Will never happen in the public school system! He is so fsr removed from the WOKE, Counter Culture society, if we will, that his books would be burned at first sight in the school! The Public School has removed teaching History as most of us were taught! They then would never allow a true Patriots written word in their school! God teach us to pray, fall on our knees, and fast for this list world! Thank you for your comment!

I have run into this phenomenon of late in which fellow Christians wish to correct me when I say things like "unrepentance to God Almighty will condemn the [homosexual | unbeliever | Muslim | Budist] to an eternity of punishment and suffering." They are quick to say that we must love them, seeming to negate my previous statement or even ignore it. I always respond with something like "of course you must love them but that love compels us to tell the truth and warn them of their imminent danger. And, weirdly this response sometimes elicits a look of disapproval and even a head shake as one gives another, when they are just not getting it. Are, we not to tell God's truth to dying people with the hope that one or more may repent and turn to Christ. Is that not the greatest act of love, to share Christ's Gospel? Maranatha!

Unfortunately “judging” is now the unpardonable sin and is considered much worse than any other sin. Quite frustrating and not helping save anyone.
@redflame4558

@@robinette64 I guess you think judging people is gonna get them saved, then, huh? Certain things belong only to the Lord. Things like judgement for sin & vengeance, belong solely to the Lord. HOWEVER, that does not mean you have to "throw the baby out with the bathwater." You MAY use "discernment." It is technically a form of judgment. Just not in the context we are speaking of here. Like, a Christian may interact w/ someone gay in a manner which shines light on the Lord & the word, instead of pushing people away from it. It's all in how you treat people. Christians are also supposed to walk in the light & be examples... *beacons* even. We don't use judgement fairly enough & people weigh certain sins differently based on the same Bible. That is PRECISELY why we are just supposed to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, *above all else.* The Lord has reasons. I'm sure some are the more obvious ones, too... lol But, we do not know the mystery of how the Lord works or how he reserves or hands out punishment. So, in society, we don't have an excuse to treat people any way but politely & courteously, when we see them at the store. Whether it's a gay couple, a foreigner visiting your land or immigrant, or someone you don't share political ideology with. You don't have to go out to dinner. But, you don't have to show the mean spirit w/in you, either... like, making comments to them regarding something about them that different or about something you perceive to be a sin. Even if it definitely is a sin, treat them well. The grocery store doesn't have a side hustle featuring debates, w/public participation for free & judgements handed out every every Tues w/ the sale ads. Quit harassing people in public & turning them away from the word forever. & if they're "tfg" (too far gone), you're now performing a meaningless task. Way to go. We gotta THINK & use common sense
@robinette64
@robinette64 3 года назад
@@redflame4558 hang on. I think you are making a lot of unkind assumptions about me. Where did I say to be mean to anyone? When did I harass someone in public?? I was simply making the point that discernment is not even allowed in any context anymore. Without knowledge of sin there can be no repentance. And your comment about not “knowing” about God’s punishment is silly. He tells us throughout the entire Bible the consequences of our sin. We need to understand our sin to understand why we need a savior. THAT is loving.

