Ipoh is my hometown! It’s pronounced “eee-poh” like “Eeyore”, not “ip-po” like “hippo”. 😅 There’s honestly not much to do but that’s part of the charm? Really sleepy town, our food is great though. I’m glad you had curry mee, my favourite is actually the dry version and I miss it so much because you can’t get it anywhere else. The fishy things in char kuay teow are cockles, you can actually ask to not put it in and the dish won’t be as fishy.
