Early twenties are such a weird time in life because there are so many moving parts and year to year how your life will look is kinda just up in the air. Even when you really love someone, especially in this age of social media, there's so many images of who you should be and how you should look constantly thrown at you. It's hard to find stable ground for yourself let alone a relationship. At the end of the day, even if it hurts, sometimes space is exactly the thing you need to find the balance you didn't realize you were missing. You seem like such a giver to people you love, and as someone who can relate to how draining that can be I hope you continue to take this extra time to give to yourself. I know we don't see all the struggles behind the scene, but if you haven't told yourself today, you are amazing and you are doing amazingly and I really look up to you as an inspiration. Thank you for being so open, honest, and real. Life isn't always pretty but that's what makes it life. ❤️❤️❤️

Thats why I want to stay single right now. im in high school and i have so many goals and I want to make sure that I make time to achieve them and sometimes that needs to be done on your own so hearing you say this makes me feel a lot better about that decision. So I'm thirteen years old and scared of any form of commitment (e.g friendship, family, relationship). I tend to avoid anything like that because ik it can end as quickly as it can start. I went through this in June of last year and I've emotionally grown and matured so much. I was in a deep dark place for the whole July but eventually I got back up. Very very grateful for that breakup because it taught me a lot. And there were definitely a lot of things that I didn't see in the relationship that I should've. I remember contemplating if i should call him but i refrained from it. And then the following month, August, I found YOU. i recently got out of a 3+ year relationship and i’m 21 rn and i agree with everything u said. It’s hard to know who you are, what u really want & what’s best for you when you get in such a routine with another person especially at these ages. nothing against younger long relationships! i just know for me that i lost myself or maybe never got to find myself. i am a independent person and i found myself with someone who was co dependent and even tho i have independence it started dragging me down. I definitely understand this, me and my ex of a year and half just broke up abt two months ago and, not saying the relationship was the same bc it definitely was not, it was pretty toxic, but the main reasons are the same, sometimes being in a relationship especially when it’s intense you can forget abt yourself and your ambitions and taking a step back is necessary for the both of you to grow and flourish properly.
