The Flaming O review is spot on! I'm looking forward to Pinky's and Havana. Bugsy & Meyers was sooo good too. The location is good and the casino can be fun. Rooms are hit and miss but overall it's a great budget-friendly option 🦩

Great Video Melissa & Enrique. Our last trip to Vegas we stayed at the LInq partly based on your tour & review there. Many thanks for that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We will be trying a different property on each trip from now on just to see and have different experiences. We both love your channel. Keep up the great reviews. Thanks Melissa and Enrique! I've stayed at Flamingo several times but that was about 12 years ago. It was okay, I liked the pools, and watching the flamingos. It seems like some big changes have been made since then!
Fabulous review amiga. All good points. I've stayed there plenty of times and I love the huge floor to ceiling windows that the strip view rooms have. The casino is decent, but I haven't stayed there lately because of the "cucarachas" that were reported in the Charlie's Cantina and around the area. Fuchi!! 😱😱😱
I steer clear of that restaurant. It’s literally Tostitos chips and salsa and feels like they just microwave the tortillas for tacos 😂 no bueno so even if no cucarachas, I won’t go back.
Great video, stayed at the flamingo a few years ago and loved it. Planning on going back later in the year for the marathon. Does simply asking for a room upgrade often work? I'm tempted to try it when I check in.
We stayed at the Flamingo. LOVED it! My favorite place mainly because it still has some of that old charm that the resorts are lacking. I also like the Bugsy Segal background. The pool is awesome. BTW I just watched your video of Miami Beach from 8 months ago. Wow Melissa you have lost weight with all that walking you are doing.
Great video! I was always curious about the other towers and what they were like since I always insisted on the renovated tower when I stayed. My experience was good one time, and then kind of a marginal room the second time. I liked the casino, it wasn't so giant as other properties. It's right in the middle of the strip, so a good location for strip exploration. I'm glad that the Kiosks aren't as "required" as they used to be because that always felt kind of cheap. I did enjoy the dining, and also the Linq alley was very convenient (Starbucks!).
I went two years ago with my wife, and I think the location is perfect. It feels like you're in the middle and it's easier to get around to places. For food, we mostly went to the promenade or the Linq (and nearby). Our biggest gripes were: definitely check in. That was an extremely frustrating experience. At that time, the Flamingo was adamant on the kiosks. We had gotten there 4 hours early, too, but we ended up just checking in a 4pm due to the experience (plus, being offered an upgrade, but then not having the room that was offered in the same breath) and we ended up being checked in by a clerk anyway since the kiosks were horrible. Also, the flamingos were not out when we went, though it was funny seeing turtles and ducks battle it out over a rock island lol The pool experience? We got scolded at by a Go Pool guard when we trying to find the Beach Club pool (we asked at to Go Pool). He was extremely rude. Beach Club pool, I loved. It was heated from what I could tell. My wife did not like this pool. When we stayed at the Luxor for a day, we both greatly enjoyed that one. I personally thought the stay was alright, but my wife doesn't want to stay there ever again lol I got the room for a 5 night stay for really cheap during a Caesars semi annual sale, so I can't really complain there! We're going to Vegas next month, so looking forward to it!
No! It’s still intact, but sort of hidden in back of the sports bar area. Haven’t heard a peep about what they’ll do with that space. Being by the habitat, could have potential
I love how this review breaks down the pros and cons of Flamingo without breaking the bank. It’s like finding a diamond in the rough! If you could upgrade one thing about the hotel, what would it be?
I’d say they need to get Carlos and Charlie’s out and add something better! But, for the price, I’d say it’s good as is! They still need some updates to rooms, but I think they cycle through every few years.
I love staying at the Flamingo! My parents stayed at the Flamingo in 1957 when I was 3 and my sister was 5. I don't remember it though of course. I do remember our stay there in 1962 when I was 8 and again in 1966 when I was 12. I remember asking my dad why they were building Caesar's Palace in the middle of nowhere, even though the Flamingo was quite close by. They were just putting the finishing touches on Caesar's Palace. I was an Allstate agent for 30 years and we always had our semi-annual business conferences at the Flamingo. My office was in Utah where I still live. I became a single parent with 4 kids when they ranged in age from 12 to 2 years old. Going to work each day was a relief, lol. When we had our conferences in the Flamingo, I would always book a room at the Sahara two days in advance because the rooms were unbelievably cheap and they had a great Mexican restaurant there. I'd just relax, watch TV, walk the strip, drink a lot of beer and then attend the conference at the Flamingo, which was always just a one night stay. That was my usual semi-annual vacation from being a single parent. My mom was always good enough to stay with the kids. I will be spending a few nights at the Flamingo in May and I can't wait. My kids are all grown now and successfully on their own. The Flamingo will always have a special place in my heart because of the memories I have of staying there with my parents and as a business man!

I have stayed a few times, especially when I take my doggies with me since they are pet friendly. Never had any issues. It was a little warn, but we were not in the room much.
Yeah, they’re good about the pet stays so it’s a good option for that. I think my Zoey wouldn’t handle being in the room alone very well so we won’t ever take her.
Last time I stayed there Dec 2015 and both times was an EXCELLENT VALUE FOR ME for $100 p/n out the door incl RF, I just sleep 6hrs there, watch the animals and eat meals & desserts at the finest Vegas resorts, Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian👍🏼🎉
I stayed in April/May this year, I have always loved the Flamingo but this time it was awful. Check in was a nightmare, they insisted you used the machines and although there were 4 staff members they were too busy talking to each other to help customers. The automated concierge only works on U.S. numbers but it doesn’t tell you that I finally got a staff members attention and he just cancelled my check in and I had to start again. The bathroom was falling apart, towel rail fell off the wall dripping tap and shower and the carpet was threadbare. I was right at the end of a corridor so a 5 minute walk from the lift and the whole property stank of weed all the time, the casino,the lift and the corridors. To top it all off almost all staff I interacted with were either rude or not interested in helping or doing their jobs. It’s a shame I have stayed there a lot because of the location and history but I won’t be back for a while. I would stay at the Luxor for cheap accommodation it’s further out but with trams and easy walking not by much.
That’s too bad about your stay. We have had luck with the Flamingo Room but I know others are beat up. We enjoy Luxor too! Staying there over the New Year!
Great video, however I have never had any interest in Flamingo or Caesars properties simply due to their customer service or lack of. Maybe they are starting to listen and learn people don't like kiosks.
@@Laurenkb1611 if a pool is a must, there are a few larger hotels that heat a pool. You’d have to check, but I remember Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, and Aria. Others might also!
stayed one time. was not happy stying there. thay did not give me the room i paid for finely around 7 pm give me a diffrent room. but still would not give me the room i booked. never been back since. besides it all old people that stay there
Pricing can be so all over the place, depending on when you go. Prices are as low as $18 during the week. Weekends start at about $125 a night but can go up to over $300 for busy weekend. Plus you need to add tax and $40 per night resort fee. Nicer rooms might be $10 more a night for weekdays but can go way up from there. It’s so date driven, so it’s best to look at their rate calendar online.
Hated flamingo. Paper thin walls. Wood floors in room where you can hear everything and everyone next door yelling and partying very late at night. Never again!
