I would have gone with the mini lite coming from a mevo plus until i started seeing all the spin axis issues. Part of wanting to upgrade it was to get better accuracy then the mevo indoors. I assume they will improve it over time but didnt want to risk that on faith. For that reason i went BLP for $2800 with the golfers journal discount. If bushnell could get their subscription to 200 or less, or none, it would dominate this price range imo.
I’ve seen the video about the spin axis issues but I play with a bunch of guys who have the mini and they absolutely do not have those issues at all. Will be interesting to see if it’s as widespread as these videos are making it seem or maybe it’s just a bad unit. Uneekor will figure it out. Once thing about them is they are putting tons of time and money into their products. Can’t say the same for all LM companies.
Yes sir I use it about 3 times a week 1000 times better than the rapsodo. I love how from turning on the machine to swinging a club takes less than 5 min. And the accuracy is really good, I would say it is within 5 yards of what I actually hit in real life. I’m a single digit hcp so I know my distances decently well. For the price there’s nothing out there that can compete 👍🏼
@@friendly_golfer Can you help with a dispute? I was told by some who sells the Mini Lite that it works with WiFi and possibly Bluetooth but I also heard it needs to be connected directly to an Ethernet cable. Can you confirm on way or the other. Thanks
Seems like the main reason for Skytrak would be the club data, specifically the angle to path (face angle). So far I am not seeing any other camera based systems under 10k that offer it
That is true. I have heard that skytrak does not actually measure most of the club data though. It's basically calculated from other data that it does measure.
Consider adding Rapsodo in this category of best LMs for 2024? Though disconnect issues remain a problem, especially for those with the older units, the ball data is really good and you can use the LM to play GS Pro and lefties or righties can use it without having to switch the LM's location. I'm considering switching from the Rapsodo to the Eye Mini Lite but one reason I hesitate is having to move the Eye Mini so that lefties can play. If Rapsodo customer support were better and the disconnect issues were resolved, I don't think I'd be considering a different unit. It seems like the wifi and bluetooth antenna in the older Rapsodo units have a really weak signal, hence all the issues that they always blame on the consumer.
I don’t have any experience with the Rapsodo so I can’t really comment. My thought with the video was more just that I think the Eye Mini Lite is going to be the new hot seller for this year (especially in its category) not that it’s the absolute best if that makes sense. If it were me I wouldn’t worry about lefties unless they were a family member… Otherwise they can build their own simulator lol.
Iv got mine on pre order but don't come out till mid April in the uk Iv seen a few problems about spin axis bias tho n have been debating canceling if it doesn't get sorted
Wonder if you could rig up a power supply to work with it on the range and bring a laptop. I’ve seen people do similar with pellet grills and stuff that need to be plugged in. Although I would guess that 99% of people that own the eye mini probably never take that to the range anyway so the lite version would be used similar.
Im seriously torn between the Eye mini Lite and the Bushnell launch pro. The $750 a year for the launch pro (and gspro as I hear the software included with the $500 is trash) is scaring me away, is it worth it or would you say the software included with the $200 Eye mini lite is good enough?
In my opinion you would want GSPro either way. Calling FSX software trash is an exaggeration. I've got videos on my channel of FSX Pro, FSX 2020, and FSX Play and even though there are flaws (especially with Play) there's still a lot that you can do with it. When it comes to simulation, GSPro is just more of a complete software for gameplay and more fun in a lot of ways. So the total subscription difference including gspro is $300 + the difference in the hardware. So if you don't want portability and you think you're good with primarily using GSPro you can save some decent money. If I had to pick one that was most accurate I would say the BLP but the difference would be pretty minimal. It's really dependent on what each person's priorities are but hopefully that helps some. Every launch monitor is going to have some slight differences. I think both are very accurate but BLP/Foresight is probably the most trusted for accuracy. It’s tried and true. Eye Mini still feels like they are tweaking things after the first year of release (sidespin) but it’s probably the next most reliable. For some reason the putting speed is about 1mph difference between the two with uneekor being faster. Don’t know which is more accurate there. I would say yes. There hasn't been a firmware update yet. I filmed a comparison video today and it looks like sidespin is exaggerated in some cases but it's not completely consistent so its hard to tell what could be going on. Hopefully that video will be up in a day or two.
The Eye Mini Lite will stink for righties and lefty play. Even using cordless units for lefties and righties is crappy. Adding 2 cords makes no sense. Good luck to those folks with righties and lefty play.
