I've worked as a product consultant/advisor for close to 4 years...Freelance Product management sounds good, provides good compensation but at the same time is excruciatingly exhausting!!! For all the aspiring PM's, I'd suggest to first get into the product role, gain some experience, establish your contacts, profile, etc...jumping into freelancing will be a lot more easier as compared to freelancing as an inexperienced PM
