"Moe Norman Poem" Golf is happiness, for happiness is achievement. The father is motivation. The mother is encouragement. The fine golf swing is truly achievement. Man may lie, steal and cheat for gain, but that will never gain a golf swing. To gain a golf swing, man must work. Yet it is work without toil. It is exercise without the boredom. It is intoxication without the hangover. It is stimulation without the pills. It is failure, yet its success shines even more brightly. It is frustration, yet it nourishes patience. It irritates, yet its soothing is far greater. It is futility, yet it nurtures hope. It is defeating, yet it generates courage. It is humbling, yet it ennobles the human spirit. It is dignity, yet it rejects arrogance. Its price is high, yet its rewards are richer. Some day it is a boy’s pastime, yet it builds men. It is a buffer for the stresses of today’s living. It cleans the mind and rejuvenates the body. It is these things and many more for those of us who know it and love it. Golf is truly happiness.
the game of "golf" has existed for over 4000 years let that sink in...... no it was not the current flavor but is was using a stick to knock a "ball" into a hole....... 4000 years!!!!!!
It's an adrenaline Boring when l play sucky and addicting when l play good with the adrenaline pumping begging come back for more just to play sucky golf again and it repeats 😂
Just subscribed and glad you’re sharing your golf journey. Lots of highs and lows, and it’s love/hate relationship. Keep swinging and don’t get discouraged…as we’ve been there when we all started. Have fun and enjoy yourself.
(if you know you know, and if you don’t, you don’t )This will be my fourth summer and I pretty much put my life on hold for Golf and it’s the only thing I do 365. I will say I need to limit going to the range because it has become taxing on the body . Great swing BTW.
I've been addicted since I was 15 and I'm 66 now. Last month my clubs were stolen along with my friends car and his clubs. 10 years I had them. Imagine the excitement of getting to go out and buy all new stuff. Irons came yesterday and off to the range to try them out.
I played varsity high school golf. 30 years later I was in the parking telling my dad I could play Pebble Beach if I sell my truck. The goal was that I wanted to be single digit handicap/. He was like you got to get a job. I played golf with my dad.
Relate to this video so much. I had been obsessing over Taylormade kalea but they are expensive 😢. Then one day I made the mistake of googling lightest golf clubs for ladies and discovered xxio and now that's my new obsession. I literally fantasize about owning a set 😅. What the hell is this? What kinda life am I living? This is insanity
I play with some clubs that used to be my Dad's, 1990, 91 Dunlops. Not even sure that brand exits anymore. I did get them regripped with some Golf Pride grips a few years ago. They still hit great. Maybe one day I splurge for some new ones.
