Fats are great for you when it’s quality fat and eaten with protein and carbs. I feel and look so much better when I get more fat in my diet! Plus, fats are really really really important for balancing hormones, especially for women! :)
there is consistent research supporting that people with higher measures of trait neuroticism experiences significantly more negative emotion in response to calorie deficits, especially low-protein deficits. negative emotion being anxiety, stress, noxious discomfort, pain, and all the cascade emotions that individuals feel in response such as anger, sadness, urgency/mania, claustrophobia. This is all in the wheelhouse of typically well known behaviours like hangry, stress-eating, binge eating etc. measuring this from the dietary side would be very difficult (assuming your counting accurate at all) so if you want to look into this further consider measuring yourself on a big-5 personality distribution. You may find you are high in traits extroversion and neuroticism, which would explain mood sensitivity to diet nicely
I’ve done so many diets throughout my life and came to conclusion that I now eat what I feel like. I learned to listen closely, not my thoughts, because they’re manipulated, no feel into my body and feel, what I really want to eat, I’m still overweight and still have depressions bim at least I don’t have that eating problem anymore 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im doing keto rn and I had the same issue with "diet" breads. I just cut out bread all together because that was less depressing than eating those teeny slices.
If you only eat when hungry, eat what you want. I would think enjoying yummy foods and not counting calories is living happy. Unless someone has diabetes or something.
