2) Are you having fun? Because it's a game, and if you aren't having fun, well, I hope you're at least a successful content creator so you're getting paid for it. And all that said, I won't be playing this team, because I skipped Clor as I have no interest in a character with all the hassles that go with the BoL characters. Also don't have or want Zhongli, but regardless... ;)
@@Axterix13 i mean, im not saying that the team dosent have synergy, but Clorinde personal dmg is balance around dendro reactions and taking advantage of her fast electro app (same as cyno or keqing). So playing her without dendro is like playing gaming or hu tao without vape, or wanderer without faruzan C6, the team can work obviously, but the dps lose in the main carry is of around 10k, if her team dps are already not the greatest without defensive support, and you're also not using a 3rd dps but zhongli, and also taking away her dendro reactions... At that point wouldn't be better just play something like Clorinde with kirara instead of running a team with a healer, shielder and without good reactions??
So basically All i got from this was, Clorinde is good but hard to use compared to other characters therefore if you got skill issues dont play her or just use a shield if available. I think a lot players are not used to clorinde as of yet and have not adapted to her playstyle. Just like arle in a sense.
She has felt fine for me. I've just been using her with fischl, dehya, and chevruse. She covers dehya's weakness of only taking a portion of the damage. I don't have c6 chevruse, but the damage still feels fine with dehya on TOM. Although the furina quickbloom definitely feels the strongest. Im just happy to finally have a team where dehya feels like she's doing something.
Your analogy for Clorinde is spot on. She sucked me dry, and I didn't feel good about it afterward. I had to spend five full pity for C0R1 😢. I have Haran and an extra Mistsplitter, but my crazy ass though she didn't look good with a katana.
Every road one takes to understand why her duration was nerfed leads to an uglier answer than the last. I don't think im exaggerating when i say this was the most needless nerf in the game's history , at least with dehya we could excuse it for her being standard, clorinde is limited , therefore every answer one can come up with casts an ugly shadow on mihoyo as a company and the game's future as a whole. If you like a character, You're at the mercy of mihoyo's favouritism
The game future right now is to make all 4 stars trash until you get them to C6 and make all 5 stars incomplete and underwhelming unless you get C1 (aka Hutao treatment).

I kinda regret investing so much to get her and her signature. Clorine has a horrible skill uptime and a very long downtime. 7.5s skill uptime and 8.5s downtime to be exact. You're basically not in her skill mode half of the time. The long downtime makes her trash for coop play. Her 3NA+E window is very precise, if you're dodging or getting attacks, that's a whole rotation ruined. Idk what they were thinking when nerfing her skill uptime.
You should try the thundering fury set it's really good for this issue. if you get enough reactions lowest time her E cooldown is 1.2s, most i've had to wait in co-op was about 5s

I myself did that pulling furina like 2 mins after server update and thx god she was actually good (i did research alot during her prerelease but as we all know, spreadsheet numbers dont always mean IRL gameplay ones). Was gonna pull chorline as well because i didnt have an onfielder electro dps outside of c0 shougn but thx god i waited for the post release feedback as the ping dependents was a red flag for my 3rd world internet using ass
the real concept behind the qiqi team is skyward blade increases your attack speed and healing generates bond of life. this means you can output way more damage in the 7s window. superconduct is just a bonus since there isnt actually any other healer that could heal as much as qiqi with the constraints for the team. the physical damage even with all the shred is only ~12% of the damage per hit.
Almost every TC for Genshin: Clorinde is the best electro DPS in the game and pretty strong. Almost every TC viewer on RU-vid: Clorinde is mid/sucks. It's almost as if the people only come to hate and don't watch the video. She may not be Neuvilette, but 72.5k with only the BP weapon is damn good DPS. She's obviously harder to play, but what does it matter? If you like her better than Neuvi or Arlecchino you'll learn to play her, it's not really THAT hard.

