Yea it's actually pretty embarrassing to swear your product is 100% and then find about 1000 people wanting to sue him for false advertising and scamming
Yep, there’s a class action lawsuit being invoked. And the thing is this shit works. Remember, when Nintendo had joy cons that drifted constantly? There was a class action lawsuit over that and ever since I’ve had my OLED switch, I haven’t had to buy a pair of joy cons since. Except for DK oldies, they probably won’t have the money to fight that shit or settle with everybody. It can, and probably will kill their business.
@@invertedxxxi at that point I'm worried about their inventory and what will happen to it, they literally hoard this shit. Will they junk a lot of the consoles? That's a lot of history and I'm afraid they'll just burn it in retaliation.
It's not a scam, bad deals? Yes, a scam? No. If they gave you the wrong consoles, or broken consoles, fake games, then yes that'd be a scam but they don't do that :I
@@avokaydo1418 no. Selling a console ( or game) listed as refurbished when it's that dirty is 100% a scam because you are selling something that is not how it is advertised. That would be the same as if I were selling you a 3080 but in the box was a 2080
@@LokasennaCole hm that's true, I kinda get why they don't like refurbish all of them tbh but I still think they should change it or something so it doesn't say refurbished, or change it to working but not not always super clean idk lol
@@blasphemedhereticthere’s a class action lawsuit but the lawyers are only hoping dk oldies settles as it won’t go far in court and the lawyers will drop the case if negotiations don’t go well since it’s really a risky case
@@ffflymedia have you not see Jacob R and ReviewTechUSA reviews on each of their consoles, they recently changed the price a little lower, clean most of it (Rich of RTUSA N64 was in good condition), and said that the sticker was proof of purchase when it's a void warranty sticker, just for damage control, it's way too late now, Treehouse Law Firm are going to sue them and have the unbent knee broken, would have been the FTC to sue DKOldies to Oblivion
@Samuel Hyde The jumper is needed for the console to work. The one you're referring to is the memory expansion pack, the one needed to play DK64 and Majoras Mask.
I mean yeah but theres no indication that he didnt have a jumper installed. He clearly removed the cover for it and possibly the jumper to get the console open, but thats all we can take from this video.
@StarlingKnight Banjo-Kazooie doesn't require the expansion pak. The only games that need it in order to play are DK64, Majora's Mask, and the single player campaign in Perfect Dark.
Personally I don’t believe it. Like we don’t know if ur staging this or not, so I can’t get behind the hate tbh. Plus why r so mad at paying 100 dollars for a console my guy, the ps5 is 500, the switch is 350, pc’s r like over 1k, like 100 is not that bad.
Fishing for views..... the listing says it's in acceptable condition. It wasn't that bad when you opened it up. Pretty sure it probably worked had you given a couple tries.
Notice how he bought the acceptable condition model and notice that he doesn't mention once in the video rather or not he spoke to their customer service regarding the unit not being in working condition.
Fun fact: they are not scamming. The company has been around since like 2002 or so. Why is this important? Well... they wouldve been shut down a LONG time ago if they were scamming, which proves dkoldies is not scamming.
It's crazy to me, considering pre-covid my wife and I bought an N64 from our local gamestore for $60. It included the system, expansion pack, and two controllers, as well as all cables...
At this point if you could scammed by dkoldies you deserve it. There's more than enough videos out there warning you not to buy from them. Let's be honest you already knew that, you just did it for the content. People are now buying from dkoldies dkoldies just so they can make a video complaining about it LOL.
You're trying to turn it on without a Jumper Pak or Expansion Pak. That's your problem. Dust doesn't matter and these consoles are basically bulletproof.
No wonder they didn't even clean it completely from the inside because something tells me the employees at Dkoldies were pretty much too lazy to do their job correctly and I could tell why that Nintendo 64 hasn't been clean since 1996
$89USD for a refurbished N64? Holy fkn sht. They inflated their prices as they think theyre RU-vidrs now. My man, I can get you a perfectly refurbished N64 here in México for like, 45USD aprox.
I got my N64 from this classic game store 15 minutes from my house. Works perfectly and didn’t pay that much either. Definitely will be going back to them.
Well I have to ask was it listed as refurbished. Because in the picture you show of the invoice all it says is N64 console only. And it just gets me to thinking that maybe you just bought a console not necessarily a refurbished one. Well hold on now update, I correct my statement I actually looked on their website and even though the price is raised $10 to 99.99 it does state that it's refurbished. I don't know but it makes me wonder what refurbished means to them, I mean does that mean they plug it in and turn it on and it works so therefore it's refurbished.
Uh...no jumper pak installed? I think that might be your problem. Im asking cuz we never saw you removing it .And if its not doing anything thats the first thing you gotta check
Bought a GameCube from them, sent it to a guy for modding and the guy said it was missing half the screws and had broken plastic in it. All of which he was able to fix. Won’t ever buy from them again.
I gave them multiple chances and they let me down every time. Even my LOTR order they filmed showed up with missing manuals and in DVD cases. Not even repro ps2 cases that you can get in the thousands for super cheap.
Except you didnt buy a refurbished console. You bought unrefurbished. It shows it on the receipt "acceptable" im all for the DK hate but lets not lie just to make it worse
Honestly I've been seeing a lot of these types of videos recently, and I've only ever bought one game from them on the DS and had a pretty good experience overall. But I guess now I know to never buy a console from them.