@@redflame4558 How many times have you heard someone whine, "Judge not, that ye be not judged?" This verse of Scripture from Matthew 7:1 is often quoted out of context by people who are terrified at the idea of someone preaching against sin or pointing out any form of error in anyone, especially in themselves. As I stood in a voting line one day I overheard a woman justifying her foolish choice for president by saying, "Well, we aren't supposed to judge." Imagine that! Choosing NOT to judge a political candidate on election day! No wonder our nation is in such a mess! As for Matthew 7:1, the context (verses 1-5) allows judging after you have first judged YOURSELF. Jesus did not make a blanket statement against judgment. He simply pointed out a RULE for judging. Now, the word "judge" in its various forms (judgeth, judging, judgment, judges, etc) is found over 700 times in God's word. One whole book of the Bible is titled "Judges" for it was written at a time when God raised up judges to lead His people. As we are about to see, God EXPECTS His people to judge. In fact, you are sinning against God if you refuse to judge! (Read that again, please) God Expects Us to Judge "The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment." (Psa. 37:30) A righteous person will talk of judgment. He will not REFUSE to judge. He will talk judgment. "Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph." (Amos 5:14-15) How can you hate the evil and love the good if you refuse to judge? You can't. You are SINNING when you refuse to judge. Our generation is well described in Isaiah 59:8: "The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace." People have refused to judge, so there is no peace. Paul said in I Corinthians 1:10 to ". . . be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." Why would Paul make such a statement if judging is wrong? In I Corinthians 2:15 Paul says, "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." Judging is not a sin; judging is a characteristic of being a spiritual person! Satan has been lying to us, hoping that we will NOT judge, because he knows that the right kind of judgment PLEASES God and betters our lives and Christian service. Someone says, "But should we judge PEOPLE?" Yes, we certainly should. Paul actually REBUKES the Corinthians for NOT judging: "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?" (I Cor. 6:1-5) If judging is wrong, then Paul needs to confess and repent for misleading these Christians! He clearly told them to JUDGE PEOPLE. If judging people is wrong, how can we obey Romans 16:17-18? II Corinthians 6:17? II Timothy 3:5-6? I John 4:1? Friend, if judging is wrong, then God has contradicted Himself and His words cannot be trusted! Notice Malachi 3:18: "Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." WOW! Does that sound like it is wrong to judge? What about Revelation 2:2? " I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:" Why would the Lord be pleased with these Christians if judging was wrong? Is it not impossible to find someone a "liar" without judging them? If the Bible is clear about anything, it is clear about the importance of judging on a regular basis in order to properly serve and honor God. To ignore this fact is to ignore all of the Scripture just presented and also the rest of the Bible. God expects us to judge. God's Rules for Judging Now I do not wish to imply that we should spend all of our time judging. Sometimes people judge when they have no business doing so. In John 7:24 Jesus tells us to judge RIGHTEOUS judgment. This can only be done by following the rules that God has established in His word. Here follow seven good rules from Scripture: Judge Scripturally Isaiah 8:20 says, "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Our standard is God's word, not our feelings, our traditions, or our opinions. Right and wrong should always be determined by God's word. Don't Judge When God's Word Is Silent If God's word is silent about a subject, then you may not have to judge at all. Don't rush to judgment on an issue when the Bible says very little or is silent about it. Don't make more of a matter than God makes of it. A good example of this is found in Colossians 2:16: "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" That is, these are not subjects of great importance today, so let's not make these great issues of judgment. Pray for Good Judgement Ability When Solomon received his kingdom he asked God to "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" (I Kings 3:9) James 1:5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." We should pray for good judgment ability. Don't Respect Persons Proverbs 24:23 says, "These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment." Treat all parties fairly without favoring anyone, such as family members or friends. A truly fair judge is blind and deaf to any outer influence. (Isa. 42:1, 19-21) Judge in Truth Do not judge another when you do not have all the relevant facts. Jeremiah 5:1 says, "Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it." A true judge is one who seeks the truth. If you must judge, be sure and get all the facts. A Japanese proverb says to "search seven times before you judge." Judge Mercifully Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:2: "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." You'll reap what you sow (Gal. 6:7-8). If you are swift and harsh in judging others, then God will see to it that you receive the same from others. Has God not been very merciful to you, even though you deserved it not? Likewise, you should exercise mercy toward others. Don't Forget to Judge Yourself I Corinthians 11:30-31: "For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged." If you are a true Christian, then you belong to God. You are God's child. If you refuse to judge and improve yourself as a child of God, then God will take it upon Himself to judge you. Many of the troubles that we face in life are nothing more than God's way of judging us since we often neglect to judge ourselves. Wouldn't it be amazing if every Christian actually took time to judge themselves before judging anyone else? In Matthew 7:4-5, Jesus says, " Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." A good judge will not fail to judge himself.

If one looked at this issue from a Marxist point of view, Platt would be the perfect Manchurian Candidate. He gets the best and the brightest Christians spinning their wheels for an inordinate amount of time pondering whether he's a false teacher/evangelical Christian/social justice warrior/etc., while sowing discord, disruption and chaos in the last stronghold of American Christianity.

Platt has a passionate following, fans who cannot seem to abide anything remotely negative being said about him. I wonder if that in itself is a red flag. We need to be loyal to Christ alone. Anyone else is capable of false teaching and other sins. When a human being is put on the kind of pedestal only Jesus should have, there is a problem. They aren’t following the true Gospel but something else. And it’s interesting how little evidence of racism is needed for the accusation to stick, yet to get out from under the accusation is impossible. CRT is insidious not only for being wrong and unfair, but it seeks to dethrone God as the judge of sin. It makes little Pharisees out of everyone.