It is also interesting that they like to bring up Arl as well, who, while being higher reward, is also higher risk than Clor. And has a lot of BoL related teaming considerations as well. That said, I do think the quality of life aspects of a kit should be mentioned, because that, more than a bit more damage, is what will likely impact how long it'll be before they shelf the character. Like Cyno, Ganyu, and Lyney... all are perfectly fine DPS, but how they play and teaming restrictions means many people either skipped them or, if they did get them, have stopped using them. And it is my expectation that this will happen with Arl as well.

You seem to forget she has a passive that gives her resistance, while being able to dodge since she has infinite up time on her infusion while clorinde has a pathetic 7 second up time that'll be cut even shorter if you dodge or get hit. Thats ignoring the heal on burst

People say our criticism of her is "skill issue" but when even 200+ ping is already significant enough to lose on a 1/3 of her rot dmg, probably even with perfect dodging there would be a significant lost too (there is the tech of using her skill to attack/dodge at the same time but thats probably not doable 100% of the time especially in mutliwave content
Having fun with Overload Clorinde. Dehya unironically makes the team feel viable. Gonna try more Quickbloom too. Even if Quicken is her best, other teams still feel fine as long as you're not getting staggered constantly.
I love characters like this that reward good gameplay. Her synergy with furina makes her different enough from other electro dps on my acc since furina c2 only needs only a bit of healing to get max stacks. I can then replace Baizhu with fischl and everything gets one rotated basically 😂 Oh and her synergy with yun jin in single target is really cool!
Same for me, I like mindless characters like Neuvi but having a few like Chlorinde that require tighter rotations makes playing the game actually challenging and fun.
Wrong about Yae being reliant to dendro teams to shine. Since she’s a sub dps she can goes in any team and her dmg will still be good. While Clorinde is a main DPS and without dendro teams her dmg is extremely disgusting.

The gameplay issues are my main problem with her.. Clorinde is so ping dependent that if you have even 100 above Ping , she doesn't feel great to play because fee of her combos doesn't register (a casual player won't notice).. Not to mention her targeting system is actually janky.
Damn so she's also scuffed with ping issues like ayato on echo set? My average is 220ms so good thing i delayed on pulling for her intill i saw what other players find her actual gameplay was post launch compared to spreadsheet dmg in leaks. @megalith7796 goodthing u upgraded your wifi because while I personally dont have her to speak from experience, some online discord freinds have shared me screen recordings of how at like 250+ ping, quite few of the skill mode hits dont actually give BOL and some don't even register the actual electro dmg hits themselves. Basically its not that it feels "laggy" but that its the same as for example playing with echo artfiact set ayato on high ping and getting only half of the expected dmg numbers because for some reason, some of the buffs are getting skip for werid internet syncing reasons.
This is the first character that I whale to get and her weapon and honestly 350$ to get a character it's ridiculous and I feel bad for it. I lost my 50/50 to Qiqi at 80 then got my guaranteed at 80 pity again then for the weapon I lost twice and now I'm at 62 pity on the last try. This experience has made me never want to spend $$ on wishes ever again.
I honestly feel bad for you. My advice in the future is to save the whaling intill you fully research the Character pre and post release as spreadsheet dmg doesnt always equal IRL gameplay. My only whaling experience was for furina c2 which i planned for since her early beta days and even then I waited intill a week after her release to get her c1-c2 as i wanted tobe sure from others it wouldn't be an issue especially with me being a high ping mobile player. Same reason I had to skip chlorine even thou I don't have any onfielder electro dps as my 200+ ping would make her worse feeling to play than even sethos i think

