Today we're looking at one of our new world drop weapons this season, Crux Termination IV. This weapon has had a lot of hype behind it so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. The results seriously surprised us BUT there's a catch.

As a ignition code main, Slideshot is a perk for every other situation than a dps phase, because everyone is gonna want to kick you for spaming slides and pushing people out of the well

@@sgtcockburn5824 fortunately, Impact Casing is *way* less critical on rockets than Spike is on GLs. It's something like a 10% increase to impact damage, which ends up being something less than 2.5% Whereas Spike Grenades can be closer to a 20% increase with the right setup.

One thing is slideshot does not work in raid encounters. You are just going to get everyone on the team blown up if you are sliding in front of them in a damage phase

Hmm, what about if they use lumina with blessing of the sky outside of the well? More damage at the cost of less healing unless they have a healing rift which can’t be too hard to sustain.

The world drops this season are by far the best weapons. It's a return to form for D2. The random drops are the chase. Now they're going to nerf slideshot though.

They will not - the perk is trash on this rocket. Go for Reconstruction and be happy… a much better option. No one is using Slideway on Apex, let alone Slideshot on Crux. Both are gimmick perks…

I know you said no to Bipod but having 4 rockets in the tube with Bipod and Reconstruction and another 8 in reserve is pretty nice.

Got the same roll and it cooked in Gms, because sometimes my heavy is worth using for champions and Majors in general. I would not look over Bipod for this weapon :)

Idk I think it's because of the notion of build crafting is so mainline now. Exotics are a large part of builds so they needed to be a bit more accessible i suppose

I want to see another video just like this one but for Ros Arago iv. Rewind rounds/subsistence + onslaught with gyrfalcons. That gives you a 900 RPM auto rifle with volatile rounds that spawns void submunitions (from wild card) on kill, and void breaches + orbs that give devour. It CRANKS in pve and especially against overload champs this season with the overload auto rifle seasonal mod. Use with Levi’s breath for the Easiest/most fun hunter invis loop available.

bipod reduces rocket dmg by 25% and ruins yoou amm ecooomy (ie you still get the same amount of rockets from bricks but do much less damage

Also lookout for Clown Cartridge plus Explosive Light. Simple dps setup. Dont have to worry about sliding or racking up kills for envious assassin.

@@wookieehairem2557 Still very good! Clown is just a very simple reload perk, helps in any engagement, and it'll be on par to better than envious assassin over a prolonged dmg phase. Like with everything, gotta use perks to see what you like and (nearly) everything has a level of viability to them.

@Commander_Pika indeed, as cool as slideshot is I got envious bns and crafted apex, will probably still use those for consistency and apex synergizes with the artifact and seasonal surges. Maybe next season though.

I think reconstruction is better when it comes to rotating through your weapons. Also envious assassin requires enemies to kill to fill the mag.

I got a clown cartridge explosive light role that I've been using for quite a while, and back at the beginning of the season I got a slideshot surrounded roll, and I'm so glad I kept it. Thanks for the info cross!

Aggressive frames also hold one more reserve rocket, so 10 rounds with triple reserves instead of 9 for adaptives

I love my clown cartridge, bipod roll. Combine that with marksmen dodge and sixth coyote and I'm shooting 9 rockets in like 7 seconds, not the best roll but definitely the most fun

I've got a slideshot/demo roll and it's been a ton of fun to use. I can see it being less desirable in a raid situation when you have five teammates to watch out for, but in matchmade activities like Coil or when running NFs it's amazing

A few weeks ago I saw that I got one with slideshot and explosive light and even though I have a great apex, I kept it because I've never seen slideshot on a rocket launcher. I'm so glad I did because it also has impact casing!!!

Two days ago I got the Slideshot, Bipod roll. It is disgusting! Also envious assassin can allow up to 4 shots in the mag. Reconstruction gives you 3.

I got a permeability surrounded roll today and love it, I pair it with a permeability rocket sidearm and I have a solid setup I can use on any subclass but absolute slaps on strand with the seasonal mods

I have a Slideshot + EL roll but my go-to has still been my Tripod roll of Clown Cart + Bipod. It's got high base reload speed and I managed to get one with a reload speed MW. As it already has high velocity, especially compared to Hot Head, you can grab other stats than focusing Velocity. Overall a great weapon with fun rolls that also put in some work.

I got this roll the other day and did a double take when seeing it. Went to test it immediately and realized just how awesome it was going to be. But you do have to be very mindful where you are sliding and it is a good idea to tell your team ahead of time.

