How has dating evolved in modern times? With the ability to discover thousands of potential partners instantly on your phone, is the end-game of romance starting to move away from tradition? Today I sit down with Oleg, who has been polyamorous for about 2 years, to talk about why he thinks polyamory is the way of the future. Oleg first started trying polyamory via the dating app OkCupid, after seeing an ad on the subway for it.
I wonder if Oleg would hold the same views he has if he was a straight man. As a straight man, I think our community thinks a lot more about having and raising children, and that can make polyamory much more difficult or undesirable. Great interview! Oleg mentioned his main partner has other partners in the city. Would Oleg consider the same or he has out of states partners for a reason?

Good question David. There's an answer to it. And there are polyamory straight people who is raising kids.

Women also force straight men to be obedient to their demands, and most women demand monogamy. Gay men have quite a bit more freedom and have less restrictions on their autonomy since there are no "role" demands/expectations (e.g. make more money than your girlfriend, unilateral sacrifice, suppress emotions, etc). Women are also a lot more protective over the resources a male provides, so they will often come across as more neurotic/argumentative. In theory, women are this way because they want the best for the hypothetical kids, however in the daily grind of life women's demands are not only more stressful, but there are risks to straight men for breaking those demands (e.g. divorce court, alimony etc). And since straight men usually pay the biggest price for the relationship ending (both emotional and financial), we're sort of on a leash, and we're motivated to stay there via our romantacism and higher sex drive.
