I love Home Free because they have great senses of humor. But also, when you see them together you forget they are physically large humans. Rob is 6'4" (The tallest) and now with Chance, the shortest at 6'1". Big goofy guys.😊😊😊😊

This is such a fun song. Home free does a great job of spoofing Meghan Trainor's song. I love it when the guys ham it up, but their vocals never suffer. This song always puts a smile on my face. Love Austin's yodeling. There is a behind the scenes video which is very funny. You can tell that the guys love what they do.

That last segment was written to mimic barbershop harmony, and that final but with Austin holding the note is a pure barbershop tag. Actually, for a barbershop tag, that is a fairly short hold. 25 to 30 seconds is not unheard of in barbershop quartet competitions.

The gopher line is a reference to one of the songs they did on Season 4 of The Sing-Off. All of their Sing-Off performances are on RU-vid. You might want to check those out, too. I recommend the ones with the judge’s’ comments included.

Thanks for going over those magazine covers. I've watched this dozens of times but this was the first time I realized that the small print said something funny. Btw the "go for the gopher" comment on Rob's is something you will only understand if you look up their performances in the Sing Off they won and find their performance of the Caddy Shack song. They did it as a challenge with a group called the Filharmonic. It is worth the look up and I think the video is available so that you could do it as a reaction.

That last note Austin held for 2-3 minutes (I know, exaggeration) is remarkable, in the same way that Tim's long low note at the end of Ring of Fire. Austin does similar at the end of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. That video has a similar vibe of unrestrained silliness. I never really liked the original, but Home Free made it special. I highly recommend.

I hope you've checked out Austin's page. He has MANY great sings on there with either piano or guitar accomplishment. I never really thought about it, but the Spencer Reed comparison is spot on! You're also the first person I've seen pausing on the magazine covers, and I'm so glad you did because I had to also my first time watching, and thought they were hilarious! How do you do it ? Are you linked in with me? I had a VERY HARD day again today (good but very hard) then I get home and this is the first thing I see! So the song is great! Home Free is fabulous and your reaction to home free just makes me giggle! I have told this story elsewhere but for me it is worth repeating. When my grandaughters were very young I bought them each a stick horse. Shortly after that this video came out and the three of them quickly realized they were exactly like the ones the guys are using. The next time I went to a concert I brought them with me and the guys autographed them for me. Those stick horses are still in their bedrooms! Austins yodeling is kind of like Rob's whistling: the perfect addition in just the right places. And wait until Christmas and then watch Full of Cheer. The ultimate in Tim goofiness in my opinion. Once again THANKYOU, DJ, for making me smile when I needed it.

Home Free's interpretation for their videos for the vast array of genre they perform is sensational and very entertaining. They have videos that are serious and sincere to funny and hilarious and often catch us the audience discerning that a great amount of thought went into producing to enhance the message in the delivery. They bring an emotional aspect that is fresh and thought provoking each time. They are very intentional and deliver with excellance. They simply don't put out junk, they bring it with a very high end and are very deliberate with their message of their productions. ❣

This is one of my favorite Home Free songs, it just looks like they had so much fun with this and I love that for them. I didn't know how I felt about the yodeling when I first heard this song but it has grown on me! I definitely think it fits the vibe that they accomplished with this cover. Austin also yodels a little in "Thank God I'm A Country Boy". One reactor said that long ago this kind of yodel was called "cooing" (I'd never heard of it but it's cute). I read some time ago that you can't yodel if you don't have your tonsils (?).
