Wasn't there a case in Utah with a couple of moms abusing their children and calling it discipline? I'd rather gentle parenting than that. Look up Ruby Franke for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, they were starving their own children and keeping them captive to punish them for the most menial behavior. Let me know when gentle parenting results in a court case like this, otherwise I think saying it's 'out of control' is an exaggeration for 'I don't like it' Also this video has almost nothing to do with gentle parenting and is just this Amanda woman talking about herself? Title the video more accordingly. It's an interview or whatever with Amanda, not a discussion about how gentle parenting is 'out of control' (as someone who was raised by 'spare the rod spoil the child' type parents, I think it's an improvement. Doesn't mean it's perfect tho)
@@NotTheExpert2And what ever examples they want to use about gentle parenting are also extreme cases. When there are extreme cases of gentle parenting that are on the same level as people who go over board with discipline let me know
@@NotTheExpert2 they literally used the phrase "out of control" but just criticize it, there's nothing anyone can actually show me or say that proves gentle parenting is "out of control" instead of just different from what they're used to.