Yeah, Platt saying the old, "Sunday morning is the most segregated..." line - I've always had a problem with the use of that term. It may be technically correct. But the connotation of it is that an outside force or inside force created the isolation-from-the-other with isolation-from-the-other in mind. That's not common today. It's not. @@rebeccanoll3130 I will go back and listen to Jon’s video on that to get the name of the books. I’d be interested in reading those. I do find it odd that those that hold the view that Romans 13 requires you to obey the government (as long as they aren’t requiring you to commit a very blatant sin like murder or denying Christ) understand every other line of authority has a limit even outside of Sin. A pastor only has a level of authority over the members. Scripture. A pastor has no authority to tell me how to educate my children. Yet we are to submit to our elders. They can’t tell me where to work. So they understand their authority is with scripture, teaching sound doctrine, church discipline etc. A wife is to submit to her husband. But we understand there are limits there as God hasn’t given a husband full authority over the wife. There are things I can’t require of my wife, or shouldn’t. So why do these folks feel the Government has full authority with no limits unless telling you to sin? That’s where Romans 13 explains their authority. Punish evil and reward good. Now, I’m no expert with this at all. Jesus also says to pay Caesar what is Caesers, and not sure how that fits under the “punish evil and reward good”. This is why I’d like to study up a bit on this.

I wasn't moved by the message, except to guard my mind and my wallet. He was young, my guess in his mid twenties. I don't know where he's at now, but then all I heard from him was how guilty the church was for failing the great commission (as he saw it). It even got to the point where I asked him point blank, "Did you lynch someone in your youth and is it guilt driving you to demand justice like you do?" There are few other explanations for his irrational need to see racism everywhere he looks and try to make it right.

This idea that church is "the most segregated hour" is always used to instill guilt feelings in white Christians as if it's a weakness in Christianity, when it's actually a strength. Unlike Islam, with its 7th century Arabian cultural trappings, Christianity doesn't require its believers to leave their culture when they come to Christ, which is why you can have churches that are black, Chinese, Korean, Hispanic, etc. If people prefer to be with those who resemble themselves--which seems to be the way God wired us--somehow, in the minds of SJWs such as David Platt and Tim Keller, it's always a sin that's whitey's fault even if blacks prefer to be with blacks and Chinese prefer to be with Chinese (and look at the way non-whites vote). I'm still waiting for guiltmongers Platt and Keller to take their expressed views to the point of turning over their pastorates to non-whites.

Actually there is no interest whatsoever with the evangelical Left in upbraiding blacks or Koreans, etc, for having churches "lacking in diversity", only in using diversity as a club to bludgeon whites despite their churches having the greatest diversity. As it's said, if it weren't for double standards Democrats would have no standards at all. David Platt and other woke preachers are pretending to be sociologists who can be trusted when in reality they are totally incompetent in that realm, and they are reading from the scripts provided by Marxist liars.

Again great show as always, I remember when Platt made this statement but never really put much stock in it when he said it. But just on the heals of Matthew Hall Platt is saying he is a bigot. He accusing everyone at that conference including himself of being a bigot. Last I recall this requires that Platt step down as a pastor and go into church discipline. I have noticed he did not, he didn’t even suggest it or entertain going into church discipline. At best Platt is unqualified, he really needs to resign and step down.

It would help if he could break Platt's words down correctly, tho. There were a couple times he made mistakes that *then* just became an APPARENT misunderstanding (even tho his mistakes were innocent, it did show where his bias leans.) Remember when he was quoting Platt about ethnic diversity? He showed a quote on screen that had the actual phrase "ethnic diversity" in it, (in the 25-30 min range) & then proceeded to explain that phrase as if the sentence had a comma before the phrase "ethnic diversity" changing it's meaning COMPLETELY... then went on & on about this, when he was misunderstanding it the whole entire time. It's nothing but simple grammar. (& you need to to know where it matters & where you can slide. He doesn't.) We all make mistakes, but jeeesh. It IS incumbent upon him to have the critic in question correct. Especially, if he is gonna go on & on about it. Idk enough about Platt. I just know that this was an absolutely horrible analysis. This RU-vid preache may be great. Idk him, either. I'll give him another shot to be fair. But, I was not impressed w/ his breakdown or biblical analysis. I prefer more scripture reference w/ context. I guess I'm old school. I like my preachers to arm me w/ the scripture. & you don't have to be a preacher to critique a preacher, either. But, you must have scripture & context. W/out those components, your critique is more like... "just your opinion, man." ~ The Dude from Big Libowski

