Sometimes trying to hold back the years is looked at as a negative thing. In this video I share my thoughts and choices on maintaining a good health in my later years. I absolutely feel great gratitude to be this age and healthy and I'm doing my best to maintain this .

So many thoughts here. Getting old is a blessing. However, I strive to not act, look, dress or feel old. I'm 68 and while I see signs of aging I don't focus on them. I do the things I want to do and embrace moving outside my comfort zone. I just became a grandmother in December but "grandmother" is not the same as when I was growing up. Most of my friends became grandmothers very young so I don't equate age quite the same way. I had my children in my 30's so I expected to be in my 60's when they might be ready to have children. My husband passed unexpectedly in 2022. I'm not sure I fear death but I definitely don't want to miss out on the lives of my daughters and grandson. The loss of my husband was eye opening in that while you may think you have a lot of time it can be taken away in a heartbeat. As hard as it has been to lose him after 40 years together I mourn how much he is missing more than anything. We should live everyday as if it might be our last.

I’m so sorry to hearyour husband at such a young age. I have felt and understand every word you’ve written and I thank you for your thoughts and wise words. By doing the things you want to do and embrace moving out of your comfort zone is a positive choice. Feeling comfortable in the way you look and act is what matters most, and this can mean different things to different people. ❤️

@@AndrisWorld Thanks Andri. I haven't mentioned it to you previously. He was 75 so a bit older than me but he had no inkling that something wasn't right. You just never know when it will happen.

I feel that aging is definitely a choice. It all down to diet and excersize. Healthy food makes your skin glow. I am going to fight aging every step of the way😂😂😂

I agree, death is scary. It's the finality of it that I don't like! I think it is important to remember that life is too short and never take a moment for granted!

Sooooo true. I know women of a certain age who eat terribly , junk and processed food and their idea of exercise is pottering in the garden… and then love to complain about how awful getting older is. As soon as I say my age and my passion for a life of health and prioritising my body they get very defensive…. Like you say, it hits a nerve because they could look and feel great , but they have accepted this is what aging is 😢

I’m fighting with you!!! Andri do you really see a difference with tumeric? How much do you take? Do you also take a vitamin D? My doctor told me that’s a great vitamin for dementia there’s a lot of studies. ❤❤you motivate me!! Your beautiful Andri inside and out!!

HI Andri, well, you are certainly practicing what you preach! I do occasionally think about death and dying, especially when something like the death of Dr. Michael Mosley happens - you really have no clue when the grim reaper will come for you, so you just have to make the best of everything. That's one reason why I watch you and similar RU-vidrs - it's great motivation! T.xx

It’s hard to answer that now but honestly considering how much I used to eat sweet things I don’t think it took as long as you would think . Bread is the hardest thing to give up but I now have a little at the weekend and make sure it’s the healthiest option xxxx
