What are your thoughts on fruit for fat loss? Would you say that it’s good or bad?
Well. People are really afraid of sugar these days, particularly fructose. You should stick around for the second half of this video though cuz I’m going to take a dump on fructose right now.
On it’s own, pure fructose can actually contribute to some pretty nasty stuff like insulin resistance, fatty liver disease, increased blood triglyceride levels, and obesity. There are no benefits to consuming pure fructose.
The good thing about this is that humans almost never consume pure fructose ever.
When we eat fruit, fructose is paired with glucose, you’re getting numerous vitamins and minerals, and there’s also fiber - we’re eating a nutrient-dense food that is extremely beneficial.
This is like saying that meat is bad for you because it’s high in the amino acids tryptophan, methionine, and cysteine.
If fruit makes you fat, you have an issue with glucose oxidation. That needs to be fixed.
The only reason to not eat fruit is if it’s being sprayed with pesticides and herbicides. Other than that I wouldn’t worry about it unless you have impaired glucose metabolism.

Berries are best , most people do not get enough fibre so apples are great , fibre creates a slow drip of energy that will not allow you to crash like drinking soda. Fruit during a work day will help you stay sharp , try to avoid big meals during the work day like chicken or red meat as they take allot of energy to digest and will leave you feeling sluggish.

What I found with fruits is that they made me extremely hungry and not Satied. I was prepping for triathlons, and I was eating a lot of apples, plums etc. (I like them, plus in season) but they hardly ever made me feel good. Vegetables have everything short pointed out, yet they don’t have that much sugar. I’m not going to have a debate on plant defence chemicals because I rarely eat veggies raw, nor fully cooked

Try them with peanut butter or some other nut butter if you're not alergic. It cuts down on how much your body absorbs and it fills you up.

A bit of pure peanut butter, full fat organic yogurt, maybe even some plain dark chocolate. Also, organic or even just fruit washed in baking soda will help clean it beforehand. ‪Other than that, just try different fruits and maybe try good carbs like white rice, potatoes, yams, meat, fish, eggs, green vegetables etc as a starter meal. The better I eat, the better I feel.

I started paying attention n now I realize the value of TUMERIC it can drastically lower inflammation better than anything I bought a product on line that really seems t help Up wellness Golden revive It has Boswell as well as bromalien Try it, it helped me a lot I ear some fresh pineapple which has bromalien n I cut it up n freeze make nice sweet treat along w some frozen grapes Don't eat HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP like in soda n most junk foods😊

I cut all sugar out of my diet for a while, now if i consume any form of sugar (fruit, honey, or any of the artificial garbage) now i get leg cramps especially at night, was not an issue while regularly consuming sugars, however it is a good deterrent to not eat sugar

“Glucose spikes” aren’t the issue, the issue is the process of absorption. We all spike our blood sugar levels when we eat… even meat, but it returns in a couple of hours.

You cant, but avoiding simple carbs, sugar and seed oils should slow it down. But you could just go carnivore if want to avoid it entirely.

Avoid seed oils, experiment with seed oil free gluten to see if you can tolerate gluten (effects different people differently) and artificial sweeteners/high fructose corn syrup

As long as the fruit is pure, you are eating it and whole form. And you're cleaning the fruit properly you should be okay

This is the issue with the online fitness/ nutritional scene. You have people like this guy who demonizes vegetables by breaking vegetables down into single compounds and then complain they’re harmful. this is literally what you do with vegetables. BUT… you cannot do that to fruit. Absolutely hilarious 😂

Well fun fact vegetables also contain fructose and are packed with anti nutrients plus have lower bioavailable micro nutrients found in them. I eat vegetables and I'm not hating but fruit is still superior to any veggy out there because of the facts I just mentioned. And I'm not saying all veggies suck (kale and spinach certainly do though) but in general we are better off with fruit. We crave sweet things bc we have been eating fruits since we were apes millions of years ago. it is natural for us to crave fruits they are good for us. It's the same with women while pregnancy... I know many vegan moms that craved meat while pregnant. Why? Because we have been reaping the benefits of eating animal products for millions of years just like with fruit. As Paul Saladino always says. Veggies are survival foods. If you don't understand what he means by this, go into the woods with no supplies and try to make it through a month of living off the wild. You will collect berries if they are in season you may eat some roots if you can find them and you're about to starve but the one thing that will give you everything you need to stay alive will be fatty red meat.

​@@leon5537this was a very thoughtful answer. I've always had the same kinda thinking when it comes to human diets. If weve been thrvinving and surving off these types of foods why change them (unless you have a severe illness related to them). Same thing with the "how much protein can your body digest at one time) our ancestors were not eating 3 square meals or more a day. Usually one big sitting at a time and for our bodies to just throw away more than the "40g" if protein at one time was just stupid logic. Just makes you think

There is 0 evidence that vegetables are bad for you and the may point stands that pinpointing specific nutrients in whole foods is what snake oil salesmen do.

Everything in moderation. Unless you're allergic or intolerant due to some condition, eating a good mix of everything is the best strategy. Not feeling good only eating fruits? Easy, mix it up with something else or simply reduce the amount. Like seriously, humans are omnivores for a reason. 🤷

Well fruit now has so many chemicals sprayed all over it and they do have pretty high sugar content. Some zoos stopped giving fruit to certain animals because the sugar content was so high they animals started getting fat

so what happens to the fructose once the body separates the glucose from the fructose.. ONLY the liver can process fructose ...leading to lipogenesis ... and too much leads to NAFLD... you did not mention that, did you? Why not?

It's supposed to be trace amounts that aren't harmful to humans. But we'll never know. It would take decades to prove links to our long term health, and then they'd lie about it for a few decades more. That's how it was with lead paint, cigarettes, asbestos, and the super high refined carb/corn syrup diets they pushed. Corporate profit comes first.

Fasted/ unfasted Blood glucose testing, A1C etc. you can get the numbers from blood tests with your doctor. Best to get their advice.

The honest truth about fruit is that it can curb cravings for other unnecessary items. We need to as a whole become more educated in simple vs complex carbohydrates. A sweet apple will curb cravings for ice cream.

Good word on folks with insulin resistance/ metabolism issues. What will change our metabolism? Keto? Please PLEASE not carnivore. I’m really trying with Whole Foods and no sugar. I keep gaining weight and I’m doing HARD 75 (day 15). This is a whackadoo lifestyle- but seeing gains; the wrong kind. I’m a silver sneaker variety. Fructose is super healthy. Before the insulin discovery, fructose was used to treat diabetes. Fructose is #1 ingredient required by the liver to function properly. Fiber on the other hand is quite bad, useless and causes issues to some individuals.

HGod made veg and fruit, meat for us to eat, yet man in his worldly wisdom find reasons why we should not eat what God provided for us as food. I trust God He made me, formed me in my mothers womb, He knows exactly what my body needs to be in good health, He even made herbs for us to use as medicine and still we choose what is chemically made. Everything in season and everything in moderation is good for you together with walking and getting a good night's rest limiting electronics.try spending more time outside
