Is Grace a License to Sin? A Free Grace Answer

Is grace a license to sin? That is one of the most common objections to Free Grace theology and to the grace message in particular. People are afraid that if you teach that salvation really is by grace, through faith in Christ, and given as a gift totally apart from your behavior, that will encourage people to sin. Is that true?

About the part where you said the health 1 Corinthians 11:27-32 is talking about that born again brethren's in Christ like us will have health problems for example, living a lifestyle of sin without repenting of sins aka without turning away or stopping living a lifestyle of sin which our Lord Jesus Christ chastises born again brethren's in Christ like us, people on RU-vid claim that living an active lifestyle has health benefits while living a sedentary lifestyle has health problems and my question is what if born again brethren's in Christ like us have health problems that 1 Corinthians 11:27-32 is talking about but living an active lifestyle regularly? Does it contradict 1 Corinthians 11:27-32?

We are saved by the Grace of God. No one can stop sinning if we could Jesus would have not needed to die for our sins. Don't let the devil steal your joy. No one can snatch you out of Jesus ' hand not even yourself. Even the apostle Paul struggled with sin. We should strive to do our walk with the Lord but know we can never be sinless. See you in heaven❤

A saved person will not choose to disobey Christ and be carnal. If a person chooses carnality over Christ, they were never saved in the first place because they never truly believed. A person who has truly believed in Christ will love him and will be convicted when they sin. If a person does not have that, they are not even a believer. Once saved always saved is true, but this hinges on you actually believing. The biggest thing free gracer's mix up is thinking that everyone who says they believe actually does believe.

So you think the babes in Christ in 1 Corinthians 3 are not really babes in Christ because they're being carnal? Paul says in verse 5 that Paul (himself) and Apollos are but ministers by whom they believed (meaning the "babes in Christ" who are being carnal genuinely have believed in Christ).

@@Forgivenmuchlovingmuch Since obviously everyone will die physically, Paul is saying IF you are a carnal Christian you will die spiritually. Romans 8:7,8,12,13 Because the carnal mind is enmity [hostile] against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
@KezzaTianzun
@KezzaTianzun 7 месяцев назад
@@Forgivenmuchlovingmuch You are not understanding it - it does not mean we do not sin. It means we do not practice sin. There is a difference between making mistakes for which you feel Godly sorrow - that is to be convicted of and desire to stop. Those born of God no longer wish to sin, their Spirit desires to no longer sin, but the flesh is weak. You ask what happens if one backslides - backsliding is not practicing sin, it is falling into it. There is a great deal of difference between one who does their best, and one who in fact ENJOYS and DESIRES to continue sinning. When we are born again, God gives us a new heart and new desires. This is the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit in your life. You will face much difficulties and struggle a lot, but the inner Spirit wars against your flesh, such that those sinful things that you do are not what you actually want to do. This is why Paul says the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, and that he does not do the things he wants to do, but does all those things he doesn't want to do. The flesh and the spirit within us are at war always in the life of a believer. The problem is if a person claims to be born again, but do not have new desires, do not have a new longing for Christ and still would rather within themselves continue with their sin and see no problem with their sin. Such a person is not regenerated.

Yes, if one thinks they only have to believe in Jesus as the savior, but then go ahead and do anything they want, that's literally the definition of "license to sin". If OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) is true, then I Cor 6:9-11 is a lie, where Paul warns the believers at Corinth to BE NOT DECEIVED about the sinful lifestyles they just repented of and departed from, as Paul states in verse 11, and such WERE (past tense) some of you, not and such still ARE (present tense) some of you. They once served the lusts of their flesh, but now they have repented and are walking morally, according to Paul's instructions. The New Testament is literally filled with warnings for BELIEVERS not to fall back into their old sinful lifestyles, thus not inheriting the Kingdom of God. Paul makes it clear, that through sanctification (to be made holy), through obedience to God's word by the aid of the Holy Spirit in them, they can conquer sin, though when a Christian fails, and they should fail less frequently than the unsaved, we have I John 1:9 to get us back into correct fellowship with God. Salvation is in the end, and it is a hope, that is unseen, and future tense, but one can know they are saved if they are presently living by faith, and living godly lives according to the instructions of the apostle Paul (Rom 2:16). Hebrews 3:13-15 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation

