You didn't even mention that the original builders (Prussian Germans) Were expelled and exterminated after the Second world war. The poles living there now are not the original inhabitants - Greetings from the UK

You didn't even mention that the original builders (Prussian Germans) supported Hitler in 98% and immediately after Germany invaded Poland they started exterminating Poles. The Germans wanted a change of borders, they have a change. Poland before World War II had a larger territory than now, and the borders in Europe after the war were marked by Great Britain, the USA and the USSR. Greetings from Poland to Great Britain for the fact that today Gdańsk is completely Polish.

This is not Prussia, Prussia is located on the right bank of the Vistula, this is Gdańsk Pomerania, a land which together with the city belongs to Poland from 966 to 1795 with a 150-year break when the city was part of the State of the Teutonic Order. The first Germans, if the Catholic Teutonic Order can be classified as a nationality, were brought to these lands by Prince Konrad Mazowiecki in the 13th century. For centuries, Poland was a multi-ethnic, multi-religious country where Poles, Germans, Lithuanians, Russians, Jews and Tatars, Scots, Czechs, Danes and Italians lived side by side. The Poles did not chase anyone out of Poland, the Germans fled on their own because they were aware of what they had done in Eastern Europe.

@MegaCooliam Your projection and blame shifting on top of the lack of history knowledge is a poor combination. There was a time in history (not long ago) when your government was full of psych.paths and murderers. You might want to look into your own history books. Also, jealousy makes people ugly so watch out!
