Is ENSHROUDED As Good As VALHEIM? | Survival, Base Builder Action RPG | First Look 

Thanks for taking a look at enshrouded. Although it feels a bit weird to see you playing a game without Conveyer belts :D

Played 12 hours this weekend. It's really good. So many qol features over valheim. Handcrafted world. Hancrafted quests. love it.Edit: Also the looks and performance are insane!

Something about how a lot of games don't let you put foundations nice and low to the ground really bugs me, this game lets you get nice and low and terraforms a bit to get it actually on the ground, which I REALLY like about the building.

Thanks for the video :) Some tips for others: 3:00 missed a chest (that you did find on stream), if you want to avoid farming for plant fiber, build your first main building roof with flint, which you can get very early. If you want to fight the first boss without cheesing, explore some of the optional quests/markers first so you can level up your gear a bit, don't try to block but dodge instead.

I think its pretty good, to me it feels more like Elden Ring with building rather than Valheim. World is very diverse and quite unique for such a large map.

Great game so far. Don't eat 3 food for buffs if you are going to carry berries to heal. Always carry a weapon specifically to smash boxes for looting, I use a big 2h axe. Always carry 2 main weapons, I carry a blunt and slashing, because they degrade very fast. Also the wand always hits but it's fairly short ranged. It's great for kiting backwards but once you get past the start it will do lower damage then other weapons because it costs no mana or charges.

I'm a big fan of this game and have appreciated watching you play on Twitch. I'd love some more YT videos if it's in the cards.

You'll drop items from your backpack and leave a burial spot. Return to where you died to retrieve your dropped items. Not all quests should be worked when you get them. Some of them should be delayed; To give yourself some time to level up or get better gear. I melee'd that shroud guardian in about 15 seconds. He hit me three times for less than 50% health damage. No need to cheese it.

With the npc quest givers , a glider, and the fact that you don't lose everything at the spot you die on , I'd give it a slightly higher score than Valheim . BOTH are really fun and unforgiving games in their own right, the glider makes Enshrouded alot more fun

Hello Nilaus! used to watch your valheim content DAILY lmao, watched your home and stone series both uncut twitch streams and edited youtube version lol. Same thing with your Mistland series and i have been coming back hoping you will upload more valheim but nothing yet, im expecting you to do an ashland series. 😅

World feels pretty shallow and empty at the moment, but the game has a strong foundation for future updates

Enshrouded reminds me alittle bit of Conan Exiles. I don't know why but it reminds me of it. Maybe it's in the building with how you have to craft a hammer and you can get a blacksmith to make better gear for you except this time it's not by force.

I have heard quite a few youtubers say that this has been their most enjoyable RPG experience, I have high hopes for this game for sure

You can 100% fight the Fel Thunderbrute in melee. It's all about timing dodging his attacks (there are only two if I recall correctly). It's a good fight for learning the dodging mechanics early in the game.

In some ways it's the same as Valheim in the overall style of the game. However, unlike Valheim, it is fun to explore in Enshrouded. The handcrafted world means there is actually interesting and unique things to discover. Valheim's replay value is really not wrapped up in the procedurally generated world, because it's all the same, just moved around. There is no interesting exploration in Valheim after a short bit, it's more "Where are the resource nodes I need located". However, the building in Valheim is better. Trying to get a good roofline in Enshrouded, painful.

Considering the level of factory automation that you can get into are you going to have a let's play of pal world

His graphics are clear. Mine have a bloom like feel to the whole environment I don’t really like. I wonder what settings he has different from mine. If you don’t mind showing your in game settings and if there was anything else you didn’t make it look crisper.

I love valheim and enshrouded. They feel very different to me. Enshrouded is more breath of the wild and more questing to me. Valheim invites you to linger and establish ..colors are richer. I love them both.

You could have had a Hatchet before you fought those first mobs, if you explored a little.

For me, i couldnt get over the combat mechanics. Pointless being an archer or mage as everything rushes you down. Then your back to melee combat and i've never been a fan of this style of combat, so for me the melee was just a deal breaker. Im not gonna go as far to say its bad, but its definitely not for me.

Nah you know... I saw a fanboy earlier today comparing the playerbase of Valheim now to Enshrouded now as if Valheim didn't release 3 years ago... Claiming Valheim was dead as if Enshrouded will still be big in 3 years -.- I like Enshrouded but I don't see this game alive unless they keep up content because the replay value is dooooown bad... The world is beautiful... But it's 1 handcrafted world so it will be the same each time. The quests will stay the same every time and items/content is locked behind those quests (and levels...?) He tried to say that Valheim had restrictions... as if you can't do anything without killing bosses. Yes you can, it's just difficult. But you can't kill the last boss in Enshrouded with tamed wolves, can you... And yes, building caves is awesome but atleast Valheim can build diagonally and round shapes... Ohh did I mention Valheim is 1/3 the price and it's file size is 20x smaller?

Makes me recoil when the first thing you see in the world is a set of stone 'arches' that should fall over. I immediately miss Valheim physics.

Some friends of mine have been trying to convince me to join them, all the while the server they're playing on crashes about every 30 minutes. Games to be somewhat solid before I'm going to touch them. It seems multi-player in Enshrouded is kind of a mess.

It's sort of sad that we're in 2024 and people are still making monster AI with really harsh tethers allowing you to cheese fights like that. IF you think about Valheim, if that was a brute or troll or whatenver they wouldn't stop and turn back until they had pounded you into the ground.

Way better than Valheim. 50 hours played so far and the game has so much more going for it compared to Valheim. Not even close to as much of a grind for resource gathering. The handcrafted world has tons of interesting locations and secrets to explore. Itemization and builds are way better than Valheim. And I love the huge amount of quests that never leave you wondering what to do next.

A lot of the component parts of enshrouded are better but the sum of valheims parts seem greater than the sum of enshroudeds

Dude, I totally suck at combat and I beat the Fell Thunderbrute first try. 😂 You have to learn how to roll to dodge. Just do some damage, then roll out of the way. Rinse and repeat.

it's cool I guess, but the UI is a fucking mess; the top indicator with the NWSE doesn't really need to be there, and the objective indicator could be hidden as well, if the player wants to check it, it can live in a menu of its own

Lowkey, i think Enshrouded has SO MUCH more to offer than valheim.

I feel as tho the cutting tree dynamics is a downgrade compared to Valheim. There was a whole strategy to cutting down trees on Valheim: Where to stand so you dont get crushed, you could use one tree to take down many others and the physics dynamic was superior to this game as well.

but is it as good as palworld!? My 9 year old and I have been playing it for HOURS

Not quite as good as Valheim, but pretty good.

This gane is good , but unfortunately, the bosses and simple enemies don't put up a challenging fight . It's way too easy , especially when you have learned nost of the game .Valheim is better in challenging the player in combat.

i like enshrouded more than palworld.

Im not sure I would describe Valheim as "good". Its buggy, tedious and the lighting in the mistlands gives me migraines.
