Due to extremely high demand and because we are unable to meet everyone's requests while maintaining the growth of the channel, the rate for a song request is now $50USD. However, we would advise against requests with artists that are unbeknownst to most of RU-vid because we are still in the process of growing the channel. We will likely consider a "new artist" reaction component when we have achieved some growth goals :).
XG and Babymetal are my top favourite groups, but you mentioned history then you should check out Sabaton, their songs are all about historical events and each song they do has a full story behind it on their history channel as well
Beautiful Leon Russell song. (Carpenters also covered his Superstar and This Masquerade.) This track is from the 1972 Carpenters album of the same name, which also featured the first power ballad, Goodbye To Love. The last song on the album is a melancholy touring anthem called Road Ode, which fades out as a reprise of the chorus of A Song For You fades back in. It would have been haunting even in 1972. After February 4, 1983, it became wrenching and chilling...check it out, guys...
Well said, guys, and true. No one has ever sounded like Karen Carpenter. To describe her voice as both haunting and powerful is spot on. Great reaction again. Keep on r'actin .
I know I'm late here but check out : careless whisper on one guitar (Alexandr Misko) . And yes that's the spelling. All of his music is awesome. Very talented.(PS it's one Gtr....but layered.
Politicians use this while campaigning all the time. Reading really is fundamental. If they bothered to read the lyrics, maybe they'd smarten up a bit. This song has been around for 40 years and they just never learn.
American artist in modern era sadly doesn’t do choreography much anymore. In the past there was a lot but now the backup dancer does the dancing for western artist. To become a xg member or any of the kpop groups, dancing choreography is mandatory. Even if you sing well or rap well, if you cannot dance then you can never make it in. They take what western music is known for and black culture hiphop and incorporate choreography in all of their music. Its mandatory on the dance choreography for all of their industry
I love The Carpenters, and I love your reactions. May I suggest you react to two songs that are not very well-known...."Let Me Be the One" and "Someday".
The irony of the song is being Born in the USA should mean you are taken care of etc yet the character after being drafted and serving in the Vietnam war is then treated badly by the country he went to fight for . It's ideals and promise of treating its citizens fairly is the irony. The character is forgotten by the country..by the VA..by employers & ends up in prison. So many people think it is patriotic yet it's a song about being let down. Check out We take care of our own by Springsteen...awesome sone on how again the victims of the country (like poor people affected by Hurrican Katrina) are left to themsleves. Great channel too.
There are a lot of bars in the song that I did not catch the first time and I think if you guys give it another listen you guys will appreciate the song even more. My wife and I love your Channel
I think songs aren't composed with these musical instrument interludes/solos these days. At least not heard in the popular songs anymore especially on the radio. It gives you time to take in the song and it's emotional content and lyrics, like a space to meditate right in the middle of the song.
i do believe wish you were here was about syd barrett, which was one of the original members. shine on you crazy diamond was also about syd (Shine (S) on You (Y) crazy Diamond (D).) in one of the first verses they mention how his eyes looked like black holes in the sky, which is how they now viewed syd after he had started using drugs. its really hard but so easy to listen to that song, and i cant help but sob my eyes out (for Wish You Were Here and Shine On You Crazy Diamond). correct me if im wrong on any of this!!
Gene Simmons rolls his right ankle awkwardly at the very beginning of the video directly after the first bomb goes off, and then jumps up to the mic and sings and jumps even more during the song. Legendary performance at the very beginnings KISS.
Bringin On the Heartbreak was a huge hit. Billy's Got A Gun is a personal fave. Also Love Bites was played non stop back in the great 80s days of music videos. 🤘
Thanks for the reaction. I get those same feelings when I hear this song. Another great song to react to, happens to be the very last song Karen recorded before her death. It’s called Now. Another very haunting song which really talks about her finding love, even though in real life she never did find it. Give it a listen.
With YES I found that I shouldn't concentrate too much on John's lyrics.Their music in my opinion is extraordinary as are the musicians .The lyrics in some songs don't make a lot of sense
August and Everything After is still one of my go to records. Deffinaytly need to check out Rain King as well as Round Here. Many will disagree with me but Perfect Blue Buil;dings and Anna Begins are the 2 best songs on this record.........IMHO