I honestly think Clorinde is the character that made me love Genshin again, because she made me completely rethink how I team-build. It may be "Cope", but I've been having a lot more fun exploring VV-less teams and using lesser-used units. Plus she works with Venti, and Baizhu on his own is enough IR to make her feel very smooth
Clorinde needs for the player to think on where to dash, as it is so fast that most enemies miss their attacks on her, so you can use Baizhu for the interruption and damage mitigation
I consider myself a severely skill issue player. I find her Furina/Zhongli/Qiqi team very very very satisfying to play with. All my characters are C0 (well except Qiqi that is at C4) my Clorinde is using Skyward Blade (yes. lol). I have been consistently clearing side 1 of floor 12 in under a minute with this team. If you are having problems with her and have this setup, try it. It's pretty decent for how comfortable it is. Shout-out to Jamie and Jello for making guides about this comp.
i'd argue that if "her self heal is enough to stay alive" if you play right, then you should just play keqing right and she doesn't need a defensive option either
If you play right against triple kenki with Keqing, you will still take dmg from the cryo floor, and that dmg is permanent, meanwhile with Clorinde you just heal back
i was gonna pull clorinde but then i played her on my brothers account and really didnt like it, also later learnt that her bond of life is effected by high ping and as an australian my ping is like 150 on average but will sometimes get close to 300, also we got emilie kit leaks and i wanna make funny burning teams and pair her with my c2 nahida and natlan is coming with the pyro archon and given how emilie wants pyro i think shes one of the most blatant examples of a character being designed with future units in mind, so yeah im just gonna pull emilie instead, besides i already have too many on field dps's and she would probably get benched quickly for me anyway.
Basically they Dehya’d her…HEAR ME OUT…thx… Her kit has some jank in it but thankfully she at least is an offensive unit and is marketed as one. Dehya is a “Tank” who doesn’t have anything innate in her kit that gives her a perk for taking Dmg. You want to gain anything from it? You need artifact sets or a whole other damn 5 star in Furina. Her Sig gives her CR but her numbers are just too low to justify it. Clorinde is an attacker who at least gets a bonus for causing reactions, but her numbers are low and her up time is restricted. They could’ve but a cooldown reduction into her kit similar to Arlecchino. But nope, you want to use her for more than a half second? You need TF to address her skill issues if you can’t dodge because “skill issue”. You need a whole other damn character…maybe Dehya? Her Sig is at least CD but her base numbers are low, which only manages to even her out. She isn’t counterintuitive like Dehya but she has contradictions in her kit to restrain her use that can’t be overcome. On a Mechanical Level she’s Dehya…but a little better. I’m not saying you can’t make her work. I play both just fine and you can to. They can hit OK. But if you’re wondering why she feels so frustrating, TGS put it up there and I’m just piling on. It’s all the jank in her kit. Also no Chevreuse…..😢
My Clorinde team consists of Clorinde Sara Furina Baizhu. It may indeed be quickbloom but I assure you the reaction contribute little in the team. Baizhu have burst team heal (E) to accommodate Furina's stack building and refreshing shield to accommodate Clorinde non-existence interrupt resistance. Clorinde kit favor ATK over EM as opposed to other Electro character (still not as much as Raiden), Also Baizhu passive already increase Clorinde aggravate and hyperbloom DMG in place of EM stat (rougly equivalent to 105 EM if Clorinde have 0 EM and will yield more if she have more EM). Furina DMG bonus increase both Clorinde and Sara DMG, both raw DMG and aggravate DMG. rotation: Furina[E] -> Baizhu[QE] -> Furina[Q] -> Sara[EC] -> Clorinde[Q]** -> Sara[Q] -> Clorinde [E->6N3E (or N2E if Baizhu heal)] ** I do it this way to maximize Mist Splitter Reforged passive I know not all of you have C6 Sara or C2 Furina but you can't exactly call me whale for going for "Top META" constellations (at the time). You can save as low spender or even F2P and go for a bit of vertical investment on strong character to carry you. P.S. - Play however your like. You play the game for your own enjoyment (hopefully), have fun and good luck with your pull.
4:00 Yeah... no Chevy on this banner is peak Hoyo trolling. I had to stack 50 pity on Baizhu to get around it, and the C6 Faruzan I got from that has been a more enjoyable DPS than Clorinde. Mainly because her dash attack keeps going in the complete wrong direction. We'll have to see if future enemies and/or characters make her more useful.
While I skip Clorinde, I really appreciate her for having gimmick that can used with Qiqi and Skyward Blade. IIRC, Qiqi is there not just for applying Cryo or healing but also add healing bonus to Clorinde on top of Furina, which make her feel BoL easier to the point that you might be able to do N2E.
Let's recap: 1. Glued to Fischl 2. Glued to one particular reaction (quicken) 3. Doesn't work well with some supports that are already good in quicken teams 4. Needs babysitting just like any other hypercarry 5. Doesn't have hypercarry level of damage Yeah, she is pretty dissapointing, ngl.