It is dangerous to just listen to a pastor online. It is important to see them face to face. Not saying all pastor-teachers we listen to are false, but this is a warning. I had listened to platt from 2017, i was looking for an online church that can help me as I was in a season of removing myself from prosperity gospel church, I was a listener of furtick. 🤦🏻‍♀️, i stumbled upon platt’s old videos, his way of delivering his messages caught my eyes. The early ones were solid. I am in canada, no way to see platt in person, neither talk. Throughout the process of removing myself from my old church i also came across, Jmac, VB, Washer, sproul, etc. reliable more solid Christian doctrine. this was a helpful venue for me to stop listening to platt for awhile. Secret Church 2020, i decided to watch it. IT WAS A WAKE UP CALL for me, what happened to platt? It was full of CRT. Thats when I have to stop listening from them. And realized I cannot play along the games of “i can watch online church” - it just fools my thinking. I need a real physical church. That I see my pastor. And know the people in it. I now found a home church. A humble, and I pray that it remains faithful to the Word of God. All I am saying is, an online teacher/pastor, can help you in seasons of your life, BUT they are not your local, physical church. Jmac dont know me. Washer dont know me. Thank God, He leads me to the right path and protects me. We ought to pray for our pastors. We ought to pray that they may remain humble and faithful to God’s Word. Pray for the people of MBC and the people it reaches online. We all need to pray for the universal church. And also our local church. Thank you Jon for these commentaries. It is very helpful.

Here is the thing, in context, in what the apostle Paul would consider one would be a false teacher, David would not be a false teacher but moreso an incomplete or blindsided one. False really implies much more insidious perspective and really he doesn't fall into that category.

David Platt was off the rails a LONG time ago when his book Radical came out. It was essentially the inverse of the prosperity gospel, like John Piper and Francis Chan have both advocated for as well (the "poverty gospel," which I believe either this channel or a Lutheran channel I listened to coined). When I first read excerpts from the book, I was very much biblically put off by it. He really should have been cut off from confessional evangelicalism quite some time ago. The problem is that evangelicalism is almost as bad (maybe AS bad) in the world in the "cult of personality" venue. We have our celebrities, and we turn them into infallible repositories of divine truth. To be honest, the Christian media machine may have been one of the WORST productions that American evangelicalism has ever put forth.

There is NO true justice on this earth nor can there be - the only justice & justification we can walk in & live by, is in Christ. Mans attempts to redeem himself and 'act' justly, is just that, an act, a work, a demonstration in the flesh. The flesh profits nothing. John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. My question to DP is, when did the Gospel of Salvation in Christ become about ANYTHING we do to influence culture & aim to convince people to behave in a certain way?? It is mankind's refusal to humble himself before God & walk in HIS ways & HIS righteousness, that brings this world to this sorry state we find ourselves in. Mankind's self-righteousness ie righteous acts without God's spirit, paves just another of the many paths that lead to an eternity in hell. Micah 6:8 says - 8 He hath shown thee, O man, what is good: and what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.

Brethren, Beloved of the LORD JESUS CHRIST grace and mercy be with us all. The Bible tells us that we should love one another. Let's test our own spirit. Are we judging our fellow brother based on our own understanding or based on the influence of others who dislike him and the message. If you think and truly believe with your heart that he's mistaken and did wrong, are you not supposed to correct him in meekness. Counting him not as our enemy less we too fall into the same mistake. 1 John 5 :1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2.By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3.For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Brethren, many of us reacted toward him grievously. I've read some comments also from other videos that he is not welcome to their church to preach. He's beeing called grievously. Have you ever seek GOD'S guidance concerning your reaction or are you reacting emotionally. Beware, when you judge. As the Bible said, we're all will stand before the righteous Judge and this very thing might be seen in you. Peace!

The infuriating thing is that the disparities he cites, many of them are either caused by government actions, or cultural. As an example, income and poverty for low income blacks, of course it is hard for blacks born into the welfare system to escape it, and to lead to multiple generations of welfare (it’s hard for any race). it isn’t racism, it’s the design of the system where the government’s main goal is to provide economic aid, and do so in a way where it diminishes the incentive to work because you lose all of those benefits when you work and save. try getting out of that trap. Yet, it is 16 year old single mothers making the initial decision to get on the short-term train with no thought of what the long-term consequences are. 10-15 years later they are stuck and trapped-that isn’t racism you blundering fool! disparities don’t equal racism or sin. there is no God given law of equal outcomes. what a fool.

This country has been built on white men rule. Most of the world was built on it. Seems like the only ones who can't see it are white men, why are white men the main ones disagreeing on critical race theory? Afraid of losing control? Didn't Jesus tell me to see other people as more important than myself? On the other hand, I believe there are pastors are who are going too far in the direction of CRT, and not focusing on the gospel which actually teaches us how to love each other. There are huge mistakes being made in both races, white and black and probably all the races in between. Stop making the church political and make it spiritual. Jesus said to love our neighbor and I don't think he meant the person living on each side of me. And for those who think David Platt is not authentic, check out his life! How many people do you know who are selling their big house to buy a smaller one so they have more money to give to missions?
