Accel is better let me explain(btw pls pin this comment so everyone knows): Because of new mercenary base accels max dps with support has increased to 448.2071712143 while engineers is just a bit high of a dps of 472.1024924012 However if u see 8 accel dps and comare with 6 engineer dps 6 engi:2832dps 8 accel:3585dps So accel is better
the easiest way to get the engineer is finding 2 other pros to memorize a hardcore strat and spam win until you have enough (literally how i got it before the engineer tower came out)
@@zk-vd6uy strat just ruin the fun of the game, do you really have fun following order like a robot. The feeling of accomplishment after beating the impossible by making a strategy of your own after doing so many attempt feels way better then just completing task that is just told. But, you do you my guy im just tryna have fun at the game.
I just got engi a couple weeks ago and I can't say I was very impressed. For almost a year of grinding and the pain sweat and tears that went into that 4500 gems was not worth the outcome. I was relieved the grind was over, but its not much better than accel honestly.
how it take you a year? did you like do one hardcore game a day or were you using the worst hardcore strat possible? it should only take 15 hours if your using an efficient strat that gets 300 gems/hr
Ok it's a great tower but for early waves it really struggles. Which means that the first one to three upgrades are not that great. But once it starts getting more upgrades it becomes decent.
@@Hagollowbro is probably bs-ing us. I mean it’s possible but I wouldn’t recommend it. Just take your time, you can get it within a week if you win 3 games everyday. Explanation Below: Lucille strat: 600 gems per hour 4500/600 = 7.5 hours. But wait,, If you were a normal human being you would realised that 600 gems per hour is only if you skip all waves, and the likelihood of finding people to play for 8 hours straight who are willing to skip all waves is very little. And by adding logical statistics we get: 1~3 Hours wait time (for maps and looking for teammates) (Considering each run takes 40 minutes. ie, 450 gems per hour) 4500/450 = 10 Hours Breaks in between (for food, bathroom, etc) = 1~2 Hours Finally it would take 12-15 hours to get engi in one day. So if you sacrifice your sleep, never touch grass, continuously rot your brain non stop for an entire day in front of your device, you can destroy your eye retina and fatigue your body to eventually get engineer.
the thing that makes accel better than engi is the fact engi’s main source of DPS (turrets) don’t get affected my commander. once you bring commander, it’s all over for engi.
Ok so, a few things 1. It's not a shotgun, it's a rebar launcher (which is pretty much a rifle). 2. Engineer does not have the insane DPS that person calculated, it has at most around 350 DPS if all 3 sentries and the engineer herself is firing at the same target. Plus, the way enemies spawn, you aren't gonna get super clumped up groups of them outside of breakers. 3. The grind for engi is not that bad. She costs 4500 gems, and you get 300 per HC game. If you play (and win) two hardcore games a day, you'll get her in about a week.
I mean I'd rather laze around instead of doing the same monotonous task for hours on end to be honest. Winning hardcore games is fine and all but finding the right people costs more time in my experience. Still nice comment lul
@@clen9329 yeah, that’s kind of a flaw with HC imo. It’s easy if you have a strategy, but impossible without one, and finding people capable of following one can be difficult if you aren’t in the TDS discord server (and even then, it can be kind of a gamble)
(lvl 6 engineer status) i calculated it and sentry has 120 dps every 1.2 seconds, so 3 sentry + engineer its like 405 dps, or even 450 if we count that engineer can do 90 dmg every 1.6 seconds. I dont think that need exactly 1 second
Currently grinding for necromancer. Trying to get at least 300 gems a day so I don't lose my sanity. And I still have these things called OTHER PRIORITIES.
Hear me out, i got it the day it came out as i had enough gem's for the sole reason that i knew and i still know that some time in the future it will get some crazy buff
I mean, if you want it, just do it, Wether youre suicide running or beating hc with a group of friends, But id you dont want the work youre not gonna miss it, Its a great tower (dont spend robux to buy it)

Meh bruh i have a duo strategy for hardcore with my friend we made up. It ends in about 25-30 minutes which makes 600-650 gems a hour and i just got it in grinding 1 day straight with little breaks. I'd say it was still painful to do but indeed its engineer and it's literally worth it believe me. Just find people to do strategies to do instead of suicide running(playing solo to failure non stop) and it will be alot easier.