My favorite roll on the RL is envious and bipod, can mag dump the entire reserves of heavy. Fun fact, envious assassin can load all your reserves if you do things right, very neat.

I‘m still not really convinced cuz you could achieve a similar effect with radiant dance machines where bait and switch will be better and for longer damage phases reconstruction with bait and switch apex and for example isanagis burden is way better for ammo preservation and maybe even more dps (idk about the last part tho). For general use like gm‘s is apex with recon and explosive light still on top just because of how you dont need to do anything exept point and shoot

I have tracking module, reconstruction and wild card. Is this good? It feels good. mini submunitions from wild card. Reconstruction feels slow sometimes so maybe slideshot would be better? (I’m a warlock) Tracking I love for all RL. Sleepless has tracking, wellspring, demolitionist 100 blast. Used that from release till Crux release

Will we get a video showing how much damage it actually does when you shoot everything instead of just how much it can do in a second as DPS does not make this thing look that insane it simply means it can shoot everything faster whereas Apex Predator could end up doing loads more because it simply hits harder

Are you serious about the test? There are so many unanswered questions and so many mistakes. The test shows what? You can empty the gun in 15 seconds and then what? What do you do in the next dps phase? Watch and do nothing? With the Apex Predator I shoot 4 times with Bipod, go to a Sniper or Fusion Rifle and keep pressing damage and that in all rounds, what do you do with your great Rocketlauncher? Stand in the corner and look for ammo?

I have an impact recon bipod I use on my bakris hunter build right now too. And interestingly enough, double special which is still very good. I’ve been using special ammo finisher and agree scepter with in impulse voltshot indebted kindness. Spicy build indeed.

Apex predator when paired with radiant dance machines or rain of fire does more because of the enhanced surrounded option btw, which for me really makes this already niche god roll only useful on titan but rn but for majority of scenarios strand titan can be used to out dps the rocket by far which just makes it even more niche

I have both the recomb/expl.light and slideshot/expl.light - no impact casing sadly. I will say I prefer the recomb roll for stunning overloads as my shot is more accurate to finish them off in master lost sectors. Another nice thing is that I can double up on surges when running Indebted Kindness :)

Yay, I got Slideshot + Explosive Light very soon after it dropped. I thought it would be good but more of a meme weapon, glad to know it’s very strong. I also have Envious + B&S Cold Comfort and crafted Apex, now we need top tier Strand and Void rockets to replace Semiotician and Red Herring, complete the rocket rainbow. Nice to be able to double up on Surges Also, if you’re using rockets for swap DPS then I’d still say a reload perk like Envious or Reconstruction is the way to go, Slideshot is just for blowing your load all at once

I MWed the first 3 that dropped. After this information, went with Quick Launch/Impact Casting( black powder)/ Clown Cartridge/ Explosive Light. Blast Radius MW

I don't know how much it would change the dps values, but you can get 4 rockets in the mag with envious assassin (kill one ad, swap to rocket to get 2 in the mag, kill other 10 ads, the perk will add 2 rockets to the mag and get you to 4, it sounds harder that it actually is), and with cold comfort's origin trait you can fire 5 rockets without reloading. Maybe you did it in the testing but I didn't see that in the video so I though I'd point it out

Crux is my go to heavy this season when I’m wanting a pve heavy to deal damage that is dragons breath. I use a clown explosive light roll more, because it really syncs with Argent Ordinance this season, but I have a bipod clown for fun that I use for shooting as many rockets as I can

Huh…I got impact casing, envious assassin and explosive light on a drop not too long ago. Didn’t even realize I had a decent roll since I just use hothead for everything

I have one with Bipod and Reconstruction. Rapid firing 4 rockets a reload has been very fun.

I got one with bipod and reconstruction with a blast radius masterwork and it's kinda insane, honestly. For pure boss dps it isn't the best roll but swapping to RL and having 4 shots in the tank is SO handy to just pop off a tanky enemy real quick.

How important is impact casing? I have slideshot/surrounded in my vault but it has black powder/high-velocity rounds instead 😔

I got one with slideshot and demolitionist. Pair it with apotheosis veil and you’ll be dumping your load like nothing you’ve ever experienced before 😊

I've got a reconstruction/bipod roll is that good or bad? I've been using it a lot and it feels nice to use but is should I be going for a better roll damage wise?

for damage you'd want recon/slideshot and surrounded/bait and switch. but recon bipod is really good for like GMs and non boss damage scenarios where you're kinda nuking champs and clearing ads with gjallarhorn