Another fantastic video from TGS, covering the strengths and weaknesses of Clorinde, as well as her more niche teams like Skyward Blade Qiqi Superconduct. Personally I find her best team to be Fischl Nahida Kazuha, same as Keqing’s best team which carried me through some *tough* previous abysses. Seeing her as a stronger dps option than many other electro dps options (aside from dolphin investment Raiden) makes her have decent pull value. Of course, for f2ps without Furina I highly recommend pulling powerful supports over main dpses which Hoyo seems bent on churning out during Fontaine.
As someone who plays and loves Clorinde's playstyle, here's my take: If you like her and want her, don't worry about her performace or how others think. Get her, you will enjoy her. If you don't want her, either because of some pre-conceived notion that she's clunky and the worst electro character so far, or you just don't really find her appealing, then simply don't get her. This has been said on numerous occasions; Genshin Impact is an easy game. Pull for the characters you want, enjoy the game however you please, the game is your oyster.
I will never forgive Hoyoverse for reducing her duration from 9.5 seconds to 7.5 :) I almost quit genshin from how pissed off I was with this sudden stupid change
@@VajaraDoorson her cooldown wasn't reduced, her night vigil state was reduced. The mode when she uses her E-skill and changes her auto attacks from swords to pure electro gunning. This is the "night vigil" state that was reduced from 9.5 seconds to 7.5 Surely I dont have to tell you why her night vigil duration being reduced is a bad thing, right? But if i do have to; basically this means her on-field time is ALOT shorter, and because its so short- the cycle of using your other teammates doesnt match properly and its clunky. When she finishes her time on-field, everyone else still has their cooldowns, making her clunky.
The point she can’t replace Raiden shogun! There’s a prophecy going on which will probably happen that no other electro character from all teyvat including future characters can’t replace Raiden shogun🙂↔️
I pulled her without looking at any online discourse and never noticed anything wrong. At this point, pairing an electro on fielder with fischl and dendro seems natural and she feels very strong to me. I use fischl sucrose and yao yao.
100% agreed. I think hoyo gating her IR behind C2 is just peak greed, she really needed it to feel good. Without it you're left with a DPS that's supposed to be self sustaining with high team DPS thanks to not needing a defensive unit, but instead spends half her time recovering from staggers and knockdowns. Clorinde is what happened when a company is so dominant they don't even feel the need to give you complete units at C0.
well completely agree, she is so hard to play against bosses, but she doing completely okay against mobs. I am still gonna get C2, because there is no way back, it is so annoying getting staggered
Jokes aside from shes basically shougn 2.0 now, hoyo sadly made many of their new characters at this point needing early c1-c2 cons tobe fully viable. Nevuillete and arlecchino both have their interruption resistance at c1 for example but atleast one can shoot a beam from a safe distance and the other has basically infinite pyro infusion so more flexible than chorline with her short-ish rotations punishing you for getting staggered or waste time dodging alot

