Everyone talks about how grt Nawaz and Pankaj were and I totally agree but why do we forget Manoj Bajpai, I mean sardar Khan blew my mind. He was so fucking natural, manoj was spot on....

Only person that was missing from Gangs of Wasseypur was Irrfan Khan. How can you go wrong with pure Gold: Manoj Bajpayee Pankaj Tripathi Nawazuddin Siddiqui Jaideep Ahlawat Rajkumar Rao Tigmanshu Dhulia

As someone who lived in hinterland Jharkhand in childhood and then moved to the metro cities, I never expected something so grounded to come out of Bollywood. That is the win of this movie, appearing to the mundane lives of the 90% India.

So much lost in translation, like that iconic line" keh ke kenge" is translated to "i will screw him" such a bad translation.

GOW was Manoj Bajpai 's movie ! He outshined everyone.

My most favourite character was Ramadhir Singh. His silence and composure at times made me a fan of Timangshu's acting.

I remember him as Meryl Streep's dead lover. Somehow I never quite place his name ever. And thank you. Dog Day Afternoon needs to be mentioned more. (Its based on a real incident in the 70s for those who don't know)

Fun fact I remembered about John Cazale, or Fredo Corleone. He acted in 6 films and all 6 of them were nominated for an Oscar for best picture.

Kah ke lenge was translated as I will screw him. Worst translation ever for this extremely bold line.

it was Zeeshan Qadri who co-wrote the script (and also wrote the story and also played 'Definite Khan' in the movie)

Coming from the same state as Wasseypur, why Sardar khan isn't "classy" because men in that state aren't "classy". Atleast not during that era. Bihari people hate show off or fancy thing and judge Bomby Delhi people for their fancy looks as being feminine and fake. Infact, people in Bihar even after having millions in wealth, buy cheap cars and keep their houses low key. That's why Sardar khan isn't all classy.

I agree with Rick when he mentioned, Dog Day Afternoon. One of the Best Al Pacino film.
