NBA Today’s Chiney Ogwumike, Ramona Shelburne and Kendrick Perkins debate if health is the only thing that could keep the Los Angeles Lakers out of the playoffs. The most ideal situation for the Lakers: Having the Warriors and Kings lose both of their remaining games and the Lakers win both would have them face the Suns/Pels for the 7th seed in the play-in. And if they win that, and the Thunder sneak into the 2nd seed at the last second, that's the Lakers best chance to get past the 1st round. Lakers are currently 0-2 vs Nugs & 1-3 vs Wolves this season, they do NOT want them in the 1st round. But the Lakers are 3-1 vs Thunder. Gotta admit as a Lakers fan, the Lakers going deep in the playoffs won't be a cakewalk at all. I'd be shocked if they make it past the 1st round. Darvin Ham is most likely gonna get outcoached, just being realistic.

If you ever wonder why they always talk about Lakers and GSW, look how much revenue those teams make for the league. GSW brought in 765m and Lakers brought in 516m. You think the Nuggets, OKC, or Wolves bring even close combined to Lakers/ GSW combined? They could be 14/15 seeding or in a European style regulation, they will always be talked about.

West Conference is not as good as everyone is making them out to be. Do you look at any of those teams 3 down and think any of them would even stand a chance against the Spurs back in the Duncan days or the Warriors back in 2016 or 2017. There are alot of evenly matched teams. The Lakers also coast a bit. They picked it up in the mid season tournament and they will pick it up in the playoffs too. There is no juggernaut standing in their way. Denver is the only team playing good team basketball and they don't have the depth they did last year. Boston has the best record by far but they don't look invincible or anything like the Spurs in their hayday or the Lakers, Warriors, Bulls....etc.

The Lakers aren’t going to anywhere they’re done. GS will win the play in and if they somehow avoid Denver in the first round GS are going to the WCF. Brunson is a great player but he’s not the best player in the east Giannis is the best player in the east. They can beat them but Pels been playing pretty good recently and BI may be back for this game. Definitely a tough one. With AD back, they have a chance cuz they have nobody that can stop him. No the only factor that keep the Lakers out of the playoffs is taurean prince. The Lakers are 22-5 when prince plays less than 25 minutes . Which in turn means whenever prince isn't playing they're the best team in the league. He's got the worst defensive rating on the team. He can't rebound. He only scored an amount that matters once every three games. He regularly has the worst plus minus on the team. And he can cost the team the team the game in only ten minutes of play. Darvin ham is the worst coach in NBA history. And that's not an exaggeration. If the Lakers are 22-5 when prince plays less than 25 minutes then why is he playing at all