@@Benjamin_694 The law is over, but that doesn't mean you can do anything you want, God's moral laws remain, only keeping the sabbath was not commanded to still be observed in the NT (New Testament), 9 of the commandments are repeated as still commands in the NT. We ARE to keep HIS commandments, and that is referring to what Jesus said on this earth, to his disciples, and apostles. 1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” This is not referring to the LAW, as Paul refers to in Romans and elsewhere, but referring to Christ's commands, and the apostles. Nobody is saved by the LAW, we are saved by faith in Christ and obeying HIS commands. You're not going to be saved by merely giving lip service to belief, then still continuing to sow to the flesh, as Paul makes it very clear, those who do, DO NOT inherit the kingdom of God, and he told them to BE NOT DECIEVED about this, and he was talking to BELIEVERS. You can't do anything you want, just because you believe in Jesus, and still be saved. You must be obedient as well. If we as Christians sin, we have 1 John 1:9 to get ourselves back into fellowship with God, if you refuse to repent and live in the former sinful lifestyles mentioned in 1 Cor 6:9, 10 and Gal 5:16-26, BE NOT DECEIVED, you will NOT inherit the kingdom of God, that's what Paul said, loud and clear, regardless of what the license to sin false prophets existing in todays churches tell their congregations, making them comfortable in their sins.

@@Benjamin_694 I didn't read your laundry list of excuses as to why you think you can steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, and then say you can do ALL those things (Jer 7:8-11), and ANY SIN under the sun, without repentance, which means to confess and forsake them, yet just pull out your "I believe in Jesus card", and think God is going to welcome you in, when Paul stated very very clearly in both I Cor 6:9-11 and Gal 5:16-26, to BE NOT DECEIVED to BELIEVERS, Paul was talking to believers in both Corinth and Galatia, that if they DO sow to their FLESH, and then he lists those works of the flesh, instead of bearing fruit, they will NOT inherit the kingdom of God. There's going to be a LOT of very very deceived people who thought they could sin and get away with it, just because their pastor told them OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) myth, as the New Testament teaches no such thing. Belief in Christ, and then WALKING in the Spirit, and NOT the flesh, that's what Paul taught saves, period.

Apart from man-made works - not God's works. Faith in God will lead to God-led works. We do not have to earn salvation. We just have to believe in Jesus, The Truth. We have to believe in The Truth. If we do not, we are not believing in Jesus... If we believe in anything against The Word, we believe in a false god. We do have to choose to seek Righteousness. Yes. Grace will teach us to live righteous and godly. We do not even have salvation until we know Jesus though. We do not have salvation until we follow Jesus, The Truth. If we choose to disobey God, then we are not choosing God and are not believing in Jesus. There is either all-in or not with God. "Thus, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit you out of my mouth!" (Revelation 3:16) God is Righteousness. We must seek God with our whole heart! If we seek with our whole heart, we will find God. However, we must seek with our whole heart. That is how we find Righteousness. The Truth will set us free (John 8:32), so we must know The Truth! Jesus is The Truth! (John 14:6) Scripture tells us how to tell if we know The Truth. Scripture tells us that we know that we know Jesus (The Truth) if we keep The Commandments. “And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. The one who says “I have come to know him,” and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person.” (1 John 2:3-4) Since Jesus is The Truth, and The Truth will set us free, we must seek The Truth until we find it. We must keep seeking The Truth until we are keeping The Commandments. This is the only way we can tell if we have found The Truth (Jesus). Let’s look at what Truth is defined as in scripture. The sum of Yahweh’s Words, Laws, and Commands are Truth. “Now, my Lord Yahweh, you alone are God, and your words are truth.” (2 Samuel 7:28) “You are righteous, O Yahweh, and your ordinances are upright…Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth.” (Psalm 119:137-142) “You are near, O Yahweh, and all your commands are truth. (Psalm 119:151) “The sum total of your words adds up to truth, and every one of your righteous decrees is everlasting.” (Psalm 119:160) God’s Word is Truth “ Sanctify them in the truth-your word is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for them I sanctify myself, so that they themselves also may be sanctified in the truth.” (John 17:17-19) Jesus was born to testify to The Truth! Jesus stated that everyone who is of The Truth will hear Jesus’s voice. “For this reason I was born, and for this reason I have come into the world: in order that I can testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” (John 18:37) We must be of The Truth to hear the voice of Jesus. We are told that The Truth is in us only if we are keeping the Commandments. (1 John 2:3-4) In other words, to hear and recognize the voice of Jesus, we must be keeping the Commandments. If we are not, we must seek Righteousness with all of our heart until we are keeping the Commandments. God is Righteousness. If we seek Righteousness (God) with all of our heart, we will find Righteousness. Then we will be able to hear the voice of Jesus. “Truly, truly I say to you, that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. And the slave does not remain in the household forever; The Son remains forever. So if The Son sets you free, you will be truly free.” (John 8:34-36) “If you continue in my word you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32)

At 5:47 - what you say IS exactly license to sin. You invalidated your whole point about free grace "not" being a license to sin with that bit at 5:47. @@travisbrand3135God doesn't call someone home "early". Every day is numbered and counted from before you were born.
