It's crazy how much people forget what Connor did for the UFC he completely changed it, realistically everyone's aim is to change their life so if he doesn't care about fighting anymore that's fair he's fed he's family that's all that matters, it's only because it's a sport people think he should carry on when really and truly he doesn't need to the impact he made was huge. If he started again now it would almost be like him starting his journey all over again and what's the point in that.

FYI Ali did not just say he was the greatest but he absolutely dissed his opponents in hilarious fashion as well. He made up insulting names for his opponents based off of their physical appearance and was relentless. You would have to watch more of his stuff to see that he was the originator in doing this.

Conor McGregor was defintly the best UFC character and fighter over a given time of history,he absolutely toyed with his opponents. And they werent just anyone,he fought the best out there at the time. Am i a Conor supporter? Yes i am. And i might have been very biased to him at some point (i even said that his boxing background,would give him a fair shot on Mayweather,he would lack the KO power but his speed and accuracy was better then Mayweathers,he did put up an impressive performance against a full on boxer,his downfall was that he became gassed as i saw it). I never stopped my support for him,i love that guy. BUT,i think reality kicked in for me during the latest years. At one point it sadly seemed like his mind was distracted too much,with all the wrong things. He would show up to interviews etc and talk more about his own alcohol brand then him as a fighter,and it seemed like he wasnt sober at some of his public appearances. There was one specific appearance where i thought "Oh man,he looks like a "drunk b*m",it really hurt to see him like that. There was also some situations he got himself into as a "private individual",that helped speed up the downhill journey. I dont think that his prime was over then,i simply think that his mental game wich was his strength for the longest,took a turn for the worst. And he started getting humiliated in the ring,by fighters that was were Conor used to be just some years back mentally. What needs to be said though,is that Conor only talked mad trash when he was confident that he would win in the ring,and his head was in the right place. But after each win or defeat,he was always humble. There are compilations of him showing all theese other sides,people that hate him arent always aware of. Or they simply choose not to pay attention to. He was not all trash talk,there was and still is soo much more to Conor then this super confident/ c**ky side of him. And since he hasnt won a match in forever,his loud,energetic personality is therefor completely gone. It might be a combo of him lacking confidence,and what he always has said,when he knows he can back it up,he will be loud and the showman we know him best as again. Will it happen? The world is full of miracles,but Conor is not getting younger for each year that passes. My reality sence in it all says that he is probably over his prime years,and will not be the dominant force we know him as again. But the supporter in me believes in him until he decides to retire. Maybe he decides to try out acting or something? Who knows..... But he will forever be the best to have sold UFC as a brand,and his matches. You dont see anyone that is on his level of being a showman and a trashtalker,there are some attempts but its "weak sauce". I have even seen a couple trying to downright copy Conor,but never backs it up in the ring. Its quite hysterical and embarrasing to watch. You can hate or love him,but one thing noone can take away from him,he sold matches for the UFC like noone else can. And he knew it,thats why he put on a show to get people passionate about the fights.