Imagine how unplayable she would be if she didnt have that especially with how her best combo is N1C spamming which would suck if she got staggered during it. I miss when Cons were just extra dmg numbers or QOL upgrades and not "heres a fix to a fundamental problem with the gameplay".
@@agiant5715 the one upside chlorinde has at the very least is that u do have her skill dash to reposition yourself and dodge stuff with that. A perfect example is dodging copelias ranged attacks with it on 2nd floor rn. You dont NEED c2 but without it best believe shes a high skill cap character. I think the lyney comparison was spot on, you can play him without zhong and youll definitely be rewarded for it, but u best be cracked out at the game
“Lightly better” is not enough when you talk about a character that can cost you $300. I’m not asking for powercreep, just for more creativity when we talk about character’s kit designs.
Just mid (already having Raiden it is not worth the expense of another 24k primogems) in my opinion it should have been at Alhaitam's levels (also having the same reactions and essentially the same team) and it should also have had less monotonous gameplay: NA NA NA and Q spammed endlessly. Yet another wasted design after Dehya one of my biggest disappointments.
Less monotonous gameplay?? Literally everyone plays similarly. NA, or skill spam into burst rotation and yada yada, clorinde is not any different from the rest
yeah, it seems fun at first but after a while of using it it quickly becomes monotonous monotonous to use, it has too high a CD and you don't have the possibility to do anything other than the same thing all the time... I wish I could go back back and not really spending my 25k primogems
She's very interesting character when you look on her numbers you'll wtf is that but if you look on the boss hp it's literally being erased people didn't like her because they like big numbers but imo she's a broken character i use sara c6 cheveruse c6 and xiangling she does 60k per hit finale of the deep r5 gladiator set she's very strong character , i really wish you try this team it's cracked 🎉
To be fair reguarding the meta it’s gonna take alot of steps if they keep creating characters similar to neuvilette or arlecchino. To be fair it might be better not to give to much charcters like these so the game doesn’t dry out so having clordine not being overpowered makes sense in my eyes. One of genshins many mechanics is to use team building however it be really hard to do that if ya technically had a 1 man army.
You can hold attack (similar to Ayato) to autofire the 3 gunshots, if that feels any better for you. So it becomes more of a consistent two part rolling action rather than frantic mashing.

Is that Chlorinde vs Yae vs Keqing comparison at 4:55 for their personal damage or team damage? I'm guessing it's their personal damage, which is maybe half or less of the team damage?
@@putent9623 in what way? Arlecchino's only main downside is not being able to heal outside of her burst. Aside from that, she literally has every good quality of life to make her as flexible as possible in terms of team rotations. She fits the term "hypercarry" perfectly better than anyone else that isn't Neuvillete
@@putent9623 Arlecchino is a very good character.. the only noticeable downsides i think she has is her not being able to heal which makes her have "anti-synergy" with furina and healers. *Keep in mind, you can still easily use furina with her*
She's been by far the most polarizing character in Genshin by now, either people over praises her saying she's the best or they doomed her bc of the weird adjustments to her kit. To me it's a really complicated case of "she's good and does really good DMG, but she feels so weird in practice." Not the champion duelist combat style they promised from the beginning nor a disappointing kit overall.
People saying she's best are often paid actors for Hoyo. They are meant to spread lies and hype characters up so the playerbase will pull for the character.
i saw one team of hers that ive heard does about as well as her dendro teams, and its the one where she uses skyward sword and has qiqi as a teammate, using the overhealing of qiqi to overcap on BoL, im still not sure the specifics of why the team works or why clorinde needs to use skyward sword for the team to work but id be interested in hearing your commentary on it
In that video, it had Qiqi on Maiden's set which I assume is to help build Clorinde's bond of life higher, but I'm thinking that Clam set on Qiqi is probably better since Superconduct helps improve the bubble pop damage from Clam, though I'm not sure where that investment breakpoint would be so that Clam set is enough to generate enough Bond of Life vs Maiden's.
@@mickysaif It takes 5 hits to get one proc from Flute, not to mention it's a 4* so it just has fewer stats. The team is already not incredible, just fun, so I wouldn't recommend Flute
Iirc, Jamie argues about Clam vs Maiden's, but opts for Maiden's because the whole point of using Qiqi instead of any other Cryo character is that no one can buff Clorinde's BoL as much as her and ideally you'd want it to be at 200% as often as possible.
We were so close to greatness. Clorinde, Sara, Yun Jin, Chevreuse. And now imagine Yun Jin being either pyro or electro. That team would be there giving Clorinde the highest personal damage at 65k/s and would be pretty much on par with the dreaded aggravate. :*(
Clorinde is the type of character that in future abyss usage rate posts she will be on the 10-20% range lol I personally never reccomend character like those unless you *really* like them and/or have some very nice overworld gameplay feel (so not planning to necessarily use them for abyss), else you' ll end up benching them and use them never
Honestly, I wouldn't blanket recommend any DPS. Abyss usage rates are just not a good reason to get a DPS character. We have so many DPS characters now, and the five stars can all clear the Abyss, provided you build a team and not just a collection of characters. What matters is if you have teams with sufficient quantity of elemental application across about 4 of the elements, and you're probably golden. I mean, I've basically used the same two teams in every single Abyss (though the Yae team has evolved as it brought in Fontaine characters) since Dehya was released. So yeah, get a few DPS/on-fielders you like playing, enough that you cover enough elemental bases that you can't be shut down, and you're good. Specific ones? Don't really matter. Of course, the new mode will potentially shift it so that you want more characters, but, regardless, Abyss usage rates for DPS carries don't really matter. It's just hive mind.
@@Axterix13 Oh yea don't get me wrong I didn't want to use abyss usage rate as a definite proof, it' s just there there IS somewhat of a pattern where characters that deal good damage but aren't necessarily very versatile or the best option But that is specifically about on field damage dealers, because off fielders and supports are obviously gonna do better, and 4* rates are super unreliable as pretty much everyone has those I agree with all you said

