I've seen behind the scenes video. Some shots take over 100 tries. Very few are done on the first try.

Dude Perfect is 100% real, no doubt about it. They don’t always get their trick shots of the first try (obviously) unless you count Cody’s blindfolded shot. But they do make it.

They also are doing the pound it noggin tour, they do trick shots on that tour. That’s what makes Dude Perfect real. Like if you agree.

Because in their guiness world records video when cody attempted a blindfolded bball shot for the longest blinded shot.Clearly when he made it everyone was in shock because he got it in first try.Not only thatt but dude perfect have clearly hinted that it takes many tries to hit a specific trickshot. When they have dangerous shots maybe thats why it takes them a while to upload vids. Maybe casualties happen because trickshoting can be trial and error and is difficult to get on the first try. So what im saying is the trickshots are real but may not all be first take.

Here are some calculations on making difficult basketball shots. In the NBA, the chance of making a free throw @ 15 feet is about .75. The chance of making a 3 point shot @ 23.75 feet is about .40. The chance of making a shot from half court @ 47 feet is around .01 to .02. Doing some curve fitting, the numbers show that shots are half as likely to be made with every 8 foot increase in distance from the goal. Using that equation, and starting with the given chance of making a foul shot, the chance of making a 3 point shot would be .375, and the chance of making a half court shot would be .047. The numbers are reasonably close to reality. If anything, the actual chance of making a long shot is less than this calculation. With the chance of making a shot being cut in half for every increase in distance of 8 feet, the chance of making a shot from the distance of the court (94 feet) is less than .0008. That means 1200 shots would have to be taken to make one. Say Dude Perfect could get off a shot every 30 seconds. It would take them 10 hours on average to make one full court shot. For distances longer than that, it would take days, months, years, etc. So is it more likely that they are thousands of shots, or is it more likely they are spending an hour or two doing some nice video special effects? And do not tell me that special effects that good would be impossible. I just saw a movie with a talking racoon that could fight aliens, and that looked pretty darn real.

Dude Perfect is 100 percent real but in there official documentary they said that they never get it on the first try and the editors on the editor version 2 even said its better to make it real then make it fake, they even demonstrated it.

Great video! Also, as for the skyscraper shot, its likely that the terminal velocity of the ball didn't allow it to go fast enough to do major damage.