Hardcore is probably the only actual good gamemode the others are either too rng or too easy. Meanwhile hardcore is a challenging yet fair gamemode. Gems do not have any other use and i doubt they will for a while since the devs are recently only adding some skins just get engi stack your gems up and get ready for the next big update
Since now tds have the Restart button update, i can afk grind by just placing a damn autoclicker on the Restart/Ready/Skip button and leave it there until one day that shit gave me like 2k gems per day/24h and im already half way to engineer
IMO not worth it right now. The nerf makes it considerably worse than alternatives at almost everything now, and it acts as basically just an extra slot filler when you want some more damage in pw2 or something. It can kind of hold its ground in early game but many things do much better than it which are easier to get and because supports dont boost the sentry its late game dps isnt as powerful as you'd think.
They shouldn't nerf engineer cus it wouldn't be worth it too grind for and they wouldn't buff it cus it will be too op + the current engineer is already balanced enough.
@@darkness16254 So? Even if accelerator is better, engineer is still worth buying. It doesn't change anything at all. What do you mean by Engineer's Jack of All Trades not making sense outside of solo hardcore? She's honestly GOOD at early game in every gamemode except badlands II in solos and duos. In trio and quads, her early game differs.

i first grinded for the accelerator and then did some strategies in order to win and make the game more fun than just losing all the time at wave 22 or more
I just find it worth getting because I could just flat out make the TF2 loadout whenever I feel like it. I paired accel and engineer together and the DPS was enough to call it a one man army as engineer played the role of gunning support killing mostly the lesser enemies and accelerator slaying walls/bosses. But of course, this just from someone who doesn't really tries to beat hardcore and mostly plays regular matches for the fun of it. Oh right the hiddens, just bring a minigunner or turret with you if you want a role for special enemy clearing. As for flying, there is ranger/ace pilot always waiting. Just utilize engineer on ground control for ordinary enemies incase swarms are affecting accelerator's performance.
TLDR: Accel is rng based, engi is more reliable. Engi better for long grinds. I grinded for engi and accel solo, it boosted my level from 140 to 247, that’s a very good thing lmao, the engineer itself is not better than accel but it is a lot more reliable, so accel chooses an enemy and locks onto it until it dies, letting everything else past, but engi doesn’t have this problem. Since the update that made the sentries not instantly die when stunned, I would say that engi is less rng dependant so for longer grinds that you’ll spend most of the time afk for, it’s better, but, accel can make you lose due to bad targeting.
And as always another cool video Fun fact: Engineers dps is mostly sentry bc of the sentry having 100dps whilst the engineer itself does only ''55'' dps so all in all engineer isnt much worth it and just stick with accel (Unless you wanna be that guy that has all the towers)
spenting like 50 hours of you life grinding for a tower is crazy if you think about it and that 50 hours you could use that to do bd run In scptrl and it more worth it cuz hm 100K DPS if you include boost From other ops lol
it's a diferent gun not a shotgun(i think the engineer shoots a iron rod because it looks like one). and it's weird how the upgrades after level 3 focus more on the sentry and not the engineer but oh well that's how it works.
Task ? Bruh i havent done shi but i have accel necromancer and about to get engenieer i just sleep with an autoclicker spaming the restart and skip buton and i get the gems i evrn went from level 89 to 168 in like 3 days
tbh i play world tower defense and engineer in the game is literally a starter unit and its a pretty good unit, can be better than tds engineer by price, work to get and dmg... its so stupid tds nerfing engineer
I have engi since ducky event and tbh im avoiding to use it, its overatimated tower, i really dont see anything else usefull in it else then just for hc/event strats or just to flex it on people. ( i didnt bought it for bobux, yet i had no sweat to farm it cuz i have friends to win hc multiple times)
