Bill, ever since I saw your video 3- years ago on teaching Fetch & Hold, I have been carrying you're torch. This truly is the most humane method and bonding method of teaching Fetch & Hold. May GOD continue to bless you. Thank You John Faigh Windsong Kennel

Thank you for the video, Bill. I remain grateful for your fetch method, founded on your basic principle of developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the dog. All of my dogs have benefited, as have I. Thank you again.

I could not agree more! As an amateur trainer I am training my 3rd dog over 22 year period. First dog hated me anytime I touched its toes because we used toe pinch. Next dog hated me touching its ears. This dog willingly fetches and holds with excitement and trust. He loves to play the fetch hold game with anything I tell him to fetch. I was told by everyone he needs to be force fetched, start that about 8 mos..... Well he was fetching and holding at 5mos! No force fetching. This weekend he did started test HRC. 4 retrieves. 3 were to the hand no drops. 1 water he dropped bird about 10ft away. I said fetch he picked it up and delivered to hand... Thank YOU Bill Hillman!

Different approach to training retrieve and great work by bill on development of these steps but ear pinch when done correctly does not hurt your relationship with dog as a handler you will see at the end of the day they will love retrieve and it is such a great method of training retrieve.

When everyone speaks of Bills method on force fetch they always show the fetching video but they never show a video on someone teaching the (Hold )part of Bills method! Fetch is easy Hold is hard.