She is quite hard to use, so i wouldn't really recommend her for new players. But if you like her character and have no care for the ever-changing META...then maybe go for it. You don't need META to play the game anyway.
She’s very good for new players, just cleared floor 12 with clorinde sucrose yaoyao and fischl, and she gets a ton of crit rate at base which is hard to get early game
As the video said, shes quite inflexible with supports because of her skill timings which you as a new player would suffer the hardest from so i dont recommend her. The rest of us vertern meta players are annoyed with how she wouldn't be good with many of our supports but we can still play her but meanwhile you probably only got DMC with her so probably gonna have a hard time
I prefer characters I can play pretty chill and get okay results but when I want to fucus I can push them to great results. Clorinde seems like a character you have to sit up and focus for at a baseline and that's just not for me.
After playing with her since release, I do think she is one of the more fun characters. She definitely feels stronger than most of the Electro main dps' and having to be cognizant of her team and BoL values has been a nice change of pace. I do wish her duration was a little longer, but other than that, I don't have any real complaints or compromises with building her.
Didn't want her but got her in my first wish. I guess I was lucky. Later I was baited to pull for her weapon because I wanted a 5* sword for my account and I had both Alhaitam and Clorinde so whatever sword I got I was going to use it.
keep in mind this is most likely only a personal dmg comparison, not whole team dmg comparison, Keqing and Miko's aggravate teams sheet very close to Clorinde's - at least in all prior calcs i've seen up to this point, they're incredibly close. In fact depending on the set Clorinde's using and other parameters (weapon, how many enemies etc) they can even sheet higher (Clorinde's cons are very strong though, so this is obviously assuming a C0 Clorinde and C0 Yae Miko. For Keqing the calcs I've seen tend to assume anywhere from C4 to C6, probably because she's a very old standard character)

I'm already at 73 pity pulling for clorinde. But after watching your video about clorinde's meta analysis, I need to think if I should continue pulling for her or going for c2 navia
I think she’s good, but people just aren’t comfortable using her yet. She has a good damage profile that helps her deal with waves. You can use her burst to finish off one wave and then go into her stance to another one. She’s just solid, I think the compromises you have to make are always relevant because you typically aren’t losing much damage by going for a defensive option like thoma/kirara/or situationally beidou. My biggest problem with her is that her self healing without furina just isn’t that great. Also I’d never use zhongli with her, he fits horribly in her teams imo.
7:13 just remember... dehya could've been a meta sustain unit if they just had her skill have no secondary cooldown to the super armor. they sabotaged her so much.
Clorinde + Chevreuse (C6?) + Raiden + Xiangling (C4) I tried this just for kicks and it somehow did better than my traditional Raiden/Chevreuse hypercarry team on floor 12. It's probably even more braindead than Rational. Just pop a Chevy bullet to buff Pyronado plus anyone of the on-fielders and keep clicking on that until you get another Chevy bullet for the burst of your other on-fielder then you keep clicking on that until Pyronado is off cooldown again. Rinse and repeat. The timings are so lenient that I don't even have to concern myself with optimizing neither Clorinde's nor Raiden's rotations. So long as I get a burst off, I only need to keep clicking until someone else is off cooldown.
