GW suffering on a 35% net margin. Meanwhile in Canada, people are boycotting the big grocery chain stores for raising prices to continue operating on a 2-3% net margin. Granted there's more competition, different products, etc. But still, it's funny to compare.

It’s not just the single increase per year but the sneak increase every time something is re-packaged with less. I’ve stopped buying direct from GW. I now just bin dive my army’s off EBay or trade groups. Get well excited with a deal….. probably the Scotsman in me 😂

The prices in Australia are already just stupid even third party stores, meanwhile tho cost of 3d printing is coming down it’s plug and play and the files are basically free, even rip off scans are easy to find and no one even notices they’re not genuine . It’s scummy for them to take advantage of the ‘cost of living crisis’ and push prices up despite the game been fairly average this edition and having such a faithful player base . I stopped buying models a while back and 3d print everything 😅

Im swedish... we got 14% price raise... its got to the point where Im starting to lose the joy in it. When you know how much they have in margin its like a slap in the face for us that does not have a huge salary or have to work part time. The hobby was really expensive to begin with but now...

The Genestealer cult combat patrol has the same point value and model count as the 2020 start collecting box but will be $80 AUD more expensive. I’m glad I’ve got my army finished because there’s no way I could afford to start the hobby now.

By the way corps startch was what caused the mad cow disease . Being an enjoyer of Scotish Fish processing industry for a few years, l can still remember how animal feed was being made out of what was left from processing fish and animals. The 80-90s cows in the UK were running on cow startch, and as the 60s in central africa showed us , eating stuff too similar to you has grave neurologica consequances.

Used to be 5 nurgle/ khorne marines for a fiver, the metal termi's in the blisters were £5-6 each so 25's about right, rhino was a tenner, i miss the old days. It's a shame GW dont realise with their current scale and the massive boost in popularity they've had over past 6 mths, As long as they sort out the production issues they seem to have {Not making enough}. They could implement the old price's and they would have a massive boost of player's, from the "kid's" parent's going ok this isnt too bad, not to mention all the old players like us coming back becuase we can actually afford to participate without going broke 🙂 P.S. Value is relative etc but what is the value of wgat was the good marine army in 8th ed? Picked WS because you like bikes? The 18 jetbikes+contemptors regular custodes list what is the worth of that? Ad mecha list which core were expensive flier models etc etc. A ton of GW core games worth is based on outside game stuff. Fun time spend with friends or fun people. You shouldn't like a build , faction or way of playing, but you have to learn to love to paint. Marines are a yood example of bad value holder, while eldar are the opposit. What is the worth of a demi company, marine drop pod army, a superfriends list, the intercessor spam with dreadnought etc? It is close to zero, the lists are often not just very bad (sometimes within a span of few months) , but often illegal. 30 sniper scouts for your WS? Well you better gave a flourishing HH community around.

Blaming their double inflation price in reases on inflation is gross and insulting. Pretending to be the victim when they are the perpetrator is disgusting.

9% is still below what actual inflation is.

I think once you have a solid core for 2-3 armies it isn’t that bad to buy a few new kits when it’s needed It’s the jumping on new armies and chasing the meta with those armies every 6 months that was way too expensive for me I enjoy the hobby more now that I just have my 2 armies I have stuck with for 2 years But maybe that is also easier now that the meta is more balanced
