Most coasters in the UK are short.. so thats why the length is more annoying. Plus the height of it shouldn’t correlate with such a short ride experience
It will definitely go into the break run with a lot of speed! It would have been cool if the layout included a few more low to the ground sections towards the end.
What makes Hyperia seem short is that it has such few elements, all big and drawn out, so your up down up down up down turn and done, whilst the others have a lot going on in that time.
Hi Tehre, a great comparison, it's the longest in terms of length at Thorpe Park but because of the high speed ans those insane elements it's a shorter experience than some people expect but I think it will be great throughout. Cheers Peter 🙂
I’m pretty sure Hyperia’s ride length is almost the same as zadra at energylandia, but zadra packs in a lot more smaller, less unique elements so feels longer. With all of Hyperia’s elements packing a punch in their own unique way I think it will be superior to a longer ride that doesn’t do as much like a B&M hyper, which is really just loads of repetitive floater hills and turns but lasts longer
I am so glad Thorpe went with Mack Rides for this coaster. The layout is so much more inventive than one that B&M would have designed. There should hopefully be a brilliant mix of floater and ejector airtime with some brilliant inversions and an amazing first drop!
This will ride will pack a punch the speed will be good all the way through i think the ride length is good but yes even a little something at the end would of made it that little bit better but the speed will be intense throughout and with only a lap bar i think it will suprsie a lot people . Just the fear factor of the lift hill will be a great experience so in all i think this ride will be a fast and exciting ride.
I totally agree. It’s definitely going to be the best coaster in the UK. The sheer height and speed mixed in with a lap bar will make it an amazing ride!!
@@andrewneil6649 I’ve heard something suggesting that they will only install the trim brakes on the non-inverted Immelmann if the train is going too quickly through the twist afterwards, so hopefully they don’t end up getting installed!
I think a lot of people are just disappointed they didn’t add one or two more elements, or even some high speed turns to better utilize the speed the train is going at before the brake run
Compared with the UK which has a lot of shorter rides, America has many more coasters with longer ride lengths, like VelociCoaster at Universal Islands of Adventure and the Beast at kings Island!
They do have a lot of older B&M coasters which are long, and overall they do have lot more older rides that last longer, but they also have things like Iron gwazi which is basically Zadra and isn't the longest ride to ever exist
@@ThrillsandForcesThis ride looks exponentially better than either of those. As an American who’s ridden both of those rides with the beast being at my home park. Those are 2 of the most overrated coasters in history.
Well, blame TP and not Mack Rides. TP could have spent more money on this coaster. Especially after such a long time without any major attraction. The customer gives certain things that the coaster should have to the responsible company and they design different layouts based on the stats and the space. Of course, land procurement and other things come into play, as does money. If the customer says I want a 60 meter high track, with overturns and high speed, but so much money is available, then it's different than if the customer says: Design me a super high, long and super high track on the surface fast coaster. Money doesn't play a role, then the story looks different. A B&M Mega Coaster wouldnt fit into that space. Intam is too expensive, so whats left in a similiar category? Mack!
@@ThrillsandForces mack is also know for high capacivity. Europa Park is the Park World wide with the fastest Operation, due to the way the coasters are designed. I see 3 Block breaks. Im sure it will operate great. Faster than any other coaster in TP
There’s no doubt that it’s a short coaster, but the layout is going to be incredible. The first drop, airtime and crazy elements should hopefully make up for it.
We don’t have the room in the UK for the long arse ones America has. Most of our theme parks are in urban areas and have strict planning requirements, plus Merlin are tight on their budgets 😂😂
Na your comparisons doesnt make sense. U have to take into account the speed of each ride as well + track length. If i ride with 60km/h over 800m track length, the ride experience is longer than if i would ride a coaster with the same length but 90km/ h. Hyperion is a short ride. Will the coaster suck? I think it will be a thrill seeking top 10 coaster in europe and no 1 in UK. But even i think this ride will be great, it will be a bit too short. Taking the lifthill beside, its an "ok" length, but definetly could be 200-300 m longer imo. Compare this to Kärnan, G-Force Expedition, Silver Star, Big One, Shamballa (just to name a few in europe) who are in the same/ similiar category and it will be the shortes ride of all of em.
It would have been cool if it was a little longer even if it was only by 10 seconds or so! I also definitely see your reasoning behind the comparisons being better if I included speed and track length too. They are something I could always include in similar future videos.
It is a bit short, but rides like The Smiler, Icon and the Big One are long but not all that great whereas Zadra is also rather short but excellent. I'm not worried about the length.
@@ThrillsandForces Zadra is excellent and intense - definitely worth a trip to Energylandia. Hyperia looks like it'll have a different character - somewhere in between the gracefulness of a B&M hyper like Shambhala and the madness of Zadra. Of course, that's just going off POVs - we won't know for sure until it's open. I think I was just trying to say that I hadn't noticed any relation between the quality of a ride and its length.
I did that because the ride length of Hyperia doesn’t really stand up against rides such as the Smiler and Icon. But if I did the video again I would probably add a few more longer coasters to compare it to!
